Although I have been very happy with the overall smoothness of P3dv5.4, I truly believe that this one adjustment helps the sim fly even smoother. I'm referring to the Dynamic Texture Streaming toggle in the sim's settings. I used to keep it on because it was supposed to help with VRAM usage. However, I found that toggling it OFF really improved the smoothness of the sim, and transitioning between views during flight is even more brisk and without pause. I know that activating it is supposed to dynamically optimize texture sizes to reduce VRAM usage, and disabling it is supposed to increase performance at the cost of VRAM usage. Hi, Following troubles I could not solve, I've just done a clean uninstall/reinstall of P3D v5.4. I'm now back in P3D and all seemed fine until this ''End Scenario'' popup keeps appearing every few minutes. I've never seen it before, and don't know how to stop it. It makes the sim impossible to use. Can anyone suggest a solution? Yours Hopefully, Jim

Hello I made a blunder with my Honeycomb Throttle Bravo when trying to assign buttons for the AP. I'm looking in the list of functions in P3D how to assign the selection knob for setting altitude, ascentional speed, nav, ias and heading, rotary knob on the left on the bravo and how to adjust the button that allows you to increment and reduce the display on the right. Can you tell me what the function is in the drop-down menu of the P3D control list? Thanks in advance

With my MCP unit on from CPflight at times when I change flight levels, lets say to climb, the plane starts to climb, pitching up on vert speed needle, but then, the plane will pitch downward, then come back upwards and so on and so on. Anyone know why this happens. Also, at times when I am descending, and I set speed reduction in AT, because I am desending, the idle goes only to 40% N1 and speed starts to increase a lot instead of coming down to the set lower AT speed. Anyone know how to adjust it so idle goes to like 20% N1 like when just on start up? I use P3d v4, Spadnext, Project Magenta, and CPflight MCP unit.

Hi... Does anyone know if Taxi2Gate are going to update KMCO to add terminal C? They've practically modelled it...it just needs gates etc adding. Thanks

I bought this airport last November and all seemed well. A patch was issued for the third runway but plane spotting there yesterday revealed a problem. Using ADE Fault Finder it reports multiple runway issues. Turns out 13C still has multiple references to 13L. This manifests itself as landing aircraft on 13L taxiing over water to make their way to the terminal. Anyone else spotted this? I tried editing the AFCAD but the way it's been constructed is bringing up error messages in ADE.

I have returned to flying again after an illness. The PMDG Operations Center no longer works. I have several Delta 737-900ER liveries installed in P3Dv5.3 installed, but I never downloaded liveries for the standard B737-900. I've looked around including the Avsim Library, but can't find any NGXu Delta B737-900 liveries. They are PTP installers. Any idea where to find at least one?

Hi, I would be curious to learn who is using one of these apps and if so which one and why? Currently have been relying upon the Orbx Volanta app to provide that info, but this is only displayed once the flight (aircraft parked at the gate) has been completed. I am wondering if another stand-alone app which provides info directly after landing is more appropriate? Ideally, I am looking for something that records fpm and G. thx Mark

I have all regional versions of RealTurb and also the RealTurbCAT. I fly exclusively PMDG aircraft (mostly the 747-800i) and I use ActiveSky for the weather. However, it seems for me that RealTurb has no effect and everything stay calm all the time. Would anyone who uses a similar setup with RealTurb working be willing to share their P3D, ActiveSky and PMDG FMC turbulence settings with me? I'm not sure whether I installed the Realturb correctly, for me it was basically placing the .dll files in a folder and activating them in the sim, but no idea whether this is the correct procedure since the installation guide its useless? Hi all! I'm so late to this, but I'm attempting to use Reshade. Once I have loaded a scenario, I am unable to get the Reshade UI Panel to open within P3D v5. It shows up for a second, then disappears and my "End" key doesn't do anything to enable effects. What do I do to fix this?

During the days of FSX and even up to P3D V1 & 2, I used to love running Flight Deck Companion from a client PC in the sim for callouts, checklists, cabin announcements, and other random sounds. This is a very old piece of software that to my surprised, has never been updated or even re-released by anyone. Can someone share with me an add-on that does the same thing that FDC used to do? Or figured out a hack to make it work in P3DV4? Thanks!

Hello All ! and happy new year ! I am running into gsync and vert sync issues in v6 ( did not try v5): The issues i run into is twofold: 1. G-sync works fine untill you undock a window ( in my case a gps ) and slew it onto another screen. G-sync stops working then. Docking the window again in the main screen will make g-sync working again but an external gps is impossible that way. 2. Trying to solve it using vsync etc causes strange behavior, it works , no tearing but a lot of stuttering. I have tried all kinds of combinations. Wierd thing is when i activate and then de activate tripple buffer the screen is smooth and it goes to half t…

As it says in the tilte : For some reason triple buffer seems to be broken in v6 ( have not tried others). Since i can not use g sync i have to try and find another sollution. That involves vert sync and triple buffer . I have found a way but what happens is the following: Any time i use triple buffer and go into the menu( other than weather) or change anything in a windows menu or reload a new airport/p[lane / scenario etc , my frames drop from a fixed 50 fps with unlimited fps and 100 hz on my monitors to 30 fps. When i then reselect triple buffer in the graphics settings in p3d it is fixed again to 50fps and working again. It has the same be…

I installed the freeware PA30 Comanche from Milviz (Blackbird). I installed it in P3D v4 and v5. In v4 the lighting is fine (cabin lights, instruments, panels). In v5 the cockpit is dark; not a single light. At the download site it says that the plane is compatible with v5. So what's wrong? Does anyone know how to fix this for v5? Thanks. Rein

I’ve been using Norton 360 or one of Norton’s variants for years but, while still good, it has become bulky. Is there a consensus on what you’d use knowing P3Dv5 is primary? Of course I’m thinking overall Windows 10 security. As always, thank you.

I made a flight in the Majestic Dash Q400 in P3D5.4 with the newly purchased REX Sky Force 3d. I used REX real time weather. At random occasions I saw the plane suddenly change altitude. And even more weird when the autopilot tried to get back to the assigned altitude which was obvious since the vertical speed changed. But even with a significant vertical speed my altitude didnt change. How can I climb or descent without a change in altitude ? Also noted the key B for barometric pressure did not work. At one occasion with some cloud in front of me they suddenly disapperard. One time over sea it was white like frozen then suddenly it got normal.

Hey There, This has been a occuring issue since I downloaded Fs Global Ultimate 2024 a few months ago. Both flying over water and over ground gives me issues. It seems like the terrain carves out around me when I fly over it. Sometimes when flying over water i'll get a massive wall of ocean. Hello guys, Skysimulations' website seems to have been taken down and all the files went with it.. including the only place to get the paintkit. i used to have the files but no longer do. i clean my pc from time to time and this must have gone with it. now wanting to scratch an itch i want to paint a livery but cant. Skysimulations MD-11 Does anyone here have the paintkit still on their pc? would love to know.

Hi, I've had the problem with P3D for a long time that the clouds sometimes move completely in a different direction. Of course the whole thing looks very unrealistic, it looks as if I'm drifting to the left or right. in short the clouds are faster than me. I already had the problem with 5.3. and I also have it with 5.4 From what I could read in the Active Sky Forum, it's more of a problem with P3D. How do you deal with clouds or do you have any tips? I think I’ve discovered what has been causing P3D v5.4 to lockup at random intervals. On a flight from Manchester to Heathrow it occurred at the WCO NDB. On another from Sardinia to Athens it happened after a few minutes but after a couple of minutes the sim recovered and was fine for the rest of a two hour flight. It next happened on a flight from Manchester to Schiphol just 2 miles out from landing. The next time it happened as the wheels left the runway from Schiphol back to Manchester. The last one occurred 40 mins into a flight from New Orleans to Monterrey, Mexico. All happened with one aircraft - the PMDG737 NGXu. I’ve flown this aircraft for ye…
