  1. Hi: I see in the Microsoft Store, MSFS is on sale. I want to purchase the Premium Deluxe for PC version. I'm confused though about the "game pass" thing as I don't own and not interested in Xbox stuff nor do I want to pay a monthly subscription to game pass. I'm confused. Thanks for clarification.

Hi, I wanted to ask the most experienced for advice on how to solve the flickering that I encounter with FS20, especially with distant buildings or objects. Currently I have an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Rog Strix, screen resolution and sim 1920x1080, Asus monitor of about 6 years ago 60hz (I don't remember the model), Intel I7-8700K processor, 32gb of ram. With the settings of the sim I do not experience slowdowns using parameters on high and ultra, but only this annoying flickering. Thanks.

  3. Beechcraft Model 18 (Microsoft / Carenado) Milviz 310r (Milviz) Boeing 247d (Wing 42) Junkers JU 52 (MS - Oliver Mosser) P-38L Lightning (FlyingIron Sims) BN-2A MKIII Trislander (Blackbox Simulation) Or anything else similar (prefer dual turboprop probably, maybe a regular jet) I guess I could also try the Concorde (DC Designs) or the CRJ by Aerosoft, but they are both kind of pricey.

  4. Hello- after posting over at Aerosoft and lamenting the lack of communication in re. any promised Twotter development, I was permanently banned.... any ideas on what I do as a paying customer? I don't know what affront my post may have caused, but to be summarily banned over a query about a product I paid for seems unseemly....perhaps MK or mopperle (the individual who banned me) or someone at AS stops by here and can assist me in figuring out how I access their forums again? I believe I am still entitled to support, nicht? I searched for the Twotter thread that precipitated this, but that was closed here.... and I can't inquire there as each time I try and log in, i…

  5. Hi, has anyone else been getting for major frame drop when going externally for like 5 or 7 seconds, then the frames climb back to normal, for me they are locked at 30. I was at KSAN and when looking towards runway 27 from the gates I get 30 locked frames easily all over any view...then all of a sudden I would prep my flight deck, then go externally again this time I get 15-18 frames looking towards 27 from the gate...waited like 5 to 7 seconds then it was back to 30 frames keeing the same view to see how long it takes for the frames to comeback... Wondering what could be causing this? Its random so its not all the time, 95% of the time the sim is at 30 frames within i…

I bought their Porter back last September. They said stage 2 would be free to previous owners when released. Stage 2 adds optional floats, optional tundra tires, optional steam gauges without glass screens. Anybody know if Milviz has given a clue when it will be released?

MSFS is working well for me, however, the only issue I have is when I complete (or abandon) a flight and want to return to the main menu on the welcome page, MSFS closes instead. This is not like a CTD, it exits cleanly. When I remove the Community folder, MSFS will return to the main menu, as expected, so the issue is obviously being created by one of my addons. Before testing each addon, one at a time, I thought checking herr to see if this was a known issue would be worthwhile. Does anyone know if there's a specific addon causes this behaviour?

  8. Currently hosting it on Flightsim.to, free to download: Mid-Michigan Pack Download Being a local of the Mid-Michigan area I decided to begin enhancing the local smaller fields, making GA flying to these fields more authentic and enjoyable. This so far is just something I’ve decided to do for myself but I decided It would be a waste to be the only one to benefit in these areas. Fun video of fields: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZhQG60Q-tk&feature=youtu.be It’s fairly time-consuming building these so I can’t say when future ones will be added, but I do plan to continue this and expand upon my initial pack. So far the list is KLAN - Lansing KFPK …

  10. Every now and then I fly into an airport of which the charts don't make any sense to me. I simply can't connect the dots. And even my Fenix A320 makes a total mess of everything with the calculated path going in various circles and all over the place. I wonder what you all do whenever you get into such a situation? I tried to edit the flightplan in the MCDU so it would make a bit more sense but even though that may work it feels wrong or odd: after all, real world pilots should be able to actually use these charts and fly the published approaches, right? What if a real world pilot can't make sense of it all? Example for those who would like to see one: yesterday I fl…

  12. I'm a big fan and big user of the Addons Linker, but can't find any details of the use/function of a couple of the dependencies options. If you right click on an entry in the addons folder list, you get four options plus a link to the Dependencies Viewer - 1) Set dependencies for this selected addon - no problem with this option. 2) Add cumulative dependencies to the selected addons - what is this and how does it work? 3) Auto select/unselect used/unused dependencies - what is this and how does it work? 4) Select this addon as a dependency for other addons - this is fine with me, and one I use a lot. I have a pretty extensive addons collectio…

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but as time goes on, many of the new sceneries being released have slowly crept right back up to the P3D prices. I think many of us were convinced that this wasn’t going to be the case. I’m not complaining, and it’s each developer’s right to charge what they want. I am, however, a bit surprised by this. In P3D, it seemed to take far longer for airports to be developed. With MSFS, it is either much quicker, or there are just modifications being made to the P3D versions. Full disclosure, I’m no expert on software development, but I’m just curious as to where everyone else stands with regards to this. It also seems that many of the folks th…

  14. I have MSFS in my main rig (Premium Deluxe version, bought through Steam). However, since I'm traveling to the US (NY and Houston) for 3 weeks and I'm not bringing my laptop, I'm thinking about using my tablet (and a Xbox wireless controler I've just bought) for satisfying my FS needs these days. Some questions: 1) I understand this MSFS version works with the XBox controller (or any controller with Bluetooth). Can I control the autopilot (for example) with the tablet's touchscreen, or am I limited with my inputs? 2) I understand all the rendering is done in server. Any other recommendations for using this? 3) Has anybody been able to make MSFS work with …

Greetings, I'm in (or maybe was) in transition phase from P3D to MSFS when I encountered the problem with the G530/G430 and discussion with the pms50 mod. I've been on discord attemptng to correct a non-starter issue with no GPS cursor. I'm just curious if others have already been down this path.

  19. I have just downloaded this excellent addon and tried it. Everything works as expected but I get no sounds - ie the 'verbals' like "release handbrake" as I hear in all the video tutorials I have watched. I would contact the author however I can't find an email address. None of the video tutorials I watched mentioned anything about any special setup required for sound. I am assuming that the sounds are 'controlled' by one or more sound settings but I seem to have all mine set ON. I can hear every other sound (other than those for the pushback) both inside the cockpit and outside. Any ideas? [added later] I have it. Through experime…

  21. In your experience, are there countries (or US states) where the orthos look fantastic, aren’t covered with clouds or are largely puke green or way too early in Spring brownor partially covered in snow drifts (I’m looking at you northern Illinois and parts of Wisconsin)?? Like “Portugal” or “Australia” or “Texas” or whatever is where you love to fly because the orthos look like reality? Without using Google maps add ons...(tried it and despite a fast connection got weird tile pop ins etc) I’m in this silly rut of my own creation where I keep flying Seattle and SoCal legs in MSFS, get bored or frustrated with the orthos, so spend time fl…

Why are so many roads green? At first I thought it was just my home town and surrounding area, but now that I've flown coast-to-coast (USA), green-tinted roads is a reoccurring theme I see over and over again from dense northern forests to southern deserts. It's very ugly and off-putting IMO. I don't understand why more people aren't complaining about this, unless you are all just sticking to photogrammetry cities and avoiding rural areas.. Related to this, I'm noticing semi-transparent "fake" roads overlayed on top of the "real" roads, though sometimes it doesn't follow the real roads very well. I don't remember this fake road being so obvious before the last update…

When doing a flight from ESML to ESGP I had two way points consisting of two VOR stations SVD 116.2 and BAK 112.7. But I could not receive any signal from either of them. I have checked that my avionics is correctly set also checked with two planes. I created this plan in Plan-G with MSFS data to be displayed. And these VOR stations are shown to exist in Plan-G. Then I also tried creating the flightplan within MSFS and selecting VOR to VOR. Then the two VOR got included in the flight plan. I don't understand this.
