Two questions. Has anyone found a way to increase the HUD brightness in the NGXu in version five? Against a bright or hazy sky it's practically unusable. It doesn't seem to matter if EA is on or off. It's been so long since I've used it in version 4 if I ever did, I can't remember if the same issue showed in V4. Can anyone with version 4 installed with the NGXu tell me if that's the case.

Has anyone figured out how to make the cockpit lights work in the Milviz T-38A Adv under V6? The lights are working in V4, but I never got it to work in V5 either. I installed Reallight when prompted, but the interior lights are still not working. The external lights and cockpit lights do work. Forum and Internet searches have not been helpful. Any ideas?

Reinstalled p3dv5 to have a clean install with just fslabs Airbuses and orbx global, vector and Europe LC, but when I installed the simconnect fsx acceleration for sode 1.8.0, when I start p3d the window never appears. Have uninstalled sode and fsx acc simconnect, but I always have to force the window to appear through the task manager 🥴

I visited a friend today to help improving his P3Dv5 setup. He said he has v5.3. We flew north of Heathrow and I spotted Wembley Stadium. It was the new one opened in 2007. When I got home i checked my system running 5.3HF2 and it was the old Stadium. With the two towers. I suspect he has 5.4. Could any with 5.4 please confirm which Wembley they have please?

This is a bizarre issue that just cropped up in the past couple weeks. Whenever I run P3Dv5, even just the UI without actually starting a flight, I lose internet connectivity. I have reproduced this several times and I am certain that P3D is the culprit. I tried disabling all my Bitdfender protections, including the firewall, but the problem remains. I wonder if the latest Windows 11 update on April 10th may have changed something? Antone else ever experience this, and if so, were you able to resolve the problem? Thanks. Dave

Hi, I have problems with V5.4 First I had upgraded from V5.3 to V5.4 After a couple of flights I noticed that my CPU temps are around 90 degrees. Then I saw that P3D keeps loading the CPU to 100%. As soon as I'm in the air, I notice that my whole computer works slower because P3D keeps drawing up to 100% resources. I then completely deleted P3D and reinstalled 5.4 again. The problem is still there. What I find strange is that I have 55 to 60 degrees on the ground and 75 to 85 degrees in the air. I sometimes have a difference of 20 degrees between the ground and the air. I also don't understand that everything is ok on the …

I'm am suddenly running of memory on P3D loading screen. My settings haven't changed for months. Why I am having this issue now?

Hi! currently, I have ENVTEX and ASCA which I used in P3D v4.5. After switching to v5, I'm wondering whether using one or both of them will improve the look of the volumetric clouds in P3D v5. Some help would be appreciated!

Simple problem: when on P3Dv5, requesting the metar for Gander (CYQX) vPilot returns the message: "Network error: No such weather profile" Really?

I am going to re-install P3D on my new PC which is a 7800X3D with 4090 GPU. Previously I had P3D v5.3 installed but as it will be a new install are there any benefits or disadvantages of going to V5.4 I read that there in some cases of temperature problems with V5.4 but is it worth trying for any benefits in v5.4. I wanted to try out the Milviz F-86 now that it's free and it's an awesome airplane but it doesn't have the default GPS panel installed, so I added it via the panel.cfg file so I can use it to navigate since I don't know very well how to navigate and set up flight plans using only VOR's and NDB's. When I first start the plane the GPS works fine but after about 10 minutes after start, the GPS turns off and I can't figure out why or how to turn it back on. I made sure the battery and generator switches where on but there's no avionics switch or anything since it wasn't designed for one. I don't understand why it won't stay on. Any advice please? Thank you

Hi, has anybody tried V6 in VR yet? How does it work performance wise compared to V5? In V5 I could never get rtid of stuttering, it was never a fluid experience (V4.5 was better on that matter). If stuttering is gone in V6 and performance better than in V5 this would be a reason good enough to upgrade for me I have a Rift S, RTX3090 and i9900K. Cheers, Vvince

I need to free up some space on my 1T SSD. P3D 4.5 with addons is taking up 225 GB. I have a blank 500 GB SSD I would like to move P3D and its addons to. Is there a best way to do this? I read somewhere once that all you have to do is cut and paste. Is this true?

I know I'm still running P3dv4.5HF3 but can anyone please advise what could be the issue with my Imaginesim WSSS night lighting? I have PBR and Dynamic Lighting turned off in the GUI, I do have Tomatoshade installed with dynamic reflections all turned off but this lighting doesn't show up at any other addon scenery, this is there 2020 updated scenery.

Hey everyone. Have been flying with Prepar3d v5 for nearly 8 months now and recently took the plunge and got the PMDG 737 and freighter addon. I am LOVING IT! Having flown it during livestreams quite frequently on my YT channel, I am amazed at the ease of flying it once you learn all the systems, etc. and even made my own custom checklist for the plane. Now I want to expand my aircraft out beyond the aircraft I ported over, IE: POSKY, etc... I fly mainly Delta aircraft but have expanded my flights to some FedEx, AA and UAL planes. So based on that, what are your recommendations for payware aircraft for P3d v5.4? I also have the QW 757 as well and am learning…

Hello helpfulls, Back when I were a lad - and before my break from simming for quite a few years - I used to download AFCAD files from the avsim file library for FSX to improve default airport layouts and the AI positioning. There seemed rto be one for every airport I ever looked for and it was normally done by the same chap. I have a memory of him being called Smith but that may be a false memory. Hi, I have a strange issue with the sim sounds. When i start the Sim (P3D4.5) , sound is ok but if i use ATC the sound is almost completely muted and stay muted. Any idea? Many thanks
