This is a repost but only because folks may not visit the controllers forum below often and I'm hoping anyone has any ideas. I will need to visit the Saitek forums as well. I'm stumped. I bought it, and experienced this first thing. So I tried connecting it to a different PC--same outcome. So I ordered a replacement--same outcome. So apparently I'm doing something wrong as I don't find comment about this anywhere in my web search. I chose not to install the Smart Technology software (I think it's called) as I've seen some comments that no drivers are required. I am running p3d v4.5 with Windows 7 64bit. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to get Vatsim’s vpilot to work with my setup. Has anyone been able to run vpilot with a similar set up like mine, I sure would appreciate any help. Thanks, Gerry

I did enjoy my first iFly 738 MAX test flight ! Didn't have much time to familiarize with the MAX subtleties, and the EFB and loading / fuelling interface is different from both PMDG and FSLabs (although it reminds me of some old addons I used in FSX times and were some of my TOP addons). The "feel of flight" felt OK to me, the flight was a fairly straightforward LPPR-LPPT and weather was ok with light winds @LPPT, so I couldn't test the way this 737 reacts to windy / gusty situs, but it felt very good overall ! Hi, My 14 year old PC is due for replacement. On the new sytem, i want to run prepar3d V6 and Qualitywing’s B787 in VR. I have zero experience with VR, but i do have experience on the real B787. I’m thinking about buying an intel I7 PC with 32 Gb RAM, 1 Tb SSD, RTX 4070 graphics card and a Meta Quest 3 headset. Is this going to work? In particular: will the inside out handtracking of the Quest 3 work well enough? Will it still work when the Quest is connected (“thethered”) to the PC? Does anybody out there have a similar setup? Are there better ways to go about it, within reasonable budgettary limits of course?

Does anyone use Self Loading Cargo in p3d? I have not been able to find a list of compatible aircraft like they have for msfs and xp on the SLC website. Curious if SLC works in P3d as it does in msfs, and what planes are fully compatible with SLC (doors, seatbelts, etc) in P3d. Thanks

Hi all, I recently just made the move from FSX to P3D (finally) !!! my system isn’t the greatest but everything seems to be working okay vs FSX. Bit of a strange request but does anyone know if the MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES etc work within P3D same as FSX? I want some autogen but not as much as with the sparse setting as it kills my frames. Any ideas welcome 🙂

Does anyone know what's occurring with the official LM P3D support forum? It's been completely offline for almost a week now. I know this question should better be directed there. But, again, it's offline and inaccessible (at least on my system).

Has anyone found a way to have the Saitek/Logitech Radio and switch panel working with V5 or is this just a waiting game for the drivers?

Is it recommended to install Prepar3D_v5_SDK_Setup_5.4.9.28482.msi if I plan to only update my P3Dv5.3 to V5.4 - client and not content or scenery? If yes, then should the v5.3 sdk be uninstalled first? I would have posted on P3D forum, but, as I'm sure you are aware, it's been down hard for 2-3 days, now. Thanks!

Really loving v5 since I got it installed and got most of the bugs worked out. One thing I was used to when I was using FSX/FSX-SE was the ISG (Integrated Simavionics) Smith's FMS but apparently I can't get it to work in Prepar3d. Has anyone gotten it to work in v5?

Acostumed to one I used quite often in X-Plane 10 - Better Pushback . I'm aware of the SHIFT-P + 1 / 2 keys, but, any good / simple freeware alternatives that work with P3Dv5.2 HF2 are welcome !

Went into ORBX CENTRAL today and saw ORBX Global Buildings HD as a download. I downloaded it and I love it. Is this something new or what? Never saw it before. It makes all default buildings and structures look so much better.

Hello, Since the latest WIn11 update I have the feeling that many of my P3D V6 file have been moved to the One Drive and when I start P3d I have to wait that these file are up loaded again ... How to avoid this? Thanks in advance

Hello, I made a topic about the same issue for quite some time ago, suggested fixes didn't solve the problem. Haven't been using the sim since then, since it's practicly unusable with the low FPS. Trying again in case someone has been experiencing this lately, or in case there are any new ideas. My FPS during cold and dark, in any study-level aircraft, such as the NGXu, at a performance-demanding airport is averaging 40FPS. The scenario is as follows: Im in cold and dark. I start up the plane according to company SOP, as soon as the engine becomes "Avail" the FPS drops immediatly from 40 to 14-16FPS. Didn't ahve this problem before, it just appeared. By engine becom…

I think I know where it is in P3dv5.4, but would appreciate a definitive answer. I'm trying to comment out the line in the A2A cockpit config which prevents sound in the first cockpit view. This was easy in 4.5 and windows 7 using notepad. But in windows 10 I can't get notepad to open as it's no longer supported by Microsoft. So even when I get to the config file, what program could I use to open it and change the config?

I have just purchased MKJP for P3dv5 from Simmarket. I went through the installation as per the instructions in the readme, however when the scenery loads up, there appears to be another layer over the top. Screenshots below. Hi, I'm looking for a camera for P3Dv5.4 to get a view similar to X Planes key C and up/down, left and right arrows. Basically I would like to view outside the aircraft and zoom up and down enjoying the scenic views. Thanks.
