Hi please need some advise. have i7 6700K Intel Skylane pc 4.0 GHz to 4.2 GHz turbo 32 GB Ram, GTX 1080ti. Is it worth to overklock the CPU for better performance and up to what high can be Overclocked? 4.5 4.6 or 4.7 GHz? Please give me advise if it is worth for performance. Thank you in advance Geo

This morning I installed the new FTX Central from Orbx and it wiped me out. All I have left is a virgin P3Dv3 installation. I had every FTX-P3d scenery I had collected over the years and now they are all gone. Nothing Orbx or addon is left in my scenery library even though the new FTX Central says I have everything installed. All my custom keyboard and Saitek keys and controls wiped out. I don't think I have the energy or will to start all over again from scratch. I'm going to have to find a life beyond flight simming. Noel

Hi guys, I realize there is a similar thread just below, but I don't want to take up that user's thread. I'm considering switching from FSX:SE after coming back to simming with a new PC build. After looking at the system requirements I'm not 100% sure which version to go with the older 3 or the newer'ish 4. I think my new CPU is fine, Ryzen 3700X with an eventual upgrade to a higher core count 4xxx or if those move to a new socket then a discounted 16/32 thread 3950X next year. However I'm currently still running a 1070 SC from EVGA for graphics and the v4 specs mention "for example GTX 1080". Now, I do plan to upgrade the GPU within a year so I'm thinking V…

So I was flying to LEBL and it didn't look that great compared to other sceneries so I thought I would check if I have the latest version. I bought the Latin VFR version last year and I installed it but now I see that there are multiple versions and I don't know how to tell which version I have. If I check the P3D V4 folder it just says Latin VFR Barcelona. I could probably just uninstall it but I didn't want to go that route. I also had the old Aerosoft version but didn't pay the extra charge to update. For those that have the aerosoft version, do you like it better than Latin VFR (and Justsim too). Hi folks When i fly with the fslabs, and after finishing my flight, always i checked the appcrashviewer, i found it shows me that i have an error report of SOUND.dll of the fslabs A320, how could i fix that problem ?! Thx

Hi, Specs: i5 4690k @ stock 16gb DDR3 1866MHz GTX 1060 6GB Addons tested with: FTX Global, England, GB South UK2000 Gatwick PMDG 737NGX UTLive GSX, GSX Level 2 Basically my Prepar3D v4.3 crashes as the scenario loads giving me the "p3d ran out of memory" box. When I am monitoring the situation on task manager's resource manager, just before the crash the ram used is only on 10.3GB out of 15.9GB. The VRAM is also only at 5GB out of 6GB. The oom is sometimes followed by my entire screen going black and then turning a grey colour where music and things still continue in the background but the PC is unusable…

I've noticed this a few times recently - flying VFR, everything looks fine. But if I fly IFR, the runway and taxiways look normal, but where the grass should be is all black. And once you're airborne, the ground has a glow to it that illuminates through the clouds. It almost looks like the ground is burning. Anyone experience this? Could it be because I don't use Environment Force when flying IFR?

Hello, I've just purchased LEBL by Justsim and I have problems with VDGS and SODE Jetways. I'm not able to see any VDGS (Docking System) and I have two Jetways, the SODE ones and the default ones. Where is the mistake?

As the title suggests, I don’t seem to get the rain falling for long periods of time. It just goes on and off every couple of minutes. I wonder if it’s something to do with active sky, p3d or perhaps something with my setup.

Not sure what I can do to optimize my sim. But this is what I currently have. I run the sim in 4K single screen with a GTX 1080 FTW (8GB). So I'm not sure if I should turn on or off some of the options I have in here.

So I finally upgraded to P3D, but I decided to go with V3 so I wouldn't have to rebuy everything. Everything was fine until I tried to install it. The setup failed and I got an error 0fffffx7 or something like that. I have NET Framework 4.72 and I am running it as administrator. Still no luck. Does anyone have a solution? And I don't want any questions about why I didnt get v4. Thank you

So i had default gsx for a while and decided to upgrade to lvl 2, but so far nothing has changed. No animated passengers, no sode jetways. It says i have activated it. when i try to board, an error message shows up saying "no sode jetway docked. you will not see passengers visually. But cant i just use airstairs or something? Please help. thank you

When my captain and f/o tries to board the aircraft they literally come from heaven and when they land they are going moonwalk style backwards away from the plane, what the hell can i do? I have tried restarting everything 2 times now but it still does it. What to do? Thanks

My PC has two SSDs and one HDD. Though P3D is installed on an SSD, I hear a lot of HDD activity when at the end of the P3D starting process, just before it shows the main screen. Does anybody know if this means that P3D is using the HDD? If so, is there a way, other than removing the HDD, to have P3D exclusively use the SSD?

Hi all: Just heading to AVSIM to get help by people that had experienced connection to database errors when loading the TFDi B717. I had those errors before (in fact I've had trouble with this add-on since day one) and recently, after updating to its newest version I've got the same error again. The result is that no data can be displayed on the FMC and the aircraft cannot be properly flown. I've tried to repair the MS Access engine (both for 32 and 64 bits, as it seems the navdata for this aircraft is on a .mdb format), tried to tick the "alternate connection method" inside the TFDi's Addon Manager, and so far no luck. Hi all! I am currently debating between getting Aerosoft’s EGLL or EDDF for p3dv4. Both default airports are messed up so I could do either. Price is just about the same but I also want to be able to fly real world routes into the US mainly, I know EGLL would be better for this but FRA is probably better quality. I am going to get both airports I am just not sure which one to get first. Thank you! Simon S.

I am not sure what has happened on my PC, but.....all of my airport taxiway and runway lighting has vanished. This is across multiple airports from different developers. I noticed this problem at Digital Design Liverpool a few weeks ago, but I thought that it was something to do with that airport package. However, I have just noticed it at UK2000 Norwich Xtreme tonight, and a quick check of a few other airports has revealed the same problem......no lights!! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I have not installed or uninstalled anything (to the best of my knowledge) for some time.....

I just realized that there are two Tahiti and Society islands sceneries out there, both payware, both looking good. One is by Flightscene, over at Simmarket, the other is by FlightSimJewels, the same group that made the very ncie freeware Hawaii scenery. I have the FlightScene one, but am wondering how it compares to the FlightSimJewels scenery? These are not the same sceneries, right? The two products look similar, but I'm wondering which one is the better one. The FlightSimJewels version is currently discounted some 40% it seems, so if you guys think it's an improvement over the FlightScene one, I may get it. Hello to you all, I have just reinstalled P3Dv4 after significant mods to my C drive in order to fit it in. Just to clarify I have installed P3D into drive D/P3Dv4 (SSD) Because of very limited space on my C drive I do not want to install addons into Prepar3D v4 add-ons in the Documents folder on that drive. In essence, I would like to permanently delete that folder entirely but I do not know the process to get P3D to automatically put it into a Prepar3D v4 add-ons folder on a Drive H which is a 2TB HDD. If possible I would also like to install all my addon sceneries into a "Sceneries"??? folder on that drive as well. I think this could be achieved just by…
