I've been wanting to buy FlyTampa's Las Vegas and St Maarten for some time now but I've never seen them go on discount. Anyone know if they ever have discounts, maybe on Black Friday?

I've been wanting the PMDG DC-6 for a very long time but I'm really getting tired of waiting for them to update it for P3Dv5 (I have v5.4). I've done some searches on the web and found mixed results regarding P3Dv5 installation. Some say it works, some say it doesn't and I can't find if there are specific instructions on how to make it work in P3Dv5. I would greatly appreciate any advice before I blow $70 on it, thank you.

I recently purchased TrackHat after the very good review in PC Pilot. But I cannot get it to work if ChasePlane is running. I am not willing to stop using ChasePlane. I have P3Dv4.5 Is anyone else using TrackHat ? Can you help me . Thanks

Trying to further optimize my "Spectacular" p3dv5.4 install, now with Orbx Global + Vector + LC Europe, smooth but still, at times, making my Ryzen 5600x with SMT Off cores rise to 80ºC, I tried setting AA in game to None, or 2 x MSAA and then use NCP to "Enhance" or to "Override" these settings. .) It appears to me that "Enhance Mode" allows for a slightly better / smoother display, although not extraordinary, but... .) Override appears to do nothing / NADA! to the AA, even when I set the AA and Supersampling in NCP to their top settings 😕 So, is NCP "Override Mode" useless for P3D? Why? Can anyone shed light why as soon as I shut down the overhead fuel cocks to implement a C&D scenario, Aerosoft's Twin Otter Extended goes belly up and causes a CTD?

P3D V5 running Aerosoft A330 Pro. The app is constantly crashing with event viewer indicating XAudio2_4.dll unloaded. This is a persistent problem that I'm consistently having with this setup. Last time I found the Sound button was unchecked, even though the sound was working. I checked the box and it's been working since, but periodically I go through this whole frustrating process again. It renders the application completely useless and is merely an exercise in frustration to have it crash every 5 minutes. Hi Guys, There was a topic awhile ago about the thoughts on this addon and with the "other guy" gone MIA the past few months I thought I would finally bite the bullet. For those still wondering about this addon, it is well worth it imo. The photos on their site do not do this add on justice whatsoever. With all road lights enabled, it is stunning and in fact I find myself doing more night time than daytime flying. I do not find there is any hit on the FPS. Happy Flying, Sean

I just moved over from FSX to P3Dv5 and portet some of my fsx strobe effects overBut I cannot seem to get them to reflect on the ground at allI know it must work because I have some nav lights that are reflecting just perfectlyBut what parameters do I need to tweak to get them to reflect?

Using Active Sky, ASCA, EA and Nvidia 537.42. Used to get great lightning depictions. In most recent flight, when on ground I had couple of normal lightning reflections and actual arcs but after takeoff all I got were the boxes. Did search on P3D forum but couldn't find anything, although I remember reading about this somewhere quite a while back. I suppose I should load up the previous driver. In middle of flight right now. AIG provide traffic at origin airport and during whole flight, but at destination airport is empty even i land in place where i should have plenty of planes on the ground. I use also AI Companion, but i think it is not a source of described issue. AIG Manager and flightplans are fully updated to latest revisions. Anyone have same issue, or have solution ? Sim - P3D5.4

I have a triple screen 180° FOV troika setup with three large 4K UHD displays in a home cockpit arrangement. After upgrading from 5.3 to 5.4, I've noticed that I'm only able to click on interactive cockpit instruments on one screen. This isn't a big problem as I normally fly in cockpit view mode with the aircraft model turned off, but when I do need to turn some switches on or off in the cockpit, I have to slew the view over to the screen that recognizes the mouse cursor and it's annoying. I subscribe to the Navigraph Nav data for P3D V5 and A330 Pro. Each time I start P3D it defaults to the original database build, and I need to change databases. That's not a big deal if I'm doing a full pre-flight, as this is part of the pre-flight check. Often I'll want to just quickly re-boot and IP to a location (I use this app for work), and it's annoying/inconvenient to have to swap databases as, just like the real aircraft, it will drop the loaded flight plan. Is there a way to either make the latest database the default, or at least manually select that file to be the default database and then when the new database I can just make that change for each nav cycl…

I have never had any problems until now. All of the sudden I am running into invisible walls on several taxi ways and every FSDT airport (KCLT, KMEM, KORD, ETC). I have a video that I can send if needed (this forum will not take the big file). I also had this problem with KMEM, I turned OFF the Terrain_base.BGL file that fixed the same problem with KMEM. Please provide any assistance. I was thinking about to purchase ORBX African Ladclass but am hesitating because of the airports. Are there any HQ African airports? I don't expect latest FlyTampa or FlightBeam level of accuracy but something like Drzw.Design (never know how to spell). Do you have some suggestions?

Hi, I noticed a problem yesterday. I did KORD-KJFK. In KORD I had about 30-45 FPS and GPU power of about 300-320 watts. As soon as I'm in the air, the GPU power goes down to 160 watts and it stays that way... Even if there are a lot of clouds it stays at 160 watts. Of course I also have a low FPS, often 25 FPS in the air. Then when I landed in KJFK I still had 160 watts... and had up to 10 FPS and very jerky... After landing, I finished P3D and loaded KJFK again and lo and behold again 300 to 320 watts and have 30-40 FPS... My question is, why does the GPU power stay low? why doesn't KJFK go up before landing? As I said, if I load KJFK…

Hey everyone. I have been getting this random noise that happens when I apply differential or regular braking in my aircraft while on the ground. It almost sounds like brake squealing. I am using Saitek/Logitech Pro Rudder Pedals. The noise doesn't always happen which is really weird. Maybe someone else has encountered this and know what's happening? I recorded my landing at KSLC and happened to have an instance of this "noise" occurring. Make sure to turn up the volume to hear it.

Hi, I can get a VRInsight CDU III panel very cheaply. I wanted to ask you if it's still worth it? Because as I have read, it has been on the market for a long time and is no longer supported? I wanted it for PMDG 777 (all models) and 747 and maybe 737. But the description says PMDG 777-200LR or PMDG 737NG Does it mean that I can't use it for 777F or 747? It still costs over 600 euros from Aerosoft and I can get it for 200 euros, but the price made me a little suspicious because I think it's cheap.. Because maybe it's not supported anymore.

A few months ago I got a new hard drive and I have been slowly adding my scenery to P3D v5.4. Now whenever I start P3D it says that I have FSDT Honolulu and Hawaii airports installed and if I would like to activate them. The thing is I don't have them installed yet (on the new drive). So there still must be folders for those scenery somewhere on the C drive, but I can't find anything. Where would those folders be?

Last night I had the most surprising event happening with my P3dv5.4 install... After having used it extensively the night before, with a vey enjoyable takeoff performance test with the FSLabs A320, last night I turned the PC on, Win 11 was up & fine... Then I started P3D the usual progress bar appeared for a while, then a pitch dark screen and NADA ! Repeated a few times, rebooted . NADA ! Tried with P3dv6, just in case... All fine...
