I have installed the Milviz Beaver into P3Dv5.3 and it is able to be loaded but I don't see the proper Radio with a gps window wanted. I want to use the MVAMS to choose a different radio .... the 530/430. I assume the MVAMS is looking P3D4 because after using MVAMS to choose the Milviz 530/430 and saving the change is not made. I also have FSX installed and the MVAMS works fine. I have searched for a solution but have come up empty.

Tonight I installed Newcastle into my P3D v5.4 and I am having some trouble. It installed fine but there are red X's at the terminal. I know it is because SODE because when I untick the SODE option in the configurator the X's are gone. But I would like to use SODE at Newcastle. There is a file named UK2000 Newcastle Extreme in the SODE XML folder but the is no folder in the SODE SimObjects folder. Is there supposed to be one? Because I think that is why I am getting the red X's at the terminal when I select the SODE option in the configurator. If it does need a folder in the SimObjects folder how to I get it?

All of a sudden my P3D v5.4 has started crashing and I don't know why. I can't run the sim for more than 30 seconds before it crashes. The sim will freeze then crash to the desktop. Here is the event log. I did install 3 sceneries, but I uninstalled them and the sim still crashes. I may look silly because I keep bringing stuff that is more than well known to most of you fellow P3D simmers :-), but I have to express my very positive surprise with the results of running P3dv5.4 now with LC Europe... My only paid product from Orbx, since I purchased it around 2013, has been Global Base Pack, which I also installed for a while in P3dv6 and even in that new version does make a difference!!!, but I had never even considered LC or Vector, in the past because my desktop PCs weren't that powerful but also because I use flight simulators 90% of the time to simulate airliner flying. Hi All. As mentioned in another thread, I have recently installed into P3d V5.4, AIG with the one click automated process. I had two problems after the install. One was an atc audio issue which has now been resolved with the kind help of others on this forum. The other, which I now need help with is an elevation issue with the water just to the west of Taxi2Gate KSEA,(updated to P3d v5). It's like a pit in the water, which only appeared after the AIG install. I've also tried the INI build exclude. I've tried to take a picture but can't get it to show here. I'm guessing it's a double afcad problem but don't know how to access the AIG afcad files or even if that's the corre…

Every day, when I go into Orbx Central, my Sim Object Display Engine shows that there is an UPDATE. I update it every day and the update message goes away. However, when I go back into ORBX CENTRAL, it shows update message again. It NEVER gets updated, and I really don't know why the update is not "taking". Do you have the same problem recently as well? I've never seen this before. I have synced my simulator (P3dV5.4) in Central and I have run the Verify Files on the SODE, but the update never really gets installed. I would appreciate your help. Hi I'm setting up AS in the config runset manager. When I run SS, I get the AS dialog box asking whether I want to run V4 or V5. A long ways back I found a parameter used by someone to do this but cannot find it. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I have been flying in P3Dv4 since October 2018, and I still get plenty of enjoyment from it five years later. There will probably be a day in the near future when I upgrade to a more modern flight simulator, but one aspect of sticking with what I have for now is that I can "fly the flag" for a handful of flight simulation products that many others have left behind. I am proud to still be using these, whether because of a high degree of respect for developers that have left the flight simulation industry, or because I was involved in some small way in a product's development. Hello! Does anyone knows of any addon to create realistic wing effect during turbulence? maybe that depens in the model and its not possible to change... I was looking to the following video (minute 5:20) and maybe anyone knows how add or create realistc effect. Thanks

I was inspired by the pictures from Rogen and his P3D4.5 setup. I run 5.4 but I'm thinking about going back to 4.5. I have also a licence for this. Offcourse I could install it, but that takes some time and file management. Have to make some space for it. So I first like to know what are the most important differences between 4.5 and 5.4. Offcourse EA and Volumetric clouds. I also remember some posts saying that the FPS and smoothness in 5.4 is better. Are there other things? And is the FPS/smoothness significantly better.

I have P3DV5 and P3DV6 on the same computer although in different drives. I have AIG set up on P3DV5 and recently discovered that there is a slot for P3DV6 in the setup. I would like to know if I can run P3DV6 utilizing the AIG setup on P3Dv5? I realize that I would have to run Manager and Controller each time I switch P3D versions. I might be out to lunch with this but would really like to set up both.

Hi, I fly exclusively in VR and had to uninstall/reinstall P3Dv5.4 recently. Now I can't see any message text appearing in my normal screen, outside of the VR image, as I had before. Has anyone else had this problem? I like to check an ATC message if I have not quite caught the aural version. I'll be really grateful for any help. Regards Jim

Recently I have had several "Analyze Wait Change" msgs in the WIN11 resource monitor. The sim pauses and all CPUs are maxed. The last simulation identified Threads 15872, 1756, and 14132 as waiting for a resource to use. I have the default [JOB SCHEDULER] in the *.cfg file and HT enabled. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated--Thanks, Robert

Anyone have a CPflight MCP unit. Mine is from 2004, but it was working fine in 2020, when I last turned on my sim. Everything is working as then except CPflight MCP unit. I keep getting this error when I go to click on CPflight mcp: Run Time error 8005 Port already open. Not sure why I can't use the MCP unit with Project Magenta and P3Dat happened. I have not updated anything since 2020. P3D, Project Magenta, SPAD and other items are working fine. Randy

Hi, P3D is actually very stable for me and once even ran for 1500 hours without any crashes. But every now and then I find the autosave option useful. I currently use Volanta's autosave function. But it costs me a monthly fee and I only have the subscription because of Autosave. I saw the FSUIPC purchase version that has an autosave function. Can somebody say something about this ? Does it work well? does it cause problems? I read earlier that you shouldn't use autosave. But in Volanta it works very well. But I don't feel like spending money every month. thx

Hi, There is a topic concerning installing add-on in V6. Thank's for it. We need now a topic of what must be done to adapt V5 aircraft for V6. Specially as I have not found so far any aircraft officially V6 ready !!! One of the issue I have concerns the lights effects in aircraft.cfg [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabin What parameters need to be modified in the effect file from V5 to V6 to get back previously working lights (night and day) ? Whenever I install P3D I notice my space in the system ( C : ) drive shrinking, and now that I have v5 and v6, wow, it stole around 70 GB... The package cache folders, with CAB files, correspond to the install, and they stay there even after installing... In the past I believe I have deleted it without problem, and today, not thinking twice about it, I deleted both collections of folders from the v6 and then the v5 installs... Does it matter? Would it be required under some updates? Well, just hope not because I made no backup 😬
