Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

It's been some time since I set up custom cockpit camera views and as I had forgotten I watched a YouTube tutorial which stated the following - Find the view required, Press CTRL + ALT + one of the numpad keys to store the view and then to use that view press ALT + the numpad key assigned. That does not work for me. Can someone please 'point me' to a good and accurate tutorial. Also I thought that assigning custom camera views was set up for various aircraft types eg piston prop, jet aircraft etc. The tutorial did not mention that. Lastly how are these setups backed up in case either a re-installation of MSFS is required OR an update corrup…

I have created a livery for my VA.I expected each pilot could generate their tail (and wing) numbers in MSFS flight configuration panel, so I don't have to create a livery for each aircraft registration. But it doesn't work and I can't figure it out. So, as we are now in a separates thread, this is for some open discussion about what's bothering us about the PMDG updates, communication and decision to split up each own model in a own selling peace of product. I do not like the promises that are being made and not kept. I do not like the harsh attacks from users AND PMDG at each other I do not like the way pmdg is handling the users feedback . Instead of listening and being as neutral as possible they react like we are not welcome to share opinions. It's a simulator and a hobby.... Marcus

I have tried 2 flights in a row from KSBA and after I tried to start the engines, I've gotten this message: "NAV TCAS Fault GPWS Terrain Fault, F/CTL Direct Law - Man pitch trim" It then shows a bunch of things inactive. I've been using the excellent Kodiak along with the modded Bonanza, the freeware Savage Grravel and the default C172 as my go-to GA planes recently. However I'm on the lookout for a bit older GA that also has basic autopilot functions. I've been looking at the Aeroplane Heaven Cessna 140 which looks amazing, but I don't think it comes with an autopilot. Any suggestions?

Any good way of improving this issue? In some heavy scenery scenarios, I get massive stutters and framerates into single figures when ATC speaks. Fortunately, it's not so bad most of the time though still quite noticeable.

People complained about Rome and Naples being post-apocolyptic jungles after WU9, even though they already had perfect photogrammatry pre-WU9-. It is beyond me why Asobo-MS had to update these cities and ruin them? Post WU10 and installing all the updates on the other WUs (perhaps a mistake), I see the trees issue also in cities like Zurich and LA, ruining them. Asobo-MS, please fix this in the next SU, as it completely ruins the experience. Thank goodness the issue is not present in all PG cities, so I wonder why some are affected and others not.

I don't have MSFS yet because I have an older configuration but perhaps it might be good enough for MSFS anyway. Can anyone tell me if the configuration below can run MSFS reasonably well ? OK I am trying out this Heavy Division with the B787 - Runway Start. I load the B787. Then I load my plan from Simbrief. LOAD/SAVE and load the KSFO-KLAX.pln It appears on the world map, including the SID, Waypoints, Stars, etc including origin and destination. So I press FLY and B787 takes me to the runway for Departure. However, when I adjust the ND range, the flight plan simply does not exist. I have also tried using the MSFS in game planner, from origin to destination - Same result. So what step have I missed. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello, in the last days I wanted to use MSFS again after a longer time. As a user like me who uses the sim maybe one or two times in 3 months I always have to update when I start my sim. I think the last update was World Update 10 (v1.26.5.0, which I can read in the title bar of the windowed MSFS). I always clicked on update whenever I saw there was something new so I could use the sim. It all worked like it should until maybe 3-4 days ago. I am unsure of how much work goes into creating and placing birds and other dynamic objects in the sim, but does anyone else find the pricing model of 'FS Birds' and the newly released 'Traffic in Sight' a complete turnoff? Each release covers a small area and is charged separately. I fly randomly around the world and would love to encounter birds, drones etc but for the privilege, will have to spend hundreds of dollars. While I understand the birds are handcrafted and native to that part of the world, surely there must be a better way. I'm wondering whether anyone here has purchased the just-released KCRW (Charleston, West Virginia) airport? The screenshots look good, but I've been burned the last couple of times I purchased anything from the Marketplace (from other vendors). I wish someone would do my hometown airport of KHTS in Huntington, West Virginia. It's pretty much the worst-looking airport in the entire sim. There are jungle airfields in the middle of Africa that look better. 90% of the airport buildings are completely absent at KHTS. This was the site of the 1970 plane crash that killed the entire Marshall University football team and staff (72 total).

Hi all, I installed flight sim 2020 deluxe edition yesterday, and all was fine. Today i went on it, and something had happened and said i had to install it again! Very annoying as it took like 5 hours last night! Any ideas why this happened?

I have been following the standard procedure for importing a flight plan from simbrief that is well described elsewhere but when I go to the flightplan page the waypoints are there but no flight levels except for the STAR. I did have this working but not now. I have the issue with both the development and experimental version. Any ideas? Bruce

After generating a flightplan at Simbrief, I cannot found a way to examine the vertical profile of the flight (altitudes at waypoints), I have to wait to see that at the aircraft FMS once the plan is introduced. Am I missing something ? Thanks
