Hi all, Yesterday I was flying from KVPS (Eglin AFB) to KSEM (Craig). I've been flying a lot in the KVPS area and at this time of the year, there are some thunderstorms but this is the first time I see such a black cloud. So I deverted to see the thing from close, thinking that such an opportunity does not happen everyday. Rain and lighting come into play. Once in the cloud, it is like any dense cloud. At last, I'm out and safe... ... resuming my navigation to KSEM. Guys, have you ever seen such a black cloud and so close to the ground? Is it a default P3D cloud or a REX Sky Force 3D cloud?

First my computer specs. i78700k OC 4.8 ghz. Nvidia RTX 2080 32 gb Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 3200mhz Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD. Dell monitor with GSync 2560x1440 @ 144hz I fly the FS Labs A319/320 exclusively for Prepar3d 4.5 It recommends using MSAA for anti aliasing which i’ve always done. Today, for fun I tried 8x SSAA. For some unknown reason it actually runs the sim smoother in all situations. I tried lower SSAA settings and there was no difference in smoothness or frames whether it was 2x or 8x SSAA. I understand the different Anti Aliasing techniques, and SSAA should tax the system more. Others have reported bad stuttering…

I'm currently using P3D v4. I don't have any sort of weather addons at all, and I feel like I'm missing out. From reading, everyone talks about Active Sky. Now, looking at their website, I'd need ASP4 for a weather engine, seen as though I'd like to fly in real time weather. But ASP4 doesn't include any textures, so I'd need ASCA for weather textures so clouds don't look ugly, right? So that's £50 for ASP4, and then another £20 for ASCA? Ouch, that's pricey. Could anyone confirm if this is correct?

I am wondering how many people use ChasePlane gimbal view. I recently turned it on and was kinda surprised. On the one hand it reminded me of riding my motorcycle - head is always level with the road and it leaves the instruments in view. On the other hand it really does rotate the scenery around and can be a bit disconcerting. Feels completely natural in the A2A Mustang. Not so much in a Baron. Maybe I can dial back "Anticipation"? Anyone else using it? Recommendations for fine-tuning?

Good day I cannot beleive that there are no heat shimmers in P3D whrn this is basic with X plane. Any idea if such an effect exists in P3D. This is a clear fault in P3D. Regards

Hi! i try to set up fsuipc ( and linda thereafter) in my prepar 3D Apparently i managed to set up FSUIPC ( also showed on addons menu, on prepar3D ) but when I set up linda, I receive in summary page under: flt sim/ FSUIPC configs in red “action required” with the further followup explanation “linda required a couple of lines to be added into FSUIPC4.INI file “ and I don’t know what to do next I don’t have the INI file available ( despite I have marked the option to show hidden files) any help? Hey guys, This will be a fun thread, I hoping some of the beta testers can drop some hints (again hoping here). Any ideas when HF2 is coming out or the next update for P3D. Everyone has been so quiet about it. I have a feeling that LM has to drop some HF2 or some update as Orbx Central testing found an issue with global textures that P3d is doing something wonky. Hi, Is there a way to change the seating Capacity on a livery by livery basis? For example, TUI's 757s a have a capacity of 221 (Economy Only) whilst say La Compagnie has a cpacity of 74 in Business. And also, Delta Airlines has 3 cabins for their 757s

I'm still waiting on Taxi2Gate to approve my request to join the forums for them, but thought I'd see if anyone here knew what was going on I purchased, download, and installed T2G LFPG and as I was going around the airport editing the parking positions for GSX, I noticed that the terminal buildings for terminals B and D sit too low. All other scenery including the SODE jetways that came with the scenery and the removed and replaced GSX SODE jetways all sit where they should be, but the terminals are too low. All other terminals, aprons, and other buildings and fixtures are correct. I do have ORBX Vector installed also and I have tried withe LFPG b…

Can someone help me please with getting Real World Scenery.com Florida working? I bought the whole set, directly from rewalworldscenery.com They come as four separate download packs, with each one labeled for the part of the state it covers e.g. RWS-FloridaCentral. For each part of the state, it downloads several .7z files that are 2 GB filesize each (the last one in each series is a bit smaller), plus an .exe file for that part of the state. When I tried to install each area using its accompanying .exe file, the executable does some extraction but only .bgl files, and puts them only in the main folder. It does not create the \scenery subfolder or the \texture s…

Hi, Does anyone have a fix for the 4 door varient of the CS757 for GSX level 2? I have the 5 Door varient fixed but not 4.

I have double jetways at the new ORD and I think it is because my DD ORD didn’t fully uninstall. My guess is there are still files left over from DD. Since there is no uninstall, how can I ensure everything is fully deleted from DD to avoid duplicate scenery?

Hey Guys. Looking for some help. Just bought and installed Chaseplane. Awesome. However I now have a problem. I can't transmit on Vpilot. I can tune to frequencies in various airplanes and hear talking. But I can no longer transmit. They can't hear me and Vpilot doesn't indicate I am transmitting. Also tried changing the push to talk button to something else. But still no luck. Any ideas?

I tried to use PFPX, correctly (I think) setting up the aircraft as an MD-82. I got some really odd fuel results with PFPX showing requirement of 33,000 lbs but the Maddog planner was more like 14,000 lbs. Anyone else using PFPX and have you been able to get the numbers to be similar to the planner and if so how have you done it ? Is there a typical load that you can share for say a full aircraft (number of pax plus cargo). and 75% full ? I seem to be loading with very few pax when I am sure they are filling these planes with 125 pax on a regular basis. thanks,

Hello, has anybody heard something from IRIS Simulations? They completely off any communication since April or May without any explanation. The realease of P3D v4 was completely uncommented by IRIS so I do wonder what I could do with my IRIS aircraft to make them work there...? Does anybody know something? many thanks

Hey everyone, its Friday!!!!!!! I typically fly with no ai aircraft, however Im starting to get bored of the emptiness, back in the fs9 days I use to use WOAI however that was years and years ago...I’m looking to get a bit of traffic in the skies. I’m not really interested in online flying so was wondering after what is available out there for AI in P3D? Again I’m out of the loop as it’s been years and years since using any AI. As a note, Id rather stay away from having to manually install and make entries, looking for something simple where once installed with a couple clicks of the mouse I can then choose the amount of traffic I’m looking for and fly..so…

I'm a sucker for historic aircraft, especially maneuverable biplanes, so I really want a biplane or two. And a cool bush plane, that can get off the ground quick and stop quickly is something on my list. What about commercial airliners with a fully modeled passenger cabin? I just bought the FSLabs A320 and would like something cheaper and a little less hardcore (for a quick, relaxing A-to-B flight), that would give me a window view, and give me some views of the passenger cabin. I'm sort of interested in something by Captain Sim. What about weird aircraft, like VTOLs, experimental aircraft and ultralights? What about vehicles that aren't aircraft at all?

Hi, please some help me with a problem in mouse wheel.While pressing mouse wheel to move the view in the virtual cockpit, it seems like is not smooth at all.It seems something conflicting and reacts very strange. Also while pressing wheel and right button to bring the captains view, the mouse pointer appears on the end right side of the main monitor.Please help meThank you,Georgios
