For some time i use freeware Realturb for Africa, and i fail to see any effect provided by Realturb. I am testing it in Africa before i make decision to buy it, but so far i cannot justify eventual purchase. Do you see that Realturb really provides some extra sensation ?

One month ago I installed Gaya Simulations ENCN scenery and Orbx Split scenery. One month later P3D (v5.4) STILL asks me to enable the scenery when I start P3D. I am very frustrated with this now, I have other Obrx scenery I have to install but I don't want to because the sim will just keep asking me to enable them every time. I tried a few things but nothing helps.

I just want to share this with my forum friends. I'm not even sure if it actually is as significant as I will relate here. Above all, I'm very HAPPY with what happened. First, I'm running Windows 11 on a Jetline computer, and second, I fly P3dv5.4 (also fly MSFS) every day. I'm computer literate and usually am able to solve any problems on my own. I have used Jetline very infrequently to help with issues that I couldn't solve. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that Windows 11 took about 45 seconds longer to boot up than usual. Today upon trying to start Active Sky for P3d, I got a message that said... "Prepar3D Application Data location not found!" I tried to select the Hi Fi folder which was in Programs, I get a message that "You did not Select the proper folder. Proper ASP3d operation is not possible," I cannot uninstall HiFi in Control Panel because it indicates that Active SkyP5\unins000.msg is missing. I've tried to install a new download of Active Sky, but the same messages keep coming up. I would like to rid my computer of all Active Sky files so that I can download a fresh copy, but I cannot even do that.

One of the three animated flags in a freeware airport will disappear (pole and flag) if any winds are dialed in. If the winds are removed, then the flag and pole will reappear. This also happens in P3D V4.5 - I am using the latest version of SODE. (V1.8) A friend of mine created this airport and know of this issue and for now doesn't have any clues as to how to fix the issue. He does state that he doesn't have this issue in his V4.5 - Any help on this is appreciated.

In P3D's main menu I selected Virtual Reality/Enable Virtual Reality/Quest and nothing happens. (The other choices aside from Quest are "SteamVR" and "HMD Emulator"). I'm using a Link Cable. The USB test show 2.4 Gps throughput. It works fine in MSFS. How does one use Quest 3 with P3D 4.x?

Hi all, I wanted to share with you how I got rid of my DXGI hung errors in P3DV5. I'm using Win 10 Pro 1909. Amd Radeon VII with latest driver 20.5.1. I highly suggest you back up any files before making any changes!!! In the root p3d folder there are some direct x dll files as below: Some in the D3D12onWin7 folder, and some in the root folder. Assuming you are using 64 bit OS, goto C:\Windows\SysWOW64. In that folder there are a lot of dll's some of them are the same as the ones in the P3D root folder. So basically copy the matching dll's from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 into your root P3D folder and the D3D12onWin7 folder.…

I want to switch from FSUIPC 5.1 to 6 for p3dv4.5. Question: does 5.1 have to be uninstalled first, or can Vers6 simply be installed alongside it? Peter

Especially at night, everything is so yellow. The airports have all the requisite lights, blue, red and green. But once in the air it's yellow. What do you do for some variation? I'd rather not buy scenery itself. Thanks.

The navigraph survey showed us that the P3D marketshare is less than 10 %. But for me P3D is still the number 1 simulator and I think it will stay that way. So I keep buying scenery and/or aircraft for it. But mostly during sales. Nice sales still going on at ORBX and other developers. Just for a few days. So I bought a TE Region (UK Central) and 3 airports. About 60 Euro. But why not? I love P3D. Yesterday a short flight in the PNW region since a long time. It was a very nice experience. (Xtreme Prototype Lear25 v4 out - Anyone tried yet? - The Prepar3d Forum - The AVSIM Community) @Gazzareth does steer lock work similarly between Xtreme Prototype's Learjet 25 (version 3) and Flightsimware's Learjet 35 (I'm using the last released version in P3D)? It seems to work differently for me. I find that in the 35 I need to have steer lock on to steer the plane on the ground. On the other hand, it does not work that way in the 25. In the 25, the plane can be steered on the ground even with steer lock off.

IFR KONT - KLAS ATC assigns an altitude of zero/0? Issue with FSHud or the a320 I was flying? I tried the Mooney as well. I loaded the flight plan in P3D. Must I enter the plan in FSHud separately?

Hi everyone, Having recently had a look through the sales tab on SimMarket, I fell over soundpacks from the likes of Ad Hoc Simulations & Audio Overhaul. I've been wanting to spruce up the audio for some of the various aircraft I own. Does anyone here have any good experiences with either of these 2 developers? I looked through YouTube, but the only video available was the Ad Hoc Sim 787 soundpacks. Primarily interested in picking up the Boeing 777 & 737 MAX 8 packs. Running Prepar3D V5.4.

Hi guys, I have the CRJ-200-1000 and EMB-170 to 195 models, all using the P3DV4 model data. None are showing in P3DV5 with any PBR textures and I don't know why, is there a file in CCDATA which is the PBR file that the texture.cfg should be pointing at or does it not exist? i.e RFSL_CRJ200Fv3_B.dds? I recently spoke with someone that successfully installed PMDG aircraft into V6 by, "Move and overwrite p3d.5 files to p3d6 then reinstall again p3d6...done !!" Which makes little sense. What files, copy where etcetera? I looked on P3D and the only legacy files available are the last release. Nothing prior to V6. Any ideas?

In cruise for 4 hours from EGLL to KIAD the 'total' sound drops off significantly. Prior to this the 'total sound' level is at the preset level, and when I select another Window the environmental sounds drop off. When the P3D window is reselected, the soundincreases back to preset level. After 4 hours approximately the overallsound level drops off to the lower level and will not return to preset. When I select the drop-down menu OPTIONS --> GENERAL, the sound jumps back up to the previous higher level. As soon as I come out of the drop-down menu the overall sund level dropsagain. Wha'sgoing on?

Some time ago, I deleted all my freemesh files to free up some disk space. However, I now am thinking I would like to use it again in P3D v5.4. However I have googled for a place to download. The thread on AVSIM provides a link to the torrent app, but I am not sure that it connects to anywhere to reach the files for download. In short, where can I find the Free Mesh collection? Thanks. Question for AS 320 users: where exactly is the Navigraph flight plan saved? Problem: in my case it is in the d/l folder, and is therefore probably not recognized in the FMC during input Peter

The reason I ask is the Just Flight version is for FSX but sometmes FSX versions of aircraft do work in P3D. Granted, I know there could be limitations. Just tried an FSX CLS MD-80 in P3D and it looked great but I need n MD-87. Anybody?!??

Please, List the 3 best and 3 worst aspects of the addon... And what you expect from future updates...
