Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I downloaded the 787 both versions and installed in community folder but they do not show up in my choices. I have the deluxe version of FS2020. I know I am doing something wrong. I am new to the 787. Does this download just change the default model?

Now that we have an early version of VNAV implementation in the A32NX Experimental build, are RNAV approaches working - in other words using the APP mode for vertical guidance, not having to use FPA mode? I tried this yesterday and it did not seem to work, not sure if it was pilot error though.

I have just bought the GAYA Vienna scenery from the market place and get the worst performance ever. I use a i9-10850k and RTX 3090 card and get 17-20 fps. Don't even want to imagen what happens when I fly in while there is a vatsim event loaded with traffic... Disappointent...since it has been release for 2 years I don't think they even plan an patch on the performance...

Ok I'm sorry to the complainers but it's almost insane how good MSFS is getting. I just flew over Barcelona and I used to see frames dropping at the airport. I just flew over and it was awesome perfect smoothness. I have SU10 Beta and running DX12 Beta. This sim is getting truly awesome. Sure they could use better images for some parts of Alaska but I think one day it will come they are obviously putting in alot of work. I think my computer is an I7 10700K with 32 gb ram and a 1080 graphics card. If things keep improving I don't think I need to upgrade anything.

Is there currently an aircraft that exceeds my expectations in terms of flight dynamics? I can still remember my aha experience when i flew a2a's cessna 172 for the first time. it was awesome and i thought crazy, the thing behaves exactly like the real one... would the 310 or the 441 meet my expectations? Not that I've ever flown either of them or ever will, but I know what real airplanes feel like. Or does it mean what I'm afraid of waiting for a2a? Can anyone comment on this? Happy landings Manuel

I purchased my very first FS2Crew addon for the Leonardo Maddog and have enjoyed the combo immensely. I see FS2Crew have an addon for the Aerosoft CRJ series so I am considering purchasing the two. What are your latest views on how good the CRJ is? I mostly fly the Just Flight Bae 146 and Maddog - is the CRJ anywhere near these two?

I set a IFR flight from KJFK to KBWI with a flight plan. On route I saved the flight. I am flying the Honda Jet. When I reloaded the flight. The flight plan was not loaded. I was flying the flight plan when I saved it. What am I missing? Thank You. Bill McCracken

Hi follks, Let's list here the incompatible addons/mods for those participating in the Beta. Here are my first findings. 1/ AIG crashes MSFS (Immediate CTD). Temporary solution: remove the 2 AIG folders from Community. 2/ FSR 2.0.3 doesn't work. Temporary solution: disable it, make some noise with your mouth and shake your head up and down when flying until a fix is released. 🙂

By some happenstance I started a flight in the Hondajet from San Juan to St. Thomas today and was like “Cool...this is like a tropical Orcas Island!” (The closest I’ve come to the Caribbean IRL or the sim was when I’d overfly the area on the UA 777 headed down to Sao Paulo or return for work. But I’m now fascinated and wondering what are the “must have” Carribean freeware or payware airports somewhere near San Juan? Or other areas of the Caribbean that are awesome? ( As I overflew it I discovered that the area is actually quite BIG when I somehow thought it was small, similar to how I thought Brazil was “hot” and “jungle” only to show up in July in just a a flee…

Hi, my rudder pedals were previously working fine, but they are now registering NO Brake when the toe brakes are half way pressed. Not pressed is full brake and fully pressed is also full brake. the aircraft only rolls when the toe brakes are pressed half way down. Meaning, I am currently unable to fly. I’ve had this happen before and it seemed to fix itself for no apparent reason. does anyone know a fix for this? (The centre point of the toe brake axis being brakes released ?? thanks

Hello, does anyone else contrails for the PMDG look like this? Hi, I was flying the Fenix A320 from KCLT to KATL. Mid flight I noticed the message 'SWITCHG PNL' in green on the upper ECAM. I could not and have not since been able to understand what this advisory message means and as to what I would need to do for it to disappear. Thanks for any help.

I'm on SU9 and am STILL getting constant/frequent network disconnects. Yes ... I've trawled all the info out there (for months now) and the "official" MS/Asobo help topics/reports are denials or pure BS. So ... I'm wondering if the issue has been tackled in the SU10 beta? I know it's an MS server issue, but I'm hoping Asobo have tweaked some threshold or other to make the sim slightly more resilient to these drop outs.

Good evening to all! Quick question, is anyone having any luck with the FENIX A320 and toolbar pushback? I saw a while ago it was causing problems but to be honest GSX is not here and the inbuild pushback engine is distracting when starting engines. Also is there a dedicated forum for the FENIX? Hi Simmers my problem is, I see different coloured squares in my MSFS. The higher I get, the more different squares I see. Some lighter, some darker. Perhaps they are not loaded correctly? Especially in Gatwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh. For these three airports I have installed add ons. But it also disappear I have also installed MSFS MAP Enhancement but there is no difference if I turn it off. With or without Google, different squares are displayed all the time. Does anyone has same problems or know how to solve it? Thanks a lot

I have flight sim Ed since it first came out but due to moving to a rural area with extremely limited internet I have not moved up to FS2020. I now have internet at 25mps. Is this adequate to run FS2020 with a new computer?Thank you,Ron

It's probably user error but I've run into an issue with Addon Linker. I have several presets covering North America, South America, Europe etc. Also have one called Basic where I have libraries, utiities etc enabled. Problem: I start with all disabled, select and apply Basic preset which has 27 libraries active among other things. I then select South America preset which has zero libraries active. I select apply cumulative which, to me should 1) keep the original active elements and 2) apply the additional active elements from second preset. However, when I do this, my active libraries are reduced to 8 instead of 27 so the effect is not cumulative. The ord…

Does anyone have a good realistic captain camera profile for the Fenix that is realistic but also a little closer so you can see the PFD and ND a little easier? I am using one and feel the view is slightly too far back so it is hard to reach the PFD, ND, and FD's.
