I've been flightsimming for several years. I've watched the progress of P3D and many addons. But I'm wondering if I'm the only one who seems to run into issues w/ the software. It's very possible that it's set/up operator error.... I'm not questioning performance - I'm lucky enough to have purchased my computer(s) from Jetline Systems and they are solid machines. I run a FDS Jetmax single seat 737 Sim w/ Simavionics software. I also network Pilot2ATC on a third computer. It took some learning to get everything set up - but all seems to work well. Once in a while I run into a glitch w/ P2ATC, but no ATC software is perfect. The Simavionic software is rock…

Hi all, Does anybody use FSAerodata here? I just reinstalled Prepar 3D V4.5, and uninstalled and re-installed FSAerodata, and I'm getting errors left and right relating to .net framework exceptions. I asked on their support forum, but it may also be related to the Prepar 3D reinstall somehow.

Hi Folks, This seems to have some interest - just wanted to start a thread on my little pet project improving the DA Piper Cheyenne for use in P3D... It's still a work in progress and taking a bit more time than I thought... I'm pretty limited on what I can accomplish... I have the GTN650 installed - replacing the Trimble with two caveats: For some reason you need to have the GPS/VLOC switch in VLOC when you load the plane otherwise the CDI on the HSI doesn't deflect with course guidance... Hi, Just wondering if there may be a solution to this. Since upgrading to 4.4 my start up time has massively increased in both getting to the selection screen and then loading to my start airport.This has increased by about 4 times. I've not added any scenery and i've already tried deleting the shader and p3d.cfg files. I've also upgraded my nvidia drivers to the latest version I have most of the orbx regions and global textures and vector installed, but these were present in 4.3 also. When i upgraded i did a new install but did not remove anything left after p3d had uninstalled.I then reinstalled p3d into the same directory so everything was…

In the simulator, there is only the now closed SEQU scene, can there be a free default scene for the new SEQM ?

I suffer from low altitude lag long pauses and I was was wanting to know so how to disable orbx scenery which I am not using without uninstalling? Is it just unticking the sceneries I am not using in the scenery indexes, rebuilding. I.e if I'm in Europe unticking socal and norcal, pnw etc as I'm not there? Have thought about doing the XML method Matt showed on one of his videos, so you just place the scenery I need to fly but that seems complicated

would anyone by any chance have an upload of the default prepar3d textures folder? I believe my skyforce textures are causing errors in the simulator and the backup skyforce has doesnt even have the default textures in it. Thanks, Caleb

Hi! I consider saving some SSD space on my PC. Can I remove all std. A/C in P3Dv4.5 HF without destroying my P3D? I never use standard A/C. Grateful for some good advise.

i recently installed Flight Beam wellington and to no avail have i been able to fix this issue where i ahve no runway or taxi way markings, everything else works there is just no runway or taxiway lines. any one else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Am shortly starting my CPL/H helicopter course at Sywell Aerodrome here in the UK. Due to that - I've given up fixed-wing in P3D and have switched to the challenge of flying helicopters! The general consensus appears to be that the DodoSim Bell 206 is the most realistic rotor available for FSX but is not yet available for P3D. I already have many of the excellent HoverControl.com heli's running well in P3D but the Dodosim example simulates a number of flight characteristics not found on other freeware heli's. Are any of you guys flying the Dodosim successfully in P3D? If so would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks Adam

Hi Mates, As I understand IvAp and vPilot are rather 'old' software for IVAO and VATSIM, to the point that for Ivap, for example, one needs to create a fake FSX alias to make Ivap works in P3D. Do you know why those software have not been updated and optimized for P3D? Are there plans to do so in the future?

Anyone else have this issue? Even back in my FS9 days it always felt like KIAD was just empty during the day. I have United AI traffic, Delta, AA and others etc from alpha india and all the regional airline traffic and it still feels empty. Its not an afcad issue because it feels relatively full at night but still not as busy as it should be. Ill land in the afternoon in the B gates and look down and see 20 empty gates with maybe one or 2 occupied by a heavy international jet. Airport just doesnt feel as busy during the day as it does in real life

Hey guys Sorry for bringing this up again, but I I don’t get it lol I am running P3d v4.5 hf1 with an I7 4790k at 4.7ghz now in process lasso I have cpu 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 i have unticked number 1 and been using that thus far. Shall I switch it on for 4.5 to use all cores? And where to put addons? I don’t use AM in cfg file. regards Michael

Hi Guys, I'm very confused with the setting up of YANG airport in Flukey`s Pilbara_FIFO_Airports. I managed to get all the elevations correct for all the other 5 airports, but cant get YANG or YCWA elevation correct? The following quote is from the read me notes, that have me confused as I don't know what files from where in AUSv2 I have to either copy or remove and place into the FIFO airports? "P3Dv4 users take the files from your P3Dv4\ORBX AUv2 folder and place in your ....\Prepar3D v4\Addon Scenery\Pilbara_FIFO_Airports\scenery install and overwrite". Kind Regards Brian (BJ from OZ)

Hi, I have a very big P3D. I think that because of this it is getting slow and want to restart / install. But how can I uninstall / cleanup all there is now the best / handy / quick way? Using uninstall from all the programs or windows control panel would be a big challenge. (Currently have 90 airports and a couple of Orbx Ftx product installed. And about 6 airplanes big and small.) Hi Mates, I'm flying the A2A C172 and here is what I do to set my Heading Indicator: 1. Pass the mouse over the Magnetic Compass 2. Thanks to the P3D tooltip function, read precisely the magnetic heading, in this case 196° 3. Set the Heading Indicator to 196° In the real world, as the pilot is not exacly right in front of the Magnetic Compass, how can he read precisely the magnetic heading? Is it possible to have a precision of 1%? If the reading error is 2,3° or more, the consequence for the flight path can be amplified and dramatic with time and distance?

Hello, I have KGPI from Orbx, but have the issue with the elevation being off around the runway and taxiway. I read a thread some time back that said to turn off a bgl file in the scenery/0201 folder. I did that and the texture improved, but the elevation issue remained. I then when into the control panel in FTX Central for the KGPI scenery and selected KFCA as the ICAO and the elevation issue seemed to be fixed. However, now GSX doesn't work as I get an error the GSX can't find file KGPI_ADEP4_GRJ.bgl. Has any one figured out the settings to make this airport work correctly? Hi everyone, back on flight sim after a long break. I am now using P3Dv4 in lieu of FSX. I am starting to build my add ons again so have just purchased ORBX and now I’m looking at weather. What REX product do you recommend? Rex 4 texture direct seems the best because it includes weather, clouds and even runways. The other newer ones don’t see to have all this just hoping someone can confirm which product is superior thanks!
