Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello all, 🙂 Basically i am very interested in your experiences of Vatsim (which is one of the most socially interactive parts of all world flight simulation). I have seen 2 pro social media videos and Vatsim was all i hoped it would be. Absolutely brilliant. That said, a few members here have correctly pointed out that so much airspace/ATC centres are frequently unpopulated across the world. When it works, though. it works really good. And why is the uk and west europe generally busier atm ? Be great to see higher numbers elsewhere.

Hi, I recently had to reinstall MSFS with help from Zendesk support after it wouldn't load. I also had to apply the mandatory update afterwards. Apart from noticing several changes in the way MSFS works (which I am working through as I come across them) the biggest issue I have is that neither my Saitek Radio nor Multi Panel have any display and also don't seem to be working.. I have FSUIPC, SpadNext installed and and have also run the USB Power Management changes on the USB ports and also installed the Logitech plugin. I am so tempted to buy the Fenix A320, the price is excellent and the plane looks spectacular. However, I do have the PMDG 737 and love it. I have read a lot on this forum about how great the FBW A320 is and I am really wondering if it makes sense for a primarily 737 guy to buy the Fenix if the FBW would suit my needs. I know that the Fenix is the superior bird, but just how is the FBW, and I am just curious if anyone would recommend I just stick with the FBW. I haven't really flown the FBW and have not yet purchased the Fenix. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Cheers, Pete

I have purchased the EIDW Dublin airport in the Orbx sale but am unable to get it to load as MSFS CTD anywhere around the airport, even with only the default EIDW airport. I believe this could be an existing issue, but wondered if anyone had got it to work? I have removed all add-ons (so taken the game back to a base sim) but the CTD continues. I have cleared all caches and deleted index files as per some suggestions but cannot get this working at all. Has anyone got this working or is this area 100% broken until Asobo fix it?

Hi, I brought the Hong Kong VHHH from WF Scenery for MSFS 2020 at simmarket. I have the problem, that the roofs off the default airport are still visible above the modeled roofs from WF Scenery I use your scenery together with "SamScene3D Hong Kong City Times" ( if it matters) To solve the Problem, I deleted the WF Scenery VHHH Airport and SamScene3D Hong Kong City Times and then saw the default airport. Then I installed both again and deleted the rolling cache, but the problem is the same. Do you have a soloution for me? Thanks Erik

In case anyone is using the TDS GTNXi - and the Carenado Seneca V. Places the screen into the cockpit. Still requires use of the popup - but at least you can navigate on it now. Been away for a week and now I suddenly have problems when flying the Fenix. - Got a CTD after clicking Start flight (or whatever that button says) - All screens were black after loading the plane (turn around state): only rebooting the PC and sim solved this - Got a CTD during final approach - Got a CTD when trying to unpause the sim (during climb) Never had CTD's before so I wonder what's going on. I have just learned that for CTRL E to work (auto start engines with the Aerosoft DH6 Twin Otter) that the DC Master switch must be set ON and the External switch also set ON before the engines will start. I have NOT noticed this with any other aircraft (they all will start with CTRL E without having to turn on anything) and believe it is (almost) a bug especially as it is NOT documented the the user manual. Has anyone else discovered this?

Just wandering is there any advice anyone can give me with getting the FBW A320 to load in the sim. As of now my the sim hangs on the loading screen with the bar all the way to the right and never loading into the sim. I have to force a shutdown every time I try this bird. I've installed all variants (stable, development, and experimental) to no avail. Between this mod and the original where the APU will not start the default bird is not an option. Love the Fenix version but wanted the sharklet bird working as I just flew on one in the real world. You can tell the difference between the NEO and original A320 in the real world.

Hello everyone! I calibrated the TCA (Captain Pack Airbus Edition) with Thrusthmaster's Youtube tutorial. When I started the Msfs2020 and flew the A320 the flaps and spoiler levers were inverted. In the quadrant, the spoiler and flaps levers in position 0 were "full" in the simulator. At position 4 (full) in the quadrant, in the simulator they were at 0. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it! Thanks

Hello, I am using the AIG manager and traffic controller, but the controller is hit or miss so I prefer other options. That's the question because I want to use live traffic but only use AIG models and would like to know what's the best way to do this? If I leave real time traffic on, I get a mismatch of AIG planes and Default planes, If I leave traffic off then I get The AIG models, but all the planes are in the wrong airports. I have seen tons of model matching software that seems like it would allow the right planes at the right airports. They all are for Vatsim which I don't have and am embarrassed to admit that I don't know what that is. So how can I get the right ai…

Ram usage says 22%. Before clicking on it, was 57%. Only took 5 seconds to flush. There are probably a dozen or more of these little freeware ram flush utilities available. This one restores a clogged MSFS running fully during long flights for me. The Ram thingy only shows on the desktop, not in MSFS. Mine is part of an iObit app which I use, Advanced System Care. I have seen messages here saying it can cause big problems in MSFS depending on if you set it to use automatic options (Advanced System Care is a giant app that does lots of stuff). Hi, Since i mostly fly in areas im not familiar with (USA for example), I like to have Google Earth open on my tablet and follow my route manually (scrolling). So while the AP does its thing and im in cruise i can look at look at photos of nearby towns, monuments and nature. It would be great if i coul import a flight plan from say Skyvector into Google earth. I dont even need actual tracking. I just want to see lines of where my fightplan takes me in either Google Earth or Maps. Only way i have found to do this is to go into Google My Maps and create the lines manually using GPS Coordinates of VORs and Waypoints which is much work. Is t…

So just recently I discovered AIG Traffic, but even after 8 hours (not kidding) I cannot make it run.. I followed 4 different videos, all are basically the same and yet when in game, nothing injects.. Did anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks for any suggestions, getting desperate here..

It concerned two planes developped for Prepar3D under GMax v1.2 but due to personal events, this project was put on hold until last year. So when it come to rain seen at a far distance, the current implementation looks fantastic for the most part. My jaw has dropped when I've seen the familiar hills near where I live get shrouded in sheets of rain in a very convincing manner. So close to the real thing it's crazy. The issue is when you look just outside the plane. You cannot see raindrops day or night unless there is some artificial light source shining on them or lightening flashes. This was not always the case and I can't even remember which update did it but it just isn't realistic. Now I get that it was probably overdone before but in real life, raindrops are clearly visible in daylight. As it stan…
