I've seen the promo video of this product at the P3D website. Looks very, very good, although there is a little morphing. My flightsim world is for the biggest part built around the products from ORBX (LC, TE and regions). All those orbx products have a 5 meter mesh. So I ask myself what is the benefit of using the global mesh ultimate product. Don't understand so good how it works, when the base is a 5 meter mesh.

How are the Captain Sim 757, 767, L-1011 offers for P3D v5 in you opinion ? I was browsing their Products page and they do look nice and show some interesting features being modelled, but I would like to hear from users with hands-on experience... Ah! also, do you have a positive experience using any of these with P3d v6 ? Thx!

I would be grateful for any comments / suggestions regarding the following "plan" 🙂 Introduction: I bought P3Dv6 and have been using a fake v5 install to make A2As, PMDG 777, ORBX Global, Libraries and freebies as well as MKStudios LPPR and LPPT and Aerosoft Madeira work. Objective: I can't live without my FSLabs A319 and 20, and their upgrade into the corresponding EFB-equipped models and the 321, so, I really have to go for P3Dv5.4 until native installers are made available... Plan: There could probably be multiple solutions that would save me from uninstalling all of the stuff and remaking the Registry tricks and soft links under ProgramData, but …

Can I confirm Aerosoft A333 Professional with P3D v5 doesn't support any form of failures? I use this as a study tool. I've tried manually shutting an engine down and it doesn't seem to model that scenario at all. However there seems to be a huge number of add-ons available, and I make great use of FSiPanel for example, which one of the forum members very kindly made me aware of. I wondered if there may be something similar to simulate a bad day at the office?

Hi all, Does anyone knows a LECO (A Coruña,Spain) scenery for P3D5? TDM Scenery Design started with the creation, but they only release the MSFS version. Looking forward long time ago for this scenery! Thanks All!

And the job ASP3dV6 does, bringing back really interesting weather situs that I want to experiment in the sim. This is indeed a remarkable feature I was deeply missing during my hiatus into other platforms, but now that I'm back to where I should never have diverted, it's good to enjoy it again. Active Sky does it in a consistent way, and having access to historic data (METAR, TAF, GRIB ...) from official sources it's nice to check that it's done with attention to detail and accuracy! Back to "business" 🙂

I have finally found a fix for the taxi lights for the PMDG aircraft by modifying the respective taxi light fx files to Intensity Day=10000000.00 Intensity Night=10000.00 See this helpful thread https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=267870#p267870

So, I'm really positively impressed with the looks the of default scenery in v6, but I own Orbx Global Range, since ever, my only ORBX product (so far...) and I don't want to mess with the fake install and rather wait for an official v6 installer BUT! I wonder if Global really makes a difference? Iam seriously considering ORBX LC Europe at least and for a start with my ORBX purchases for v6, but does Global really make a difference worth the install in v6?

So... I'm back to P3D after about a year on MSFS. Taking a break and exploring new stuff release like the ifly 737 Max. The plane is great but the sound pack that comes with it is not so good (especially the external sounds). Does anyone have a recommndation for a sound pack like TSS or immersive audio? I saw on simmarket a couple like Skysonic and Adhoc simulations but none have preview videos of the sounds.. Doesn't make sense... Also, I've noticed button animations in the VC are not smooth (maybe I'm comparing to PMDG). I could not find anything reported in the ifly forum so maybe it's just me. Aside from that great plane! Appreciate any feedback

Additional effect and lighting updates to the included third-party aircraft. Increased virtual cockpit dynamic light intensities. Increased flashlight daytime brightness. PDK dynamic lights updated to use emissive interpolant. Resolve an issue where Autogen Config Editor would throw exceptions when loading files. So... I came back to P3D v5.3 from MSFS and now starting to regret the move... 😁 I don't remember having frequent terrain.dll crashes in the past and now I start getting them specifically around Texas (Houston). Are there any new insights around this error? I've looked into the Avsim CTD guide and saw it may be related to autogen but I haven't changed those settings and even upgraded my GPU 1080Ti -> 3080Ti since leaving P3D. I've ran a chkdsk and nothing came up, I've also ran sfc /scannow and got an indication that some corrupted files were fixed but not sure that will fix the issue. On thing I did notice is now that I have new Razer v2 headphones…

I am in the fence between the PMDG 737 NGXu and the Majestic Q-400. I heard the MJ Q-400 has it's installer v6-ready, but there are some quirks with the aircraft in P3dv6. OTOH I I have read a few users saying that the 737 NGXu works flawlessly in v6 ? .) Can any of you running the MJ Q-400 report if there are any errors / problems or if is usable in v6 ? .) Same about the PMDG NGXu Thanks!

Broken flap, fouled plugs, I really must review and maintain my aircraft prior to flight 😉 But then again I would miss these occurances and the effort it takes to get the aircraft on the ground successfully in the event of a systems failure. Managed to successfully land by flipping the flap switch up and down to help keep control in combo with a lot of rudder and aileron input. Cheers Shortly before the aircraft became really difficult to control, at this stage I suspected something had broken as the aircraft was needing a lot of aileron input to keep level. Once on the ground I could see the reason.

Hi All... I having a real time trying to figure out why I get sound from ATC at default airoprts....but not at ANY (except KASE Aspen) of my pay airports ??? I get all the other sounds...engine start and stop;wheels up;flaps sounds;wind sounds...but no ATC (just at my pay airports. All 23 of them were added using the .xml method using the Lorby organizer. I'm pulling out what little hair I have left at 79 !!! I've read most of the posts here and on P3d Forum...but no real solutions except for maybe total re-install or Clien/Content replacement. But why should ATC work on some airports...but not all ?? Thanks for any help …

I would like to hear your experience in the selection and use of these two types of satellite apps that can inject their own ATC and AI into the version of P3D you use, although I am particularly interested in P3D v6...

I have Prepar3dv6.4 and plan to go to 6.5 soon. I am doing some terrain design and am trying to to line up the landclass numbers with their associated bitmap files so I can override them in my own scenery texture directory. It appears that somewhere there is a remap going on between terrain.cfg and the files in \scenery\world\texture. In theory landclass nnn should use nnnxxxxx.bmp files in scenery\world\texture but it appears that different numbers are being used and and there are landclass values such as 42 and 44 which have no corresponding bitmap files. Any idea where the remap is happening?

Hi all Its a long shot, but ive scoured the internet to no avail... I wondered if anyone has a genX performance profile for the 787-9 specifically? I want to flight plan using pfpx I have simbrief, but it isnt detailed enough, ive returned back to PFPX for advanced flight planning. Thank you!

Hey there, probably anybody already had a same issue. In LICJ I see the default taxi way signs above the ground. I already checked ORBX and the scenery layering, everything looks okay to me. Does anybody have an idea what can cause this? Seems like, the secnery is not "overwriting" the default one :( I am on P3D 5.2 HF1 Cheers Bernd

Since moving from 5.3 to 5.4 my gtn750 no longer works. Is it no longer supported for 5.4? Perhaps i am missing something obvious. Or is there a new version required to be purchased? Thanks.

How is it possible qw 757 for p3d v4 works in v6 without registry changes? Is there more aircraft who work perfect in v6?
