hello, i have recently lost all my ATC centers. while researching i discovered that my scenery.cfg file is missing the "scenery/world/scenery" entry. it has always been the first entry. i know that ORBX projects replaces a lot of these textures. my question (before i start messing with my scenery file) is; does the scenery.cfg file still need the "scenery/world" entry if you have the ORBX projects installed thanks in advance

Good day this should be a quick fix from anyone as I already spent 2 days with no success , read lots of posts here on this subject but not sure why it is not working for me shift + z to view my frame rate . Tried all options maping key assignment did not work , checked my config file under app data same as other posts , ran repair to p3d content and library still no luck . I need to see my frame rates to adjust my sliders properly . I appreciate if anyone has a solution rather than deleting prepar3d and reinstalling best Regards Amr Guindy

Does a decent “Study-Level” C-17 exist for P3D currently? Looking for a fully functional VC pit with accurate start up procedures and realistic flight physics and modeling.... Are there any decent recommendations? Thanks!

What I want to read on this forum, after reading all the responses to ORBX's new update is this: "ORBX new 14 update is NOW FIXED". What that means is that if I update from FTX Central 3 to the latest update that all I have to do it click on the update and everything will be OK. No problems, and no issues with scenery placements in the library. I'm reading about success stories and horror stories. Is it now fixed, or isn't it? Stan

I am trying to contact SODE,sent e-mails, posted on their forum no response. Only chance I have as always is AVSIM, Here is my problem: "This is my third year trying to utilize SODE for KEWR. NO successes, I keep utilizing GTX without SODE. This year I think I found the problem. 1- I think, SODE doesn’t have P3D KEWR File instead off “ DRZEWIECKI DESIGN - NY AIRPORTS V2 X : KEWR, KLDJ, KCDW FSX P3D” is the KEWR Airport folder. I fly more in DCS now and am simplifying my P3d install and I'm about to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10 and am opting to install v4.5, is there anything I need to know? I seem to remember when it was released, there were some who complained about poor performance. I am assuming this has been addressed with the since released update(?) I'm just trying to get a feel from those who have gone from v4.4 as I would be doing.

I've recently got myself a new Skylake-X cpu to replace my 3930k which had served me very well for the past 6 years and it comes with that turbo boost 3.0 thing that I think the previous generation (Broadwell-E) also has. Now I'm trying to figure out if and how this should be used in conjunction with the affinity mask setting set for the sim. Intel has this utility to set it up but I'm not sure what it does exactly as I haven't found any proper guide on how to use it. When I'm fling at cruise, I have frame rate set to 30. Then out of the blue it will drop to below 7 fps and sometimes 0.5 fps. This last for 5-15 seconds. Then back up to 30. This usually happens in the eastern part of the USA. The west coast and mid west hardly at all. I'm usually flying my PMDG, or some of my bigger planes. When it happens, I'm out in the middle of nowhere at 30000 +. I have a Ryzen 7 2700, 32 gigs ram, a Nvidia 1060 video card with 6 gigs, and windows 10 pro 64bit. I'm using P3D v4.5 pro. I don't know why the east coast has the most drops. I might try some of my small planes around the east coast to see if it's as bad as the larger ones.

I have a big problem now that just seemed to pop up. I use super traffic board to watch ai planes and when I select an aircraft to watch, the game crashes. But it's not all the time and not at all airports. I even have the crash when I select shift A to in the game to see the next ai plane. I thought it may be a memory or performance thing but my memory never went above 31 percent and my cpu was fine. I am not technical but that's what I saw in the task manager. At this point I am excited if I get to watch a full flight without the game crashing. I would appreciate any advice on this, thanks.

Hi Folks - Firstly let me apologise if this has been discussed elsewhere, I couldn't find the same situation. So, I have P3d 4.3 with quite a few addons, Orbx sceneries, aircraft, PSX, real traffic, etc .. but stupidly I installed everything on my SSD - which is now full! My D drive still has tons of room free (over 1.5tb). If I uninstall everything and download from LM site, would that be the latest version? I think its 4.5? Also, as far as the uninstall goes, is it just a case of working through each addon and P3D - uninstalling the lot? Then redownloading and installing on my D drive? Hello simmers, I started to be bugged by the annoying right click, it has very low uses for me and I would like to remove or more preferably assign it to a keyboard button. is it possible? I use chaseplane and my mouse wheel acts like a trim wheel when app or dep; so I need to assign a new heading or alt or anything else with mouse clicks but this window keeps appearing and annoying me. Hi .... here's a curious one .... all of a sudden on certain of the planes in my hangar, i am being treated to a pitch call-out which at the end of the take-off roll, runs: 'Pulling stick' the which is followed by '4degrees pitch/5 degrees/6 degrees/' etc .... in some cases stopping when level flight reached, in others continuing ad infinitum ... Obviously I ask myself what I might have added recently and come up with 1) latest version EditVoicePack and 2) beta copy Milviz KA 350i .... have checked with Lars at the former and checked the sound folder in the 350i simobjects entry, the sound folder at root, and not anything either recognized by Lars or found…

I just did a new build and am finishing up the painstaking process reinstalling the dozens of add ons for P3D 4.5. It's been so long since I did my last install on my previous system, I forgot what I had all of the graphic settings set to. I have most ORBX products and generally fly PMDG and QW. Flytampa airports, FSDT, etc etc. Active sky, ASCA. and on and on. Asus Z390 ROG Formula, i9-9900k, RTX2080ti, 32gb DDR3200. Also got a new monitor - BenQ PD3200U 4k. I would like to run everything as close to max settings as possible, but I am not sure about some of the settings. Can someone give some recommendations? Also, what about CFG edits?

I have been on the fence whether to buy this aircraft or not. I see a lot of forums where people ask if they should buy this aircraft but i didn't really find the answer on YouTube or in any forum. So is it worth it considering its the only A340 available for P3D V4? What would be the pros and cons? Thanks (Not looking to buy the A330 from Black Box as we have aerosoft on the task)

Just curious, does gsx allow for a single air stair to be used? All the screenshots i see have a stair truck at every exit. It's my understanding that this can be disabled via a "no rear airstair" checkbox..does this literally just get rid of the rear..or all but the front airstair..(if like on an L1011 where it has mid body exits) bit of an odd question but im wanting the ability for one airliner in particular to have a stair truck at the front exit. Seems like gsx has alot of neat features so i may end up just purchasing gsx anyway. Also..would this be in the base pack or do i need to purchase L2 as well? Does the flight recorder in P3Dv4.5 work? Every time I try to use it to record a portion of a flight then play the recording back the plane just slowly circles and descends until in hits the ground. The recording has the correct weather and scenery but the actual flight path differs significantly from what the recording shows. Does it work or am I doing it wrong?

I am running in 4K with a GTX 1080 FTW card... and have a few questions regarding the graphic settings... 1) Water settings, I currently have set to ULTRA, and I have the global world ships AI package, if I want the ships to reflect their lights into the water, do I need to enable 'sim objects' under the water settings? I've installed the new KATL version. First I used it with P3dv4.4, and yesterday I updated to P3d4.5. Things haven't changed I'm afraid. On approach Rwy 26L to KATL I usually get 2 CTDs. The first when I'm near the airport flying the left downwind leg at about 8000ft, the next when I'm facing the airport at about 3000ft. Before I did e.g. a flight from KATL to KMSY (maddog, LatinVFR) or KATL to KLAS (CS757, Flytampa) without any problems. The CTDs only occur flying back on approach to KATL. Good evening, I'm experiencing a weird issue with clouds in P3D v4.5 with hotfix. Look at the screenshot. I have to say it's not like this all the time, it looks like it happens only with a specific type of clouds. I'm using Active Sky for P3D as a weather engine and REX Sky Force 3D. Any ideas?
