Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Is anybody having this engine effects issue on MSFS2020 with PMDG737 engines running? I don't see this happening with other jets. Thanks.

Hi ... any way to turn off AND keep off assists ... tried going through the whole lot and de-activating,(i.e. opting for HARD mode) but remain to plague me in external view ... ???

The logbook drives me bonkers! It only records some of my flights. I just finished a flight of several hundred miles in the 747 (which I can't always land, but this time it was nice as can be) but it's not recorded. Grrr... 😠

According to the notes for update 1.0.95, it should be working right out of the box with a controller. However whenever I try to increase or decrease the throttles using the A+B buttons on my controller. It'll only go to the detent positions only. I can't go from lets say 0% to 15%.

Fenix integration into Simbrief doesn't work for me. There is file for that on the official msfs forum, however, fuel calculation doesn't match at all. I landed with 5tons of fuel on board at my destination. Is there a solution for this? Which Fuel Factor would be needed, if there is no correct file for simbrief yet?

Hello everyone; I have a problem with the latest FSUIPC7 It doesn't react like the old ones (which I used to use for prepar3d) I can't get the windows displayed on the vendor's page which allows me to configure the touch of my X52 pro This is what I should get! After some googling and research I've seen a few posts across the internet about this issue. I'm wondering if its a sim issue or something specific to my setup. I don't have the greatest PC lets start with that i7 4790k, 1070 and 16GB. I run mostly med/low settings @1080P with clouds on High. I usually limit my FPS to 30 and have toyed with this by using the in sim limiter and through NVIDIA control panel. From cold and dark throughout the majority of my flight I can get between 20-30 FPS but if I run unlimited my FPS can be as high as 40/50 (at cruise). Hello All, Apologies if this is a stupid question. After many years enjoying P3D and FSX before that, I have finally started exploring MSFS2020. Is there a way to pan around the cockpit, and around the aircraft when in external view, using the hat switch on the CH products yoke? Regards, Stephen Shallcross.

I was wondering if it was possible to download the chart database for Navigraph. Been really enjoying them in VR with the FBW and Fenix, it's neat how they're attached to the iPad. My question is: Is it possible to have the entire database locally on your computer so it doesn't have to download the charts each time you select one? It'd be neat to have them locally to save a bit of performance from the download "wait."

Hi, I wonder if someone can give me advice regarding which replay app works best with FENIX. I just want to watch my landings from outside view. I tried the build in beta replay from dev mode, which is mostly working. The only problem I have is that when replay ends and I am back in my plane, I lost switches animation ( I can click the swichtes but they do not move ). Any advices ? Best regards, Pierre

I found the only way to get the database to update using Navigraph subscription is to do the manual download of the exe installer for current cycle. The App that works great for the PMDG 737 etc does not find the Fenix, but the manual exe file does. I hope Navigraph will update the App, I have tried both the new and old one, so it is automated. Anyone else find this?

I had a small up date waiting for me when I fired up my sim this morning and since installing it I have crashed to desktop twice. Once in mid flight and the other after I completed a flight. Anyone else had this happen today?

I don't want fs2crew's command center to auto launch every time I load up MSFS. Is there a way to prevent this? Sometimes I'm flying GA planes that do not require the addon.

Whenever I load my fp on the EFB, it doesn't seem to load it into the MCDU. I've tried hitting the INIT page and then pressing INIT REQUEST, but it doens't fill in the from/to flt nbr, etc for me.

Can anyone recommend a good captain view profile for the fenix? The ones i have are either too close or too far and I was hoping to see if there was something out there in between. Thanks!

Hi all, I have been on P3D and wanting to try MSFS and now steam is having a sale but I dont know which platform to get it? Should I go to Steam or Microsoft store which also has a sale now? Which of the 2 platfroms offer the fastest update and simplicity? Thanks

In 2011 a very detailed tutorial was written for a flight from Houston to Los Angeles using the PMDG B737 for FSX. It is still in the AVSIM library and can be found by searching for the author Tom Risager. Not sure if every function covered is present in MSFS 2020 as I have just unarchived it. Some of you long timers (like me) may remember it. It is a pdf document and I highly recommend it, especially for those new to the 737!

I posted two topics referencing a guide for the 737 that is available on Avsim. Both mysteriously disappeared. Is it possible that the author no longer wants it available and Avsim is automatically deleting references to it???. It would be a really helpful addition for newbies to this great add on aircraft.

I was not pleased with the photogrammetry from Naples or the previous from London. First time I've ever turned photogrammetry off do you guys have it on or off. Naples had objects floating in the air which is of course not normal.

I just had an epiphany as to how to solve this Fenix Support forum issue! As I've demonstrated in this very post, and is clearly laid out how to do in the Avsim post below...all we need to do is add tags to our posts and its DONE! If you're post is a non-Fenix post, simply add a prefix tag of NOTFenix...and if a simmer here wants to filter out the over 75% of current threads that ARE Finex, they just click the red tag and it filters to all non-Fenix posts! Brilliant! 🙂 Of course, to reciprocate ...Fenix'ers would just make the prefix tag "Fenix" and they could jump to JUST Fenix-related posts. Of course this would require discipline and commitment …

Going to the FlyByWire Simulations web site I see that the Stable, Development and Experimental versions are all now unavailable. I am wondering why this is so? Have they stopped work on this amazing product which would be very sad indeed. Kind regards Richard

Where I fly in the Western US the Bing tiles usually look like the they had coffee spilled on them where as the ARC GIS tiles (Google Tile MOD) look clean and natural. Is this a known problem and will it be corrected? sp
