While updating P3D v6 to the latest version I noticed that my CPU (7800X3D) goes to 87°C. Why does it get so hot? I have an EK Nucleus 360 AIO and don't think my cooling it's to blame.

Guys, I think v6 is quite optimized because even with a default install and pushing the pushy sliders full right I have more or less acceptable performance, but simmers have this optimization stress that keeps making them wonder how to get even smoother rides, so, as I had previously had v5 installed and followed some well known optimization receipts I tried the same with v6 but... : 1) When I disable FPS limiting ( Unlimited ) and set VSync to OFF in the P3dv6 Graphics options, and set Adaptive VSync and/ or FPS limits using NCP, in the sim using SHIFT-Z to monitor FPS I see it varying wildly, sometimes way above 30 fps (my monitor is 60 KHz) ? 2) If I ena…

This morning when I started P3D V6 I got prompted to update and more importantly I have to option to accept or decline the update. I accepted the update and it worked very well, took about 9 minutes. Everything I had installed still working well (Orbx airports, True Earth, MJC, FlyTampa, etc.), no issues with the update, very impressed! Fixed issue preventing C-130 variants from loading. Fixed issue causing distance remaining sign text to be off center. Additional airport surface updates. Added retry connection option to personal license disconnected pop up screen. Hi, Has anyone been successful in getting FSHud to inject AIG traffic into P3D? All seems silent, once I turn off the traffic from the sim menu all traffic vanishes and nothing is being injected throughout the whole flight. I also have the traffic setting set to AIG only in the FSHud panel. I want it to be injected and controlled obviously by FSHud. I’ve also posted in the FSHud forum but got no response. Thanks!

We are still here with bugs. Yes, the gauges are lit up. But the cockpit is still pitch black. I am NOT asking for P3D to be MSFS, but I am wondering how LM is accepting these deficiencies in a VANILLA version with VANILLA aircraft. How is this acceptable?

Hi I am unable to get past the action required screen in LINDA after a new PC build and installing Linda 3.1.1 for Prepar3d V4.5. Linda settings screen says fsuipc files not found. I have inserted the [VRInsight] 1=COM3 line into the fsuipc.ini file. VRI sim software tells me that the com port is 3. In the ini file it list VRI Port 1 "COM3" failed to open. I have the "registry fix" with a fake v5 install. It worked beautifully with the PMDG 777, but whenever I run any of the A2A installers for v5 it says it can't find a valid V5 install 😞 I've decided to stick to V6 and use my sim budget in ir, só, I don't really want to buy p3dv5 to be able to fly the A2As... Suggestions / hints really welcome 😁

Just noticed the other day that I have no road traffic in V6 and have spent the last 2 days trying to repair it. Now, I'm not 100% sure that I ever had road traffic in V6 but now that I know I don't, it bothers me. 😄 I have tried all the usual 'fixes', rebuilding all the xml's and cfg's, using repair option with the V6 installer, checking the various bgl's etc., but all to no avail. BTW., my V5.4 had all the road traffic I want.......... Don't really want to go neuclear and do a full unistall/install, so any advice gratefully accepted, cheers. Also, anyone else noticed that V6 seems a lot heavier on resorces with a resulting drop in FPS ?

Hello to all of you, Lately I've been thinking about all the knowledge and experience there is in our community and if it's possible to combine those strengths in making great stuff for P3D. For example: there are people here who have great skills in using ADE. Other people are proficient in photoscenery. And then also people who have experience with modelconverterx and so on. And then there also people who have experience in making 3D models. So I think a lot of knowledge and experience here in this forum. There is one livery in the Mahn C-47 program that I wanted to change the prop tips from no color to yellow. One of the other liveries has the prop with yellow tips so I copied that prop.dds file over to the one with the no color prop tips and did not make any difference. The color of the original prop remained the same. I even deleted the original one and then copied the one with the yellow tips to the livery with the plain (no color) prop tips. I thought that once I made the swap that P3DV5.4 would read the changes - it didn't so what is the solution to this? The tittle says it all :-= The DC-3 / C-47 are among my preferred aircraft ever, and I have used variations in FSX, XP and even MFS, but I wonder if this one is "the one" togofor in P3D, and if is v6-ready? Tonight I installed Wingsim's Simon Bolivar scenery in P3D v5.4 and I have two red X's in the scenery. One X is over the parking spot for the first jetway (the one near the control tower) and the other X is just to the right of the terminal over one of the remote parking spots. I have SODE installed and it is activated (I ran the SODE exe file that came with the scenery) and I have GSX installed and activated too. Any idea why I have the red X's??

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me with my sim crashing? It's always done it but was more of an annoyance, but I'm currently flying circuits and can't even get a single circuit flown without it crashing. This is P3D 5.4.9.28482 Simconnect and Aerosoft A330 Pro. I honestly don't know the first thing about Windows machines nor these flight sims, and just use all this for work. A Google search tells me to check the Windows event log, and that seems to suggest XAudio2_4.dll is unloaded. I'm going to assume that something is calling for that driver and when not found it crashes. That's about as far as I've got and I have no idea what I can do to fix that prob…

I like to keep as much of the aircraft files in the addon directory with so many files under gauges and effects etc, I like to keep things tidy. Having said that, Milviz aka Blackbeard will usually install a orange colored management system for each aircraft or consolidate multiple Milviz aircraft under one configuration management system, I have installed one of their aircraft in my addons directory in P3D V5.4 but lost continuity the configuration management system. It doesn't show: normally, the SHIFT+2 screen will show and I can move chocks or show a start cart. Now that option is a black screen. I'd like to know how to make the missing milviz aircr…

I know that the Arctic tree line is moving 40 to 50 meters a year because of warming; but goodness gracious, Canadian Forces Station Alert on the northern tip of Ellesmere Island in the high Arctic doesn't have any vegetation. Why then does P3D V5 have trees growing there. Maybe Lockheed people need to go to the US Base at Thule, Greenland, which is 440 miles south of Alert, to see that there are no trees there either. Enough of my rant,does anyone know of a way to rid P3DV5 of trees north of the Arctic tree line. Jim

In one of the videos of a full flight in the 777 I noticed that there was an EFB available, but the 777 200 LR base I own for P3D and have now installed in v6 doesn't have it available ? Is it only added when one buys one of the modern 737s with EFB ?

Hey, y'all everybody (Lost reference, just kill me!)... Now that v6 has VERY limited backwards compatibility with old 3rd party stuff, perhaps v7 is the way to go with a whole new engine. I am ALMOST happy with v6. Outside is pretty. With today's patch 4, gauges on default AC are visible at all times of the day. Cockpit is still pitch black, but I have a feeling they will work on that next. So, not knowing how that suits their core base of Pro and Military, perhaps this is the clean break we all needed anyway. I am not doing anything old - no Orbx with no PBR, no scenery. Hi all, I always have Memory Crash in PILOTs LEST Santiago de Compostela. Always. Is the only scenery that I have this issue. Is it possible to reduce the texture quality of the compleate scenery? I remember in FS9 there was a program to reduce the texture quality of a folder. Thanks all

I have P3DV5.4 installed. UTX works great. I have tried to install GEX world version with no luck. Impossible to post on Flight1 forums, it doesn't recognize my account details. During the install after downloading, I get a corrupt file warning and the installer stops. I also get a "invalid start mode" and the installer stops. Any help would be appreciated. Bob G.

I have the Majestic Dash Q400 pilot edition in P3D5.4. I have found two tutorials for it. One called sample flight and one Simulated Delivery and Advanced Tutorial Flight CYZD – KEWR. My problem is with programming the FMS. Waypoints and airways don't exist to be selected in the FMS. One example in the sample flight I should enter a waypoint called OO but there are none in the vicinity of where I fly. In the second advanced tutorial I am supposed to select an airway called V252 going from YYZ and according to the tutorial there should be a list of airways to choose from. But for me the FMS states there are none going from YYZ. First I started a subscription of Navigra…
