Hi, I am assigning a saitek axis to the gear lever with jeehell software. I had everything set right and it worked but then suddenly it stopped working. when I move the lever up now, it bounces up and down. (The led landing indicators are blinking).

Hello! I read somewhere about a program that allows you to use SSD & HDD in tandem. SSD caches data and speeds up HDD operation. I want to try to combine SSD-512 + HDD-4Tb for MegaSceneryEarth I am looking for a program with minimal settings. Preferably with one button 🙂

Goodevening all, Since I bought a second monitor a month ago, i was trying to get P3d to work with it. I can the view ''Stretched'' over my two monitors, but the view on the sides is kind of horrendous due to the strech of certain items. Hey guys ! Educate me. I know nothing about shading plugins or add ons. I have lots of scenery like ORBX and REX but am curious about shading. Any recommendations ? I would go Ortho but I also fly XPlane and have over 2 TB of Ortho and dont have another drive at the moment to start adding a library for P3D. Thanks !

Background - I was for many years a commited Microsoft FS user, from FS2000 through to FSX. In FSX I had many great add-ons, including Traffic 360. In December last year, I took the plunge and moved over to P3Dv4. Since moving over (generally very impressed with P3D) I've been on the lookout for a good AI package. Although UTL caught my eye, I did not purchase. I opted instead to go for Traffic Global in early access and see how that went. Hi there, So recently I’ve been having problems with the 747 and can’t figure out what is causing the problem... And there seems to be no trace of the crash anywhere, like in the event viewer. Part 1 (No crash):Starting p3d with 747 at the default airport. Part 2 (With crash):Starting p3d with 747 at EHAM. UPDATE: I tried to re-install the 747, and the first verdion works (3.00.9008), but when updating the plane it doesn't work anymore (3.00.9431). Thanks!

It is a small airfield mostly used for gliding that I discovered while exploring this area near the finger lakes, I decided to stop there to visit the museum and it was a great opportunity to shoot some high quality pictures of the buildings. I have have a question specific to the water/pooling PBR effect for P3D V4.5 - I can't seem to see the effect. Testing w/ LatinVFR Miami V5 w/ P3D v4.5 - using AS and injecting rain. I don't see the water/reflecting/pooling effect - is there a setting I need to change/adjust? Thanks. Chuck

So I am that guy that people come to with any computer problems. Hardware or software. So I feel a bit stupid here.. I installed FS Global Ultimate NG FTX last night after a couple weeks of reading all I could about the best mesh for FSX/Prepar3D. Years ago when I only flew FSX I had amazing mesh from FS Genesis. Even had a lifetime subscription....yeah, well that's no good anymore so they are dead to me!!!! I had designed some scenery using the mesh from them... PrealSoft Releases Casablanca for P3D and FSX I am a bit stumped on that one. Casablanca means "white house". The city is white! What do developers call "custom autogen"? There are NO brown roofs in Casablanca and there are no roofs with tiles at all but white flat "terrasses". Unfortunately, this scene looks a European one and adding few emblematic buildings on the sea shore doesn't make it more real.

Hello, I recently adjusted some settings in PTA and Skyforce and now have this horrible looking hexagon around the sun. What settings will help rid me of this horrid effect(it especially ruins sunsets). Hexagon Sun I have no idea where these settings might be or if it is PTA or P3D related, but I do know that it was not like that before. Thank you for your help.

I stumbled across a post from someone mentioning periodic, but not steady pauses in P3DV4. I have seen them too, even after moving P3D to an SSD drive. I have always enabled "Pause on task switch" in case I drop to my browser to get airport data. But out of need, Windows has background tasks. In Visual Basic, I had to add a "Doevents" into any loop for apps I coded, especially graphics apps, otherwise such apps could lock Windows tight. So I saw a suggestion about disabling pause on task switch to end the periodic, half second pauses that would come especially in the denser scenery areas upon approach into a detailed airport, like SFO. Hello all, Is it possible to edit the stock P3Dv4.5 traffic bgl in order to remove the default commercial traffic? I'm running my own AIG commercial lineup but I also want to keep the default GA traffic. I want to keep my commercial slider at 100% for the AIG traffic and not have to look at Orbit, Pacifica, etc... I can install UT Live for GA coverage but the aircraft look very FS5-ish. So unless there's another GA setup out there, I'd like to keep the default GA. Thanks! Brian

I say "new" - the one from May. Tell you what, significant performance increase. Probably 30% overall, but at TNCM, where I was getting sub-15 FPS with FlyTampa's scenery, now I'm getting 35. It says "Fixed performance issues seen on some systems and configurations." Definitely true for me.

Good evening. I am experiencing an issue where my water texture has 3-4 large bands across it at night. During the day, it looks fantastic, but at night it has these bands. The land and sky textures dont have this issue so I am working on the assumption that it must be a setting/shader. I am using PTA. With no shaders applied, it still has the same effect. Specs: i5 8600K @5.0Ghz GTX 1060 6GB 16GB RAM With a PMDG 777, I'm barely getting 15 fps 😛 I run Orbx England, Vector, Open LC, as well as Sky Force + Enviro Force. I use 514 textures for SF+EF. Hi all, When Prep3D is installed a folder named "Prepare3D v4 Files" is created in the user's "Documents" folder. I would like to relocate this Prep3D folder onto the SSD where my other Prep3D folders reside. Whilst the moving itself is trivial I have no idea what to do to let Prep3d know where "Prepare3Dv4 folder" is now located. Can anyone explain to me what needs to be done in order for Prep3d itself to know about this move so that it looks to the new location to find its files? I checked the P3D config file out but had no joy there.

I flew my Carenado Citation 550 from SFO to JFK, just touched down at JFK. It was my longest real time flight in quite some time. A testament to P3DV4.5's stability on a system of my specs, to complete a flight like that without a CTD. One thing which helped me is unplugging my SSD drive from my USB 3.0 slot and plugging it back in to a USB 2.x slot, my SSD drive seems happier with a 2.x slot, given my system specs. Who knew? I still think my SSD drive, about a month old now, is the biggest blessing to P3D since the proggie, content and scenery, plus my MSE photo scenery, is all loaded up on it which makes for faster everything, and more fluid everything, now that SS…

Hello, I dont have much to say. Basicaly, after FTX GLOBAL and OpenLC installation, my ground textures are mixed, between ORBX and DEFAULT. I have tried everything in scenery library, but nothing happens...anyone know how to solve that? I have seen other topics about it before but nothing works. I'm using P3Dv4. Hello, I have a texture issue with p3d and unfortunately cant fix it by myself 😞. I need your help. The runway texture on some airports disappear under certain viewing angles. I attached screenshots. The airports are default ones and the issue doesnt relate to the used aircraft. I had this issue also on my old pc, so it must be an addon constellation, I think. I use the latest P3D Version and the following addons: AS/ASCA, Envtex, Envshade, OrbX Vector, Europe, Germany South, Germany North and some more, Chaseplane, GSX v2, FSUIPC, UTLive, OldProp Products.
