Where's the Map?
I had to bind the “v” key to the map but I still don’t get the map when I use the key.

Still starting FSX with a Default aircraft?
Fr. Bill, thanks for the clarification. It makes more sense to me now. Also I've enjoyed your many contributions to the forums over the years. GW

Still starting FSX with a Default aircraft?
Would someone clarify what is being meant by "starting" a default aircraft in this context?; does it mean setting an original aircraft as the default, opening the preview screen, then changing to a different model? or does it mean selecting the designated default aircraft and changing after loading it to the takeoff location? Also, in context it seems the term "default" is often used to describe one of the original aircraft aircraft that was delivered with the FSX installation, and not an add on. This would be different that referring to the aircraft designated from the installed fleet and designated as the "default." I could designate any add-on aircraft as the default.

Who's the oldest flight simmer?
Yes, I remember Chuck Yeager's sim. How far have we come?

Float Plane & Float Heli recommends?
The Lionheart Quest Kodiak is an outstanding model and comes with a floatplane configuration.

Best plane for sight-seeing VFR in FSX?
+1 for the OV-10. Great visibility and decent speed.

Captain Sim 777 v0.5 Release?
I just got the beta this week. I'm not complaining because I saw the test announcement before purchase, but after flying it for an hour, I would have rather waited for later updates before getting it. The systems still seem too incomplete for me and the operations manual is not finished. I have plenty of other planes to fly until this one is more complete

Individual Aircraft Flight Hours?
Has anyone figured out if it is possible to find the individual flight hours per aircraft type? I know I can see the total number of aircraft flown, and the flight hours for the favorite aircraft (I assume the highest hour plane through the Flight interface, but are the individual numbers hidden in a file somewhere? Thanks, and happy flying

Ms Flight Headphone problem
It doesn't solve the problem for me. Regardless of how I setup sound devices in Window, I only get speaker output from Flight. I haven't found any Flight setup equivalent to how sound can be directed to output as may be done in FSX.

Personal record...
Wow! 63 positive and 23 negative g's. That's a tough airframe and crew.

I want an Airbus A-380....where is best?
I tried the Abacus A380 and did not like it. Like many models I've tried from this publisher, the exterior is beautiful, but the cockpit inferior. I'm not one to fly much from the exterior view, so it did not fit me well.

Kalohi-Pallolo Channels Aerocache Intstructions
The phrasing problem is in the use of "radial." By FAA definition, A "radial" is defined as an orientation "FROM" the station. The Instrument Flying Handbook describes an example of an aircraft north of a VOR station heading south toward the station. This was described as flying an inbound course of 180 degrees on the 360 radial. The outbound course would be 360 degrees while on the 360 radial. The instructions could have been stated correctly in several different ways; one to use the radials off the stations (as defined as the outbound directions), or to use other to use courses inbound or outbound from the station on intercept. In the last method, it is important to state whether the course is inbound or outbound relative to the station. I'm not trying to start arguments by this, but to apply as much consistency as possible with real world flying. Many Flight users have never been exposed to VOR/VORTAC navigation, so the differences would not be apparent, and that is OK. And for some, just fetching the Aerocache reword is enough however it is achieved, and that's OK with me. But for me, my goal was to practice VOR navigation procedures, and in doing so properly, reach the achievement. I could have done this without saying anything, but was hoping to contributing to improving our Flight experience. Where possible, I think we should encourage proper procedures and practices, and maybe help someone else learn a bit of airmanship. At any rate, lets have fun with Flight. GW

Kalohi-Pallolo Channels Aerocache Intstructions
I just looked at the Aerocache of the day for April 15 (Kalohi-Pallolo Channels) and think there is a problem with the instructions. It states to fly the intersection of Lanai VOR on the 210 radial, the Maui VOR on the 88 radial, and the Molokai VOR 285 radial. VOR radials extend away from VOR on the magnetic course indicted by the number. Therefore, the stated radials do not intersect. If the reciprocal of the given VOR radials is used, they do intersect. This would make the instruction state Lanai VOR 030 radial, Maui VOR on the 268 radial, and the Molokai VOR on the 105 radial. Just a thought. I haven't finished flying it yet, but I think I have a better chance of finding the point with the adjusted numbers. Happy flying, GW Sorry for the double post.
