Hey guys, This is a prepar3d 4.5 specific question plus DCS question also. I am planning a hardware upgrade - Currently I have been using my old Thurstmaster Hotas X + keyboard + mouse with Prepar3d 4.5 (along with few birds from a2a, pmdg, majestic) - only fly payware aircraft 99% of the times. Will T.16000M FCS Flight pack be an excellent upgrade to fly those birds especially with Prepar3d 4.5 Joystick configuration and will this joystick be great on DCS also. I just got DCS 2 days ago, just blown away in VR with it. I am always Preparp3d first and then other simulators. Will T.1600M FCS Flight pack work well FSUIPC? Any other joystick comb…

Hi guys,,, Specs: i7 9700K 4.8Ghz, RTX2080, 16GB 3600Mhz. In quick takeoff's (TESTING's when installing a new addon) around the UK2000 Heathrow i was getting a 35 Fps with smoothness that make P3D flows like a water in heavy situation. I was really impressed. Today i decided to make a flight, not in a heavy senario, it was from Tunis zarzes (Aerosoft) to Malpensa (Aerosoft as well) untill i noticed a strange behavior, is that something pushing my fps back to 20s !!!!! Hello, I want the mouse yoke gone. Is there a way to completely disable so it never activates(I have already lobotomized the mouse yoke by removing its assignments)? If not I would like to remove it from the right click menu. I know that third party addons can add and remove items from it. Does anyone know where the file is that the menus are located it. I know, A2A Cub isn't meant for P3d and despite that, i bought it yesterday. It almost does the job (ok, fxs.cfg cannot be found) but it lacks the ability to fly with full throttle. If the motor is working (better check for the condition and overhaul it) on anything lower than full throttle, everything is ok, but the moment you go full throttle, motor breaks (and after 20+ seconds shuts down) and needs an overhaul (which can be done in the air??). Could this be happening because of the missing config file, where one property - max throttle, is missing? Has someone been able to overcome this and now flies without thinking where the throttle limit is?

I noticed yesterday that my Traffic360 AI traffic engine sounds were gone. I wonder what I installed that caused the sound to vanish? If I reinstall client, would this bring back AI engine sounds? I have been considering AIG AI, but old habits die hard. If I go that rout, will I have realistic engine sounds at the airports and not in the air? Aside from the poor AI textures, loud AI engine sounds while airborne was my only criticism of Traffic360 models. In a way I'm kind of happy that they are gone, but I'd like to know.

Due to some other reasons, it was necessary to reset my whole system. I cleaned up two SSD drives and reinstalled Windows 10 (1903) and P3Dv4.5HF from scratch. Then I installed ORBX Global, Vector, Landclass and all NA regions. I added Pilot's FTX Mesh (2018) and three ORBX airports for PNW (Orcas Island, Friday Harbor and Anacortes). I activated AIG Traffic and AI Ships Traffic (Henry Nielsen), both via xml method. Finally, I added Active Sky weather and A2As C172. That was it, nothing else. No Shader tweaks. No texture replacements (except FTX Global). No config tweaks. Flying around those three airports in cloudy weather with some fog was absolutely stunning and I…

I have this strange texture showing up in Lake Erie. It looks like missing water textures but only on parts of the lake. I have Ultimate Terrain X, FTX Global and Open LC. If I go into the UTX setting tool and turn off the water bodies, the whole lake looks like these block textures in the picture. So it is kind of like UTX is not working along the shoreline. I recognize not many folks use P3Dv4 Pro Plus. I still gotta ask... hoping to get an answer somewhere. I run P3D Pro Plus over 3 PCs, one as Host PC (runs P3D, ASP4) and two Client PCs (runs P3D only to render the outside-the-cockpit views, as directed by the host). The host does not render any outside views. Besides acting as the P3D host, it also runs Air Manager for the instrument panel. Regarding a weather engine, I'm using Active Sky for P3Dv4. It is on the Host PC. Regarding the use of 3rd party textures, I have REX SkyForce 3D and REX Texture Direct with Soft Clouds. There seems to be an autogen exclusion zone short left of the runway 20 threshold at Southampton when FTX EGHI Southampton and TrueEarth GB South are active at the same time. This is just outside the industrial area short of the runway (included in the airport scenery package). Is anyone else experiencing this?

I recently bought a new monitor and GPU. Monitor is "AOC 68,6 cm (27,0") Q2778VQE 2560x1440 1ms VGA DVI HDMI DisplayPort" and GPU is "RTX 2080Ti". Before I had a cheap 21" 1920x1080 monitor and a GTX970. I'm also using TrackIR all the time. Before, when I had lower FPS (like 30 and below), the looking around in VC with TrackIR (panning) was a bit jerky but nothing too distracting. I expected better experience with far superior hardware I got now. But there's one major problem that's frustrating me to no end. Since moving to P3D v4.4 and now v4.5 I have been experiencing very long loading times for scenery. This is a minor nuisance for initial scenery loading at startup, but is more of an issue flying into very detailed add-on airports like Fly Tampa CYYZ or Drezweicki KEWR (as examples) where I am experiencing very long pauses upon approach. Hello, I am having a real bad problem with Tearing/Ghosting (I dont know really which one is it.
