This is a rather stupid question, where I am actually pretty sure to know the answer. However, since I downloaded a bunch of freeware stuff, I am wondering if I should keep the zip files or if it's enough to just extract them into the community folder and delete the zip. The only reason why there are zipped are to make them downloadable, as far as I know. Can I just delete the zip's without risking anything for the future, kind of as a backup?

Flying approach or departure, regardless of ac, I get terrible sim performance ... maybe 1 fps Its not even a built up area. YBTL Anybody able to ascertain this? Or explain it?

FSXMAP is a great additional program to use with MSFS2020, BUT for some reason it is not working right now . Does anyone know why? Thank you

Guys can you all help as I have low fps after update su12 and Nvidia driver update . Did everything as I would do normally and never had an issue before. Now my fps are at 16 from 30 locked. thanks mike

With official helicopter physics and support in MSFS, I still haven't heard any updates regarding an updated version that will work natively with SU11 and the upcoming SU12?

Hi guys, I fly VFR and use the MSFS 2020 inbuilt ATC system but have noticed couple of issues lately... Firstly I cannot turn it up..it is on maximum in settings and the volume adjustment on my headphones does not work. It is also stuck on the spatial sound even though I don't have it set in settings. The instructions are so quiet I can't hear them (see first one above also) and lastly, if the above is not enough I ask for instructions and instantly get acknowledge clearance/taxi without even receiving them... Is there a good alternative for VFR flying?

After todays update my Thrustmaster T flight Hotas 1 trim setting using the rocker switch on the throttle keeps returning to neutral after setting it during flight. Any suggestions please? Thanks

No, not really. But to get noticed on Youtube you have to exaggerate the video titles. I see this title shouting more and more in my favorite Youtube areas of interest. So I did the same thing here in the forum, LOL.

A resent update made changes to this aircraft, and I'm having trouble using it now. It doesn't seem to pick up the flightplan created on the map screen, is their a way to make it do that? Or do I need to use the NAV screens to enter a destination and approach? If so, how do I do it?

Hi there, We have recently merged a new version of the Terrain on ND. It is mandatory you update SimBridge AND our development/experimental versions. The new version solves some performance issues and we've added general visualization improvements. The latest version of SimBridge is 0.4.0. Happy Flying

Yesterday evening Pilot's released their MSFS version of the Boeing B-314 clipper. I didn't have this for P3D but picked it up for MSFS last night when I saw their facebook release post. Only had a brief look so far but my aim is to have a go at celestial navigation on a San Francisco to Hawaii flight! Think that might be a couple of months off though! Anyone else planning on getting this? I am also interested in their Dash 7 which is going to be the next release.

Just got an error message for the first time ever: "Your bandwidth is too low for data streaming, you have been switched to offline mode". Um...500mpbs using LAN and plenty of bandwidth. This is a first...I've switched servers and reloaded the sim multiple times, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I've never seen this error before. It's rendered MSFS completely useless.

Use to be able to move my mouse and it would move around in the cockpit view, came unbound somehow. Anyone know what to bind the mouse to to get it to move around in cockpit view. I've tried everything and can't figure it out. Thanks guys!

Hi folks. So I am still in the process of figuring out how to configure controllers for helicopters. I am making progress ......... but .......... I have a controller (Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS) that only has one variable axis. However, using for instance the Cabri G2 Heli in MSFS, there is both a collective arm, AND a twist throttle on the collective arm. When I set the controller axis to the collective axis, and move it, the twist throttle on the heli collective moves but the collective arm itself does not move up and down. Do I need another controller so that I have two axis'? Or is there something I am not understanding about how to configure the controller? When…

I love New Zealand. Interesting terrain, and since I like to fly with active weather, and am on Mountain Time, my evening sessions often find me in NZ or Papua New Guinea. So I was very pumped when I saw the opening screen tiles for 'Bespoke Airports', POI, Discovery Flights, Landing Challenges (which featured a savage Cub - one of my favourites)....BUT 3 Discovery Flights 4 landing challenges (with the cub as one) 3 Bush Trips Yet, I cannot find these in the Sim. Is there a disconnect here? The only landing challenge for NZ is landing a citation at Queenstown. Where are the other 3? Do they exist? ADVthanksANCE for anyone who can po…

I love gliders, but have been turned off by my inability to assign speed brakes to the throttle axis of my X52 HOTAS. I have tried various sliders but I never see any air brake action in the sim. Related problem is assigning tow release, and especially ballast dump somewhere. I only fly VR so keyboard shortcuts don't really do it for me. Hope this is solvable, because I truly want to love gliders in this sim!! Appreciate any guidance or feedback on this, thanks!

Tom’s Hardware Article Saw this article and thought it was interesting. especially if you thought you turned it off before, apparently there was an update somewhere along the line that enabled it again. “the PC I use for the GPU benchmarks hierarchy received an update that turned VBS back on. (We have an article on how to disable VBS should you want to).“ “The biggest improvement overall comes in Microsoft Flight Simulator, which makes sense as that game tends to be very CPU limited even with the fastest possible processors. I purchased '2020' on 27 Dec 2020 but gave up shortly after due the number of 'glitches' etc, etc. With the growing popularity of '2020' I have now reinstalled the Sim, very impressed with the overall scenery and (now) functionality. Through FS2000 - FSX and (currently) P3D5 I have become accustomed to my home cockpit set-up which for '2020' now raises a big question: Are multi-screens available within '2020'? I seem to be having an issue with the battery draining during flight. Even after I charge it prior to takeoff, the volts light comes on fairly quickly. Am I missing something? I complete the checklist prior to takeoff but still seems to happen. *** Fixed, user error as suspected ***

Picked up the steam gauge Bonanza, and figure it's time to learn IFR and start doing those globe trotter flights I've wanted to do for a while. Thing is, it's got a lot of options, and I figure I should probably start with a configuration and stick with it. My prior background is WWI/WWII combat sims, so while I've got pretty solid stick and rubber skill, and a decent grasp of pilotage, my experience with GPS and even radio nav is basically nill. From what I see, the radio options are com 1 can be either a GTN 750, a GNS 530 or a KX155 radio, while com 2 can have either a GNS 430 or another KX155 I'm curious about the pure radio nav system, but from what …

I have now almost no more room on my C: drive. When I open the PROFILE selection, then select then CONTENT MANAGER there is a lot to chose from. For example Canada can be selected and installed. But I don't want it to install on my C: drive. I don't see how to direct it to install on my D: drive. Is this possible to do? If so how can I do this? Thanks, Jim Brady

In the last days I have reconfigured my MSFS settings to get the highest fps in combination with good visuals. I am sung the laatste SU12 beta. When testing I always take off with my 738 at Amsterdam Schiphol and make a 1h flight at 3500 ft at 230 kias. Half of the flight I use Vsync On/60 hertz/50% (=30 fps). My route is the same : Amsterdam - Rotterdam - The Hague - Amsterdam - Rotterdam - The Hague -.Amsterdam etc. I fly with Real weather and with Scattered clouds. Yesterday I remarked that when turning right over The Hague for the towards Amsterdam my fps dropped with 35-40% ! The main thread load went from 18 up to 37 in both Vsync On mode and in Unlim…

After the recent update, I now get multiple flight paths on the MFD: There is the normal flight plan (magenta, etc.), but now there is also a second direct flight route indicated on every flight. Is this a realistic Garmin inclusion or is this an issue with the MSFS flight planning system?
