How are this two things tied to each other. I'm using an LOD of 100 and ground textures (eg.: airplane position markings at a gate) look horrible almost unreadable. When increasing to say 200, then they start to become better. Something is not right. I don't use more LOD than 100 for performance and stutter issues. Anyone having this problem? Thx

It's time we had a dedicated 'visibility in live weather mode' thread! I'm a IRL pilot. Live weather is excellent however ever since launch, visibility in live weather mode is always unlimited. Visibility never changes! I'm fed up of flying in almost unlimited visibility. Surely by now, visibility from the meteoblue model can be implemented in the SIM in live weather mode. Everything else (clouds, winds, temperatures) is! Please Asobo, model visibility changes in the atmosphere in live weather mode! With the continued disconnection issues lately i was curious as to how others pings were. Especially the Asia/Oceanic area. I still get daily offline notices on every flight. An 86ms ping is unacceptable when you have a good connection like mine. Previous pings either using auto or South East Asia server were 3ms before the last SU/WU.

I have asked this in a past thread with not much response, but does any one have the solution to this AP either not starting or always shutting off .Never had this problem with the FBW 320 or the 737.I have the MCDU set up perfectly so this is a mystery. The FENIX discourse does not answer this problem. any ideas about this, because other than this major problem, the bird is second to none.

The fact that you cannot actually "walk" in MSFS 2020 is an immersion killer. A lot of games are able to simulate your character actually walking, getting into a chair, etc. In MSFS you're basically just gliding around like you're on rails. You can't actually climb into the left-hand seat, basically, all you can do is posítion your camera. Hopefully, an enterprising modder is on this.

I downloaded a livery for the Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft (REX airlines) and even though the image of the aircraft in the REX livery displayed in the flightsim.TO website shows the livery on a wheeled variant of the aircraft, the only variant where the livery is selectable in MSFS is the floatplane variant. The instructions are to simply place the file/folder in the community folder which I did. Are there any special tricks involved with 3rd party liveries for the Aerosoft DHC-6? I did not see anything in the user manual. Thanks

Is there a way to select an approach on any of the systems (GNS 530, G1000, etc) without being forced to also select a transition? I've flown with multiple navigation systems IRL and in XPlane and transition are entirely optional. What's the deal in MSFS currently?

Allows you to change date, time, weather type, weather preset, and the plane. The red text on the left shows you original and modified files in Community and Official (discovery flights, missions, bush trips). I'm not sure what happens if you don't restore the files in Official before starting the Searching for Updates app right atter a new Sim Update. Maybe have to download huge amounts of files, instead of just the updates. I have installed MSFS on drive D. The base sim and the extras all were pointed to D. On C it also installed part of the game including a duplicate Community folder and Official folder. Is there a way to get all the files on D, or at least delete some of the duplicate files on C like the Community folder and Official folder ?

Hi all I just wondered what the best procedure is for climbing out in the PMDG. It's all a bit overwhelming. I have everything set up correctly in the FMC and ATC clears me to say 15,000 feet. When I reach 15,000 feet I get cleared to say 21,000 feet. When I dial this into the altitude selector nothing happens. How do I initiate the climb? I am in VNAV mode and I would expect this to happen automatically. There are no constraints. Do I have to click LVL CHG and then VNAV again? If I just click LVL CHG it stays out of VNAV mode when I reach the target altitude. I see there is the ALT INTV button too, but haven't used this yet. Just wondering how the pros d…

For over a year I have not had stutters or problems with ground handling. Then all of a sudden I started to get them. I tried all the suggestions that were given here and nothing worked. I reinstalled the sim several times. I ran it with an empty Community folder. Nothing worked. I would be all over the runway on takeoff and once i got in the air the flight would be real erratic with stutters and then CTD. When I did get several thousand feet up and made it through the stutters, everything would work fine. After trying everything else, I suspected my controllers. I unplugged the USB connections and plugged them into different sockets. Now everything is sm…

I've watched several YouTube videos and the indicted documentation for the installation and use of AIG AI Manager (v1.1.0.108), but I cannot for the life of me figure out where I have gone wrong. When I try to install an online flightplan using the OCI, the task is aborted with a message "Please activate AIGAIM-OCI using the settings." >SETTINGS>AIGAIM-OCI reveals that all fields appear to be compiled as per tutorials. I just changed the aircraft to fly to another variant of the same aircraft (the Aerosoft DH6 Twin Otter and there are variants for wheeled, floats, skis etc) and found that the keyboard mapping which I set up for another variant (which I named DH6 KEYBOARD) does not work with the different variant I chose (eg I had set up all the NUM keypad number keys to different cockpit instrument views). All the instrument panels look the same so why would the keys I mapped work I wondered. I have to assume then that keyboard settings become part of a particular aircraft or variant. So I'm hopping into the TBM 930 for the first time and ensuring my bravo throttle quadrant is set up accordingly. After throttling down, I'm trying to figure out how to use the throttle to reverse-thrust past the detent using axis control. So far, I've found the following when going into 'controls options': 1) If selecting 'Throttle 1 Decrease' and bringing the throttle to the detent and then back, it assigns it joystick button 25. When assigned like this, if I bring the quadrant throttle back past the detent, the throttle in cockpit automatically goes back to full, 100% reverse thrust---so there's no axis movement. I find the camera system too complex compared to P3D 😬 Can anyone point me to a good guide on how to set up and cycle views easily? Alternatively, are there any camera presets which anyone can recommend that would fit the CRJ/PMDG/Fenix? Also, I'm really into wing views and missing them currently, so looking also to understand how to add them. Just looking at the camera menu causes me a headache 😁

Hello. While in external view I hear the sound of traffic around me, especially at the airport, what happens to me inside the cabin of my PMDG is that it is barely audible. I've tried everything, even leaving only the "other planes" setting at 100 and the rest at zero. You hear something but very little. I know that there will be many who say that they listen to it perfectly, or that there is no need to listen to it so much, but for those who are like me... does anyone know any tricks? my traffic is the AIG. Thank you!
