Ini A330 jetway L1
So wanted to drop a quick note here that today I was flying the Inibuilds A330-300 and in fact i managed to dock the jetway to L1 (this was at BKPR) . The only thing is I do not have GSX installed yet or any GSX profile for this scenery.

How to get kicked off a United flight in the future?
Yep! Totally agree with ya. Speaker phone function on smartphones should be deactivated when you are in a confined space with other people. You might as well be speaking through a megaphone (loudhailer)! Not to mention and I am surprised about this, its typically business people that seem to be one of the worst offenders as they disclose their upcoming business deals in public..... i.e. in planes, hotel lounges and airport waiting areas. And one more example, sitting in a minibus my wife and I were on recently as part of a recent vacation, there was a retired couple sitting 3 rows behind us having an active conversation via videophone and having a "sing-a-long" as it was someone's birthday. The conversation and "remote party" for all to hear and some to see, lasted for about 20mins to the annoyance of most people on the bus who were i can imagine very much unwilling participants. Only two words came to mind .... "SHUT UP!" 😡. Some people seem to be completely oblivious to their surroundings!!

GSX Updates
Thx for the update Peter. Wow more updates! Glad to see Umberto is on a roll with those updates and fixes. I need to install GSX once more this time for MFS2024. I had basically given it a break as I was a bit disillusioned with the problems that beset GSX when i was using it with P3D but I am glad Umberto has the motivation to keep improving GSX. The updates and fixes are most welcome! 👍 I think GSX will break the record for the longest Change Log when all version histories are combined over the years. 😎 Keep up the good work Umberto! 👏

How to get kicked off a United flight in the future?
So I just came back to this topic and wow! I have been reading through all the comments. Now that we have managed to cover the parenting topic in good detail 😂, does anybody have any comments on what United are imposing? I wonder if other airlines will actually follow suit and apply similar measures to ameliorate those annoying disturbances in the tubeliners we fly in these days. I think one important aspect here to consider is, when those disturbances do occur in the cabin, its not like you can go someplace else until the landing gear has made contact with mother earth once more.😊

Next big tech in flight sim
Ah yes! the next been hype after AI. Good to know that if you are looking for a new job, becoming a splat developer is definitely the way to go! 😜

Sim Update 5 Beta - 1.7.17.0
Just an FYI for @SeedyL , @Overlord (good suggestion!) in a recent Avsim forum post suggested this alternative for posting images that can be viewed from the UK. https://postimages.org/

'Study Level' Air Conditioning
Funny you should mention that! I actually tried a similar experiment 2 weeks ago with the Inibuilds /MSFS default A330 parked at a gate with an external OAT of 10C and activated the APU to let the bleed air warm up the cabin to 22C, which it did do across the various zones simulated by the various Inlet duct valve temps rising and the trim air valves opening and closing to regulate the flow. I then opened up the cabin doors to see if there was a noticeable drop in temp. Unfortunately not. The only way the cabin cooled was if the bleed air was turned off completely, then the cabin temp started decreasing, slowly but surely, over several minutes. I also tried to determine if it was possible to have the Ground Power service provide "local" air to the cabin, but as it turns out it looks like this is not modelled for the A330. So for the A330, some of the air con systems and effects are modelled in a basic MSFS2024 aircraft, but not all the permutations of external environment factors that can impact the aircraft. I guess its up to each developer to determine how much "reality" they want to build into their aircraft to make it studiable.

How to get kicked off a United flight in the future?
I thought this announcement was interesting. For one, I support this move by United. I hope other airlines follow suit. https://www.gatechecked.com/united-airlines-crackdown-headphone-audio-video-calls-11491?ref=flightaware

L-1011 TriStar Systems Issues vs Delta POH – Not Study-Level
I think in fairness to Inibuilds, they did not claim for this sim to be a study sim capable of replicating all procedural aspects of flying the Tristar unless I missed something in their promotional materials. Their marketing of the product certainly promotes a lot of system functionality being present, but to me this does not claim something it isnt or doesnt do. If the feedback is going to be used by Inibuilds , then I thank @Joshua757 for taking the time to list the discrepancies he discovered and having those fixed which will benefit many simmers. 👍 As for the claim that Inibulids is unethical as quoted by @Aglos77 in the post above, I think this steps beyond what I think is fair. Sure, its OK to be frustrated with a product that has bugs, but I dont believe their practices are dishonest or immoral or unprofessional. You could say their product may have been rushed to market perhaps prematurely however it doesn't rise to the level of being unethical in my opinion. Lets be thankful that we have a product of this quality in MSFS2024 for one of the historic 70's airliners. Its been a long time coming. As with other Inibuilds products ,they are actively working on providing updates to a number of their products, so I am sure there will some attention paid to improving the quality and fly-ability of the Tristar even further. I do look forward to purchasing this product directly from Inibuilds in the coming months as I will not purchase from the MS Marketplace. Keep the reviews coming. 😀 Happy landings!

New aircraft sim effects addon to be released (GFX Airliner)
Hi, I have just read a new sim effects addon will release in April for MSFS2020 & MSFS2024 . More info here: https://tritrisim.com/news/marking-the-calendar-the-gfx-release-date-development-update Not clear at this moment which 12 aircraft families are going to be supported. The video shows the T7, B737, A320 classic, A340, MD-11. The animations do look very realistic except the engine condensation effect does not look quite right to me. Usually from what I have observed, there is usually a trail of condensation especially from wet runways that is drawn up into the engine via a small vortex from the runway (quite noticeable with the T7 for instance) that is clearly visible, but this is not shown in the animation, only in the engine cavity. Would be interested to hear what you think of these new animations/effects and whether this is potentially a worthwhile addition? Cheers,

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
Well based on the reviews , I think I will pick this up and hope that some updates come through. What's also attractive right now is the product has a 12% sale on according to Contrail so here in Germany its €69.99 incl sales tax.

Simple ground services addon? (not GSX)
I am also using the manual pushback option as I find this another simulation experience in attempting to line the aircraft up correctly on pushback simulating what the tug driver must do. What I also like about the manual pushback mode is you can control precisely the direction and speed and also simulate a pull forward manoeuvre as well. I too just could not master the clunky UI for the pre-planned pushback so resorted to the manual pb mode instead. Works very consistently I have found. Of course the nuance for MSFS2024 is, there is no tug visible but that is a minor frustration. I just position the external viewpoint so I am directly in front of the nose gear which would be the typical view a tug driver would have.
