When I bought my Samsung T5 SSD I migrated just my photo scenery over to the new drive, and I saw great improvements in fluidity in the sim as a result---it was fluid prior but way better after the SSD. But I still wondered if I could improve AI performance, which I kept at just half throttle, if I migrated all the rest of the default content, and even the default scenery over to my SSD. I had to first do a straight copy to move my add-ons over, but during the process another background program I was running grabbed all my memory, and some default scenery got corrupted because my migration failed. Hi, I have been using Envtex for cloud textures and other textures like waves and water; ASCA for cloud structures and dynamic sky colours. Now I am trying to figure out how to get SF3D integrated with them. I aim for SF3D’s full cloud-related functionality, including but not limited to cloud structures & textures, rain shaft etc., without its weather engine. I understand that for the issue-free mix and match, I have to customise settings for ASCA, Envtex, SF3D and maybe some other effect add-ons having functions overlapping each other, so that eventually only one add-on is responsible for a particular function. Hi Mates, I'm considering to buy the Carenado Cessna 337H HD V2 for the originality of the Push Pull. 1. If you fly it in P3D, how do you like it? 2. The HD is not only for the external model but also the cockpit? Are the gauges as crisp as A2A aircrafts? 3. Is there an option to NOT display the default GPS and fly only with the classic avionics? Hi, I would like to have my prepar3d.cfg rebuild to see if I can get a slight performance boost. Can I just make a backup of the current config file and then delete the old one to have a new fresh prepar3d.cfg created? Just in case something gets wrong...will the backup always bring me back to exactly(!) the same setting/configuration as before? What about tools like PTA? When I'm on the ground and press B the baro will set to the ASky barro setting but when I'm airborne and press B it's as P3D just defaults back to 29.92. Problem being that if the baro goes to 30.30 then ATC will tell me I'm to low. Also before the 7070 update ATC would always finish my telling the baro, now it doesn't anymore. Is this an ASky problem or is it on my end. Any suggestions.

Hi, I´m considering buying rudder pedals. But I´m not convinced about advantages. I was looking for some experiences around forums and internet, but honestly I haven´t found many. I´m mostly flying Aerosoft Airbuses (319,320), I have Thrustmaster Joystick T Flight Hotas X, which has twist function for rudder. I have found rudder would serve for me mostly for taxiing and braking when landing. So I dont see such big added value. Do you use rudder pedals? Is it big defference? I use ASP4 as the weather engine, RSF as the cloud texture and model, and the ASCA is for the cloud dynamic function. The question is that 1. REF&ASCA, Which one should I choose or they are all getting well compatible. 2. What're the differences between ASCA and Rex Environment Force 3. Hello, I've been away from my sims for a month or two, and yesterday when I tried lauching P3D, it would get stuck on the initial loading screen before the scenario menu appears., and it always gets stuck at 6% when loading terrain data. I'm on Windows 10 Home. So far I've tried the following : I thought it had something to do with scenery files so I deleted the scenery.cfg, and the SceneryIndexes_64 folder. Didnt Work Then I deleted the P3D.cfg, just in case. Didnt work. Using the Repair option in the Add/Remove Programs menu Neither of those has fixed the problem, it is still getting stuck at the same position. Any ideas on how to get…

After years of 'tube-driving', I've discovered the joys of flying GA aircraft. To that end, I'm wondering what model I should buy. Preferably, I'm looking for a twin prop with windshield effects (e.g. TrueGlass). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Installed ORBX Global airport pack for north america, which includes KLAL....THEN i found an even better scenery that includes the sun n' fun stuff ect for lakeland. Installed that and now I get overlapping buildings ect. I went into my ORBX folder and removed the FTX lakeland bgl from the folder, but I still have this issue. Then I tracked down the stock airport scenery bgl and deleted that (made a backup obviously)..STILL no change. if theres no bgl for any other "version" of this airport (ive deleted them) then how in the hell am I getting two sets of each building? I want to use the new scenery, I have it activated in the scenery library and its top priority, still s…

I am currently using a Samsung 500Gb SSD for the P3d flighsim and add-ons but I recently bought a XGA(A-Data) 1Tb NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD which is 6-7 times faster speed-wise at an extremely good price. Will the copy program Acronis True image HD work to create a new Flightsim "D" drive without reinstalling everything? Again, the hard-drive "D" path-links should remain the same. Darryl

I am looking for good sound advice. I recently installed P3Dv4.5 on my Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD, because the Solid State Drive that came with my new pc has only 250GB of space. Needless to say, it will be just a matter of time before I ran out of space after installing a mutlitude of planes, weather engines, Flight1 GTN Complete, and Aerosoft Airbuses. When I first installed P3dv4.5 on my 2TB hdd, the installer did not create the LockheedMartin/P3dv4 path. As a result of this omission, those folders do not exist. Must be a doldrums sort of Summer.... I'm not seeing many new releases. Orbx has been putting out some scenery but I'm specifically thinking of aircraft. Where are they? Perhaps devs are waiting to see how MSFS turns out?

Hi, I have a Xbox One Controller connected via BlueTooth that I am trying to use to control Chase Plane. Chase Plane picks up the button assignments from the controller no problem. My issue is that certain buttons on the controller are sending commands to P3D, even though I cannot find any of them assigned in the P3D controller menu. For example, the "Change View" button on the controller activates the "End Scenario" menu in P3d. The A or "Select" button actives the brakes. I have also tried using FSUIPC to intercept the controller commands and assign them to either a NULL command, a keyboard command, or a FS command. However, no luck; the default controller/P3D beha…

Hi all looking at my next payware aircraft after coming back to simming and enjoying flying the Q400 on P3D v4.5. What's the state of the 787? Has the latest patch fixed the LNAV/VNAV issues and is there other issues that have popped up? I can wait till the NG3 or get another PMDG product but I really want to use the 787 to fly the real world 787 routes I like. What else do people recommended? Simlabs A320? Just a simple question because THERE IS an IMPACT! I've been experimenting on my system with the following: SkyForce and Environment Force. I use Active Sky for P3d always...love it for the weather! When I use SkyForce AND Environment Force together, there is a significant effect on FPS....NO DOUBT. When I uninstall EV Force and just use SkyForce, my FPS practically doubles, and everything looks good and runs smoothly. I've tested this multiple times and it's always true. If I could just use one of the REX products, which one should I use...SkyForce or Environment Force? My system is state of the art Jetline, and I have ZERO problems with P3d.…

I feel badly about the weather in Louisiana today, and certainly hope all ends well for the fine people in New Orleans. BUT I decided to fly from Tallahassee, Florida to MSY in New Orleans. It indeed was a wild ride as I approached Louisiana. The wind and rain were pounding as I descended into MSY from tropical storm Barry, and although I made a safe landing (737), it was pretty demanding, I must say. I really enjoy using Active Sky and EV Force combined with SkyForce to fly in P3d lately, and this was especially relevant today. That is what helps make flight simulation such an important product....and certainly not a GAME. Stan

For my airbusses (FSLabs and AS) I actually pay for 2 subscriptions; one to FS Aerodata and another to Navigraph FMS Data Manager, this is not very smart i guess ? Should 1 be OK ?

Hi, I have been using UT Live 1.1.1.0 for about a year now, no problems. I started to notice that it stopped injecting AI traffic a couple of days ago. The UTLiveclient.exe is running and I see UT Live in the add on menu. I did a de-install and install but this persists. Sometmes I open UT live.exe and when I shut UTlive.exe down soemtimes the AI aircraft start injecting just fine. But then when I restart P3D it goes back to not working. Does anyone have any ideas/hints why this is working sporadically? Thanks

Just downloaded it and tried it out, looks very nice. Make sure you updated both the Client and Content to 4.4 for the update to work properly.

Is anyone else having issues with FSDT products? For me all of the add-on's I have purchased reverted to TRIAL mode. I'm thinking this has to do with the move away from their e-commerce vendor. Any solutions? Kevin
