Hi guys, The PMDG Ops Center has just stopped working for me. I sent in a support ticket and they said it was "Antivirus or other protective software" but I'm not running anything (not even Windows Defender), at least that I know of. The Ops Center worked just a few days ago when I installed a livery. I've checked and I'm running it in admin mode. This seems to happen once in a while to the Ops Center, and the answer always is to reinstall, but I think I loose all my liveries when I do this, which is a pain. So... anyone know another route to go where I could keep all my liveries? Or do I just have to once again bite the bullet and reinstall all the liv…

Hi All, This is a request to users of moroccan airports in P3D and especially those who use the freeware Oujda Angads GMFO from the now defunct website Moroccan Virtual Air Association. Upon rebuilding my PC and reinstalling P3D v5 and all sceneries I could not find the original zip file named MVAA Oujda Angads - GMFO (P3D5).rar and the file left from the previous installation seems to be corrupt or missing files as it cannot be displayed correctly. The developper cannot be reached as the email address provided in his text file coming with the zip file does no longer exist either same as his website. Hi folks, Just purchased the FSDG Seychelles scenery and FSIA's runway 31 ILS heading is a little off. I think there's a little mag variation between FSX/early P3D and P3dv5, which may account for it. I assuming to fix it, I need to edit the AFD file. I looked at it with an AFD editor - I'm just wondering what the best practice on modifying the ILS approach data is to fix this (re: what settings, modifying a stock ILS, etc.) Appreciate any guidance, Daniel

This is a "sound" concern. I would like to know if there's any way to amplify the "thunk" of the landing gear on airliners when employing or retracting them. I love that sound of realism. I haven't found that sound in P3d on any of the airliners I fly. Oh, yes...you can hear gear deployment, but it doesn't have that distinct THUNK that I'm looking for. If there is a way to change it in the config or sound folder or if there is a separate Sound Download somewhere where you have heard it, I would appreciate your input on this. Stan

Sorry this may be a question that gets asked a lot, but the field is constantly evolving and I couldn't find and recent posts. I've been using P3D professionally as a study tool with Aerosoft A330 Pro. It's a good combination and mimics the real aircraft reasonably well. I've now been looking to take this to the next level with VR and borrowed a Quest VR headset to see if it works. After the usual fluffing around I got it to work quite well and I think this will be a great step forward. The main issue was the focus and resolution, which made the experience a bit clunky, somewhat difficult to read the FMA etc, and required zooming in/out more than desirable. I'm…

I have a post at FSDevelopers but have not had any reply with help with this situation. I have SODE flags at many of my airports both individual US Flag as well as state and county flags and even a POW/MIA flag at KASH as at the real airport. Here is my dilemma. I have been doing airport sceneries for FSX for some years now and all the SODE is in FSX until very recently. I just completed KPLN Pellston/Emmett County Airport in Michigan with custom buildings and other objects some converted from Matthias Rau's FS2004 version with his permission. Just re-installed v5.3 over the weekend, sitting here at work now and only just realised that I did not install the SDK for the sim. Is it required? Do I have to install it - by that I mean will certain add-ons not work if it isn't installed? Everything to do with the re-install has gone fairly smoothly - multiple PMDG planes, multiple ORBX sceneries and airports, AIG AI, Active Sky etc. - everything has worked except GSX. I cannot get the menu to appear in sim by pressing the usual CTRL+ F12 or via the menu, just covering bases and wondering if that may have anything to do with the SDK not being present. Cheers.

Hi, I got a Coreflight 737 EFIS unit but I don't understand SPADnext to set it up. They are saying Project Magenta is not supported by SPAD. I need help with Profiles and setting it so SPAD reads PM 737-800 plane. Right now SPAD can see my EFIS and it works when the buttons and knobs are moved, but its just not seeing it when I have P3D v 4 running. I already have a radio and landing gear panel working OK with SPAD. Core is saying I need that PMDG 737 or wait for them to send me a new profile. Maybe someone here can remote my PC to help me get this solved. I have tried going onto the SPAD Discord forum and don't understand anything of it or how to even …

It pops up every time. I crash and it says buttery smooth landing.

The "Madeira X Evo" installer only gives options for at most v4, so when we install the scenery in v5 we have to manually add the files to the Scenery Library, and even then there are some inconsistencies with airfield altitudes... I tried to fly from and into LPMA and LPPS using FSHUD, stable and beta versions, and the airports / runways aren't recognized. Had to uninstall Aerosoft Madeira and use the default scenery instead 😕 Not that bad, but surely not the same thing... Wonder if any of you knows what the origin of the problem might be and a possible solution?

Hi all- How does AIG determine which runway to land on based on the prevailing wind (from ASky)? Or it doesn't, and the runway is baked into the bgl? Sometimes I see AIG models taking off downwind. Thanks, Mark

It seems that Xtreme Prototype has launched their v4 version of their Learket 25 addon for P3D. I have always heard good things of the previous ones. I wonder if Anyone tried this one yet to give us a quick review?

Yesterday, I attempted a download on Simviation, and I use the Download manager, IDM (Internet Download Manager). I use this site every day, and I've downloaded successfully the various planes or utilities I use in P3d. I really love IDM and have used it for many years. Downloads usually are opened quickly, and they do go to my Compressed Folder on my C drive under User, Name, Downloads, Compressed. However, yesterday, when I tried to open a 747 China Airlines livery, it would not open and gave me the following message: "Windows Cannot Open the Folder. Currently I have JustSim's Oslo scenery for P3D v5.4. The performance SUCKS! I have a pretty high-end computer and the sim still crashes at Oslo because of VRAM issues. Even with Dynamic Texture Streaming clicked on and a few settings lowered this scenery comes very close to crashing because of the VRAM. This shouldn't be happening! So now I am thinking of dumping the JustSim scenery and buying the Aerosoft version of Oslo. My question is how is the Aersoft scenery compared to the JustSim scenery? Is the Aerosoft scenery up to date (terminal wise and other buildings)? Does it have SODE jetways (or GSX jetways)? If I don't get the Aerosoft scenery is there anytth…

I have pushed the slider full LEFT (0%) in the lighting options, but would be interested in knowing what your experiences dictate in your sim installs... Are there any performance advantages in setting Bloom off ? It always looks way too intense to me, but maybe I could use some magic number for that setting ?
