Not sure if this is the right place to post this as I was once told there is a forum for helicopters in MSFS, but I can't find it in Avsim. Anyway, please move post if required. This is a freeware helicopter for MSFS available at fightsim.to. Please note...this is not the upcoming release of this helicopter by Asobo.

Is there a way that you can set up presets for control options for individual aircraft? For example, when I use the PMDG 737, I have to go through each of my controllers to ensure they are set for the 737. The settings for say the Fenix A320 are in some cases different, so I choose different profiles. Wouldn't it be great to be able to manage these individual profiles and merge them into a master profile, so that I would just have to click one button for the PMDG 737 and another button for the Fenix A320 and so on.

Unlike default ATC FSHud clears you for a STAR. Nice. (At least... I do think this is more realistic...?) I do wonder how this all works in real life: once you are cleared to fly a STAR by ATC are you also cleared to descent and keep constraints where needed or are you simply cleared to fly the procedure but do you still need to wait for ATC to tell you when to descent and where to? Afaik once you are cleared to fly for instance an ILS approach you may (and need to) descent whenever needed to properly fly that approach. Does this also apply to STARs or not?

This may (or may not) be PMDG/737 related (as it uses its own airport services), but I've suddenly lost all my airport services (at all airports). Things I have tried: 1) Set all airport, road traffic to 100%. 2) Disabled ALL my community add-ons - though the 737 was installed in the Community folder by default. I'm on the MS Store version, so it's very difficult to copy Community folders to a kocation outside of the MS protected folder. Currently, I only have the DC-6 and 737 in there. 3) Removed AirportServices from the OneStore location then allowed MSFS to re-download them on the next restart. 4) Did a Windows repair on MSFS. None of the abov…

The last few weeks only very few updates to FBW's A320Neo were to be seen. Not all that long ago Andreas Guether, one of the developers of the FlyByWire team, announced his withdrawal from the program. As of that time the mentioned "slow down" in updates occurred. Was it coincidence that all this happened a little while after Fenix released their A320? Or lost the FBW team interest in further development at the same speed as they used to do when Andreas left? I don't hope that FBW will throw the towel and withdraw entirely from the project. Or does this lull in development flow mean that great things are awaiting us in the, near, future? Just wondering.

Hello, to keep it short: When i push the ALT button in my C337, it goes in a steeep dive. Can only stop it when i deactivate the ALT holding function again. There seems to be no function to set an altitude...i thought its just a simple ALT HLD function. Am i doing something wrong or is the autopilot buggy? I found no threads to this topic. And second: Left toe brake moves the copilot-pedals, right toe brake moves both pilots pedals. Can anybody confirm thats a bug? i dont know why i bought this Carenado stuff after all these experiences in FSX...

Hi, does anyone know what causes those odd shadowish textures that kinda follows the for example landing gear wheels when moving on the ground. I sometimes it's around some parts of the plane too.

Should be in the future an option to set MSFS to start with a predeterminated aircraft and location, as we could do at FSX ?

I like to get cabin views while I'm flying but the only way I know to get back there is to move my position with the arrow keys. Is there an easy way to save these views I could do it in FSX.

If you had to limit your picks to three planes to use in MSFS (and that includes deluxe, premium deluxe, freeware and pay ware - if you tried any), which ones would you pick? And in what order? I'd appreciate it if your answers had different categories. I'm particularly interested in propeller planes, private jets and commercial jets. And if any of you has the PMDG DC-6, how would you rank it among the others?

For anyone interested it is on there forum. https://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=238&t=13700&p=108256&hilit=310#p108256 Changelog 1. The flight model on landing has been adjusted slightly so that there's a bit more lift on the flare and the struts are a little more flexible. This will affect your landings slightly, making the "drop and stick" effect less severe but it is still there and authentic to the 310's unique characteristics. 2. The elevator trim indicator is now positioned more realistically so that the neutral (0.0) position is towards the bottom of the takeoff range, not the top of that range. You may want to visually ch…

When I view the PMDG 737-700 in the external view, I prefer to keep all the flight instruments on the screen -- e.g., altitude, heading, speed, engine settings. But on my system, these flight instruments look like steam-driven gauges from last century, like a Cessna 152. Is there any way I can get the modernized instrument readouts, like the Cessna Longitude uses on its external view? Also, the thruster levels on my external view always show a reading of 0 (zero) regardless of actual thrust settings. Is this a problem with my setup, or is this simply a work-in-progress for PMDG? Thanks for any help!

I use honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant for fenix320 and use mobiflight interface to assign various controls. I have been able to manage autopilot push (toggle) buttons on honey comb bravo to assign for push pull functions of FCU. However, i have not been able to use left and right rotary switches to increase or decrease altitude, V/S, speed or heading. I asked this question on mobiflight discord and was given the answer but i couldn't understand the steps. It was too confusing for me. Has anyone got the solution and if so can you please share the exact settings and steps to follow? Thanks Ashun

Hello, I've been flying the Fenix for a week and really enjoying it... A few questions: I've got the Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick and having a slight issue with the tiller. Sometimes, when holding the stick to left or right, the plane will begin to turn then stop. I can see the tiller in the 'bus is just going back central. However, after landing, it seems to be working fine. This is happening irrespective of speed. I was hoping to bound seat belts to a shortcut key but can't actually find it anywhere. I'm importing my flight plan and winds via SimBrief. Does this mean I can ignore TRIP WIND on INIT page 2 on the MCDU? I inadvertently …

After every single Windows update, in Device Manager 1) USB controllers and 2) Human Interface Devices...Properties | Power Management all change back to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". About 20 each in 1) and 2). What fun to manually uncheck all those boxes marked "allow the computer..." If I don't, then right after every windows update I get 3 to 10 second pauses in flight and the tell tale sound (BeeTelBeep) of USB doing its off then right back on thing. Then I go uncheck those boxes in device manager and all is well again. Until the next Windows update in a few weeks. (Sigh).

Hype Performance Group, are releasing the Luxury variant of their payware H145 tomorrow morning. Quoting their Discord announcement, I've been looking forward to this variant because it has inflatable floatation on it's skids. I've been doing NeoFly SAR missions in float planes and ever since I saw those bags inflated I've looked forward to adding it to my NeoFly hangar.

Morning all- I have eased my way back into MSFS to work on my Instrument Rating. I am glad to see some many improvements with MSFS over the past year. I see Wx is still a tough subject all around with the clamped down 3rd party access. I had been using REX Weather Force and see that it's similar often times to the MSFS METAR data. Fine. ATIS from MSFS doesn't match anything very close to METAR from say ForeFlight or any other online METAR source. It looks like I can take or leave REX in terms of weather depiction and complete disregard the ATIS information I hear when dialed into a local station? I trust the Wx depiction, specifically winds, are more…

I have MSFS installed on two separate computers. Yesterday I spent two hours before I finally got MSFS to actually complete loading to the airport. I had to try disabling community folder, safe mode, deleting rolling cache, and God knows what else. For the past day, I can not get MSFS to load from the home screen to the airport "Ready to Fly" screen. I have tried everything. One minute it works, and then the next minute it doesn't. Both computers are fairly high-end so hardware is not the issue. Internet is very fast, also not the problem. If I can't even fly in safe mode, this photogrammetry disabled, I am out of ideas. MSFS is great when it works, but this is getting ol…

Hi, just want to share my excitement about recent discovery - gliders. It is my first time when i try something without engine. I know, many will think, nah i enjoy my Fenix so i am not interested - wrong, i also enjoy A320, but gliding is so much different experience that u must try - it is AMAZING ! Slow and silent flight, catching uplifts, flying close to the side of the ridge slope, soaring through valleys, slowly climbing to finally jump over the misty and snowy mountains - whole flight is just mesmerizing. I do not remember when last time i had so much excitement about anything in flight sim world... And that fantastic experience is for free…

So I currently have the AP issue with every plane I fly (usually G1000) I take off climb turn on AP NAV or HDG and at some point the plane goes hard left and falls out of the sky. This almost always unrecoverable, basically I do what Maverick did in the original Top Gun. I have reinstalled the Sim, empty Community folder, no add-ons, Vanilla settings, set the deadzones etc and nothing has helped. I also tried the NXi panel and that didn’t work either. Incredibly frustrating that I have yet to complete a single flight since purchase!! Been a flight simmer since flight sims were created. Alienware R9 Intel Core i7-9700K CPU @ 4.6GHz Corsair H60 AIO …
