Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I've tried all the injectors and nothing is showing suddenly. They were all working about a week ago. Now I get a message can't connect or waiting for MSFS. Oddly...I get the system real time traffic so I know I have a connection. Anyone know problem?

I would like to choose an EFB application to help me with my VFR flights. I see there are Sky4Sim, Sim-EFB, FSKneeboard, etc. What are you guys using? What are the pros and cons?

I posted this in the hardware forum, but since it is MSFS-specific hopefully it will be allowed here: I am looking to upgrade and am looking at the mid-high range GPUs. I have decided on a 3080 TI or a 6800 XT. They both benchmark about the same in MSFS but the 6800 is about $300 cheaper. Some have actually reported smoother performance in FS with the 6800. So it is the logical choice for value. BUT, DLSS is Nvidia only. I hear mixed reviews on the quality vs. performance benefit of DLSS. Hello, As of late I have been having engine failure for the past week or so for the PMDG 737-800 passenger mod. . The same issue engine #2 Fails. How do I fix this issue?? I have have tried to restart engine 2 but unable to. I have also check failures and are off.......I wonder if it has to do with the latest update PMDG release............Any help or suggestion?? Hello, The problem that I have is when I tune in a VOR, it results in a massive scenery stutter at any altitude, worse within limits of a detailed airport, if I turn it off it, the scenery is smooth again, this is experienced during any flight with the aircraft. So basically cannot use the VOR/ADF. I have removed /re installed, same issue, found that there may be a setting such as NanoVG, no impact. I was looking forward to the Carenado PC12. MSFS has been running well but I think I have accidentally changed a setting. Some of the folders including Community and Official now have a yellow lock symbol in the top right corner and when I try to copy a file from there an error message reads "Your organisation does not allow you to place this file here". I have a screen shot of the locked files but can't find a way to add it here. Does anyone know what has happened and how I can fix it?

Has anybody had any issues with Microsoft flight simulator and a USB device is disconnecting drink flight, and then the simulator locking up and you have to restart. All my yolks and devices are on at USB powered hub.

Can anyone explain to me how to get the PMS GTN 750 into the Black Square Analogue King Air cockpit. I know it can be done, I’ve seen it in YouTube vids and on the PMS GTN 750 compatible aircraft there is a download for it. I’ve tried everything and can’t get it in the King Air. I have the paid GTN 750 by the way, thanks!

In the instructions for these addon clouds, downloaded for free from www.flightsim.to, it says that the program will not "drive" the MSFS weather. Does this mean the Epic Clouds addon will not make any difference to the appearance of the clouds if MSFS Live Weather is on? I looked for an address to send for help from the author but can't seem to find any. Thanks

I use FSUIPC for my power controls: Power, Props, Mixture/Condition Levers. This has been bothering me for awhile, and I've never gotten over it, but I can't figure out how to improve the axis resolution while using FSUIPC. In other words, very very small adjustments are not recognized, and are input as a "step." In FSUIPC I have them sent through "Send DIRECT to FSUIPC for calibration" My current hardware is the PFC throttle quadrant with the Twin turboprop levers. The PFC is connected via USB and is recognized by windows as a joystick. I know it's not my controller because in the PFC software, it registers very tiny movements. Hi. I can't load any flight. After choosing the plane and the departure airport and entering FLY the sim does not load the flight. I did a fresh installation but it still does not work. The community folder is empty and I`m trying to load the default Cessna 208B at a default airport. Thank you for any help! . HB

Several attempts to download & install the World Update XI: Canada have failed. 5.21 GIBs are indicated as partially installed from a total of 6.29 GIBs, with the installation stopping each time at "decompressing microsoft-airport-cyfb-iqualuit-0.9.3fspackage." The download/install just stops there and never proceeds further. I've cancelled the download and retried several times to no avail. On occasions the program crashes-to-desktop and I restart the program in "safe mode" but that makes no difference. This is Steam MSFS. Any suggestions short of a total reload?

Hi all, what is the proper way of installing or removing scenery in MSFS? I have always just placed it in the community folder, then ran MSFS....if I wanted to try a different scenery then I removed the old one and replace the new on into the community folder then ran the sim..OR do I remove the old one, run the sim without the new one first...shut down, then install the new one?

I don't mean I'm addicted, even though I am. I mean for the last month or so, when I try to quit it just hangs on the "are you sure" popup. I end up having to force-close in the task manager. Not a huge deal, but I'd rather it quit normally. Anyone else see this, and have you found what's causing it?

What does holographic shell do and how does this mess with MSFS in VR? Since, turning it off, all my stutters, freezes, CTDs and black screens have disappeared. Just wondering. (ComputerManagement/System Tools/Performance/DataCollector Sets/Even Trace Sessions/HolographicShell)

hi there, does anyone know how to resolve a weird problem i'm having atm? Suddenly my pitch inputs do almost nothing, while the yoke (pmdg 738) in the VC moves correctly with my physical yoke. This also happens with the Fenix a320, full pitch up or down does almost nothing. Roll axis works like normal. In the control settings all looks normal too, with full motions. I didn't change anything in the sim.. -Roland edit: elevator shows normal movements in outside view, it just doesnt do anything.

So, getting AAO to run all my controller hardware through vis-a-vis, axis, button, etc... in reading, I need to create a blank profile for all by controllers I plan to set up with AAO to prevent conflicts with default MSFS settings. Question is, once I create a blank profile in MSFS, will that stay with the controller each time I start MSFS or must I go in and select the blank for all 4 of my controllers each time? Also, what is the best way to wipe all the controller bindings for each of my 4 controllers in MSFS? Sorry, new to MSFS after being on the P3D farm for a number of years.

I don't know what's going on today but I am unable to obtain Online status unless I activate Multiplayer. If I have Multiplayer turned Off (my normal setup) My status is indicated as Offline, is greyed out and the Server is greyed out. Also, I am unable to change the Online status or make a server selection. With Multiplayer on I receive an Online status indication, the East USA server is active and in the green. I guess I'll fly like this for now, though the last thing I need is a neophyte making an approach into my face with a 20 KT tailwind because they were told that is the active runway...

This has been several days of troubleshooting in trying to nail down the source in order to get rid of recurrent hard pauses about every 60 seconds.
