Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello! Regarding the Aerosoft Twin Otter, I'm having some issues with the autopilot. I previously owned the same aircraft for FSX / P3D, and it didn't have the same issues. The problem is it's difficult to engage climb or decent, and when I've already used the ALT hold mode, I can't deselect it. Also, the IAS mode doesn't work at all. The button does nothing. I know there is one autopilot panel straight in front, and one near the radio stacks, and they work together. But neither will work properly. Is there a way to get IAS to work as intended? It seems it happens after I have been working on scenery for 15 to 20 minutes or so. My cpu and gpu temps are not high as the error indicates may be the issue. Hi Simmers. I am new to this forum, but would value your advice. Does anyone know if the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is OK with Saitek Pro Instrument Panels, and also will it be OK for Megascenery? I am based in Australia and the Megascenery packages are much better than others I have seen. Thoughts?

Is it possible to take an old stick and remove all assignments and axis but only keep the twist axis for a steering tiller? I would think it is possible but not sure if the stick axis could be removed. I Have a new stick for aileron and elevator control.

There must be some reason why Asobo will not fix the mirrored textures on the 747/787, why ?, it's a easy fix for them, would make a lot happy. Fix this bug please Asobo.

Can anyone offer some feedback about this product from Taburet that is on the SimMarket site? I'm a little wary after having bought their Norway mesh, which was a complete waste of money. So this is being sold as: The function of this mod is to fix morphing effects visible along coastlines. Coastlines have been reshaped using high res data and adapted to avoid terrain morphing. The mod do not alter terrain mesh other than those along the coastlines. Negligible frame rates impact. Can anyone offer some feedback, thanks fellas.

Yeah...I'm DEAD serious.. virtually die in a crash in such way that once you open the sim the next time it will tell you that you are virtually DEAD as a brick and cannot run the sim any longer you know.... I'm just asking if you aware of such addon 🙄 😁

i was playing OnAir today and i ran out of fuel and crash landed my plane. and all OA did was just reset the flight. remember FSPassengers that would give you a full report on the severity of damage to the aircraft and each individual person on board if they were out x amount of weeks recovering or if they were killed. Very sobering indeed. does anyone know if there is any career program for msfs that would at least not just reset the flight but givedamage to the plane… does airhauler2 do any of this? i think most just reset the flight. i want something more hardcore.

If I uninstall a plane I purchased from Carenado (or any other plane) for troubleshooting purposes using Content Manager, will I be able to reinstall it later? I'm using Steam. Jim

I'm looking for a better thrust lever than the Thrustmaster A320 but don't want to spend $1000 for the super nice ones. Anyone use the honeycomb bravo with the A320 "cover" from Flightsimfactory? What do you think of it if you use it? Currently I use the Hotas Warthog and like the durable feel but want something a little more specific to the A320. I bought the Thrustmaster from TCM and thought it felt too cheap and was hoping there is something a little more realistic / durable. THoughts? I really like the Throttletek model but don't think i want to drop the money and wait for months. Thanks!

I've finally uninstalled everything to do with P3D and going all in on MSFS (don't have time to manage 2 sims). Will install it tomorrow likely. Plan on buying via Steam as the evidence shows that is the most trouble-free way of going vs. the MS Store. Having said that, I hope some will indulge some questions I have to help point me in the right direction. 1. Rolling cache - on or off? What is the best setting? If needed, I have a 9900k, 3090 gpu and 64GB of physical ram. 2. Shader tool recommended, or no? From reading, I see most use GeForce Experience or ReShade. I'm thinking of just going with GeForce Exp. as it is already on my computer if one is needed. …

As a newcomer to the MSFS world, I want to make sure that any service updates, which are not ready for prime time, do not make it into the product so I want to be prepared when installing the product. I will be installing the MS Store version so please provide some guidance with the following: When I download and install the product, at what software level will the product be ? Will it have all of the SUs or is installing SUs done after the initial install. I want to make sure the software level is SU10 and nothing more. In general how is SU installation managed ? Hi everybody,I bought the A 321NEO LVFR in MFS 2020. I adjusted joystick and rudder thorougly in the command system but if the rudder pedals work perfectly inside the cockpit, the tailfin doesn't move at all (it is the first time) I don't understand why because usually they are related. Well, looks like Aerosoft got the new sound recordings for the Twin Otter. If you're a real life pilot with experience in the Twin Otter and you also own the Aerosoft Twin Otter in MSFS, perhaps you may want to help Aerosoft test the new sounds. As per Mathijs Kok's posting: Disclosure: I own the Aerosoft Twin Otter (because there is no other Twin Otter in MSFS), and of course, I would like the sounds to be better.

Now that the various addon authors have had a chance to react to the WU11 launch, there are some workable solutions that make the big cities of Vancouver and Toronto look good again. First thing to do, is to disable the WU11 PG Cities. That can be done in the Content Manager, or by deactivating the fs-base-coverage-map-canada-tin folder. I only fly default planes with my fav being the Asobo A320neo. When I load a saved flight on this plane the autoflight system has forgotten the altitude , the speed, everything. I save during stable cruise flight and the reload spawns me in the same spot but the plane does a nosedive as all the autoflight parameters are forgotten. Cue frantic scrolling of mouse and hotkeys to get everything back to normal. For a flight-oriented game this is terrible, this is on a stock default bog-standard Asobo A320neo. I have zero interest in FBW mod etc. FSX didn't freak out loading saved flights why does this one struggle so much? Will it ever be sorted... …

Hi everyone I've been using FSLTL for a few weeks now with great results and am very happy with it. However, these past few days, I've been having some issues. Traffic is injected normally but: AI Aircraft do not push back - they call for clearance but get no response from ATC (airport vehicle density is set to 5) There are no take-offs or departures Once in the air however, I hear a good deal of traffic talking to ATC Already reinstalled and my settings in FSLTL are set to default values. Any idea on why this started happening? Any help much appreciated. Cheers

Forgive me if this has been posted previously, but I noticed today that when the XBOX app had been updated, there was what seemed like a ridiculously easy way of creating an MSFS desktop shortcut that I hadn't known about. After starting the XBOX app, its windows goes dark until (I'm just guessing here) it updates and reinstalls itself. It then presents its "home" window in which "Microsoft Flight Simulator" should appear in the side bar on the left.
