Hi, So, I have a pretty beefy system (even though it is few years old) - i7-5820K OC 4.5Ghz with 2070-Super and with 16GB DDR4 Ram - running on 4K Does Prepar3d 4.5HF1 do something strange with Autogen Draw Distance? if I just increase this slider from default medium to High - I lose around 10 fps approx right of the bat - this is even with Trees and Buildings set to Normal (default values). Now if Leave Auto gen Draw Distance to default and load up (pretty much maximize it) the trees and building autogen, My FPS drop is hardly noticeable. Could the issues be related that I am on 4K resolution? This is with No addons - running…

Hi everybody, I use Active Sky and very often the METAR reports: Visibility 10+ SM (9999+ m) But in reality, in my GA aircraft, under 10 000 ft, I have much less visibility. I know aviation is not an exact science but the difference between what is reported and what I see is huge. What do you think?

As the subject says. How are these planes? In particular, I am mostly interested in the flight models. Everything else I have for GA is pretty much A2A. If the Milviz flight model (and ground/water/snow model) is top notch then I might be interested in one. I am secretly hoping that A2A adds a little umph to their Cub during the P3D refresh for it (i.e. perhaps giving some engine options and or high lift kits, etc). Any input is appreciated.

First I have heard of inibuilds as apparently I've been living under a rock. Is this a simple drop the file into a folder and it's good to go for the dynamic lights and jetways? Do you have to go into the GSX UI in-sim to activate the jetways? I've never messed with the jetways in GSX as frankly it's a little difficult for me to understand how you do that. I'm confused on how you get things working with it. Any help appreciated, thank you

I fly P3D in Window mode, not full screen. Off course I'm joking about the Green Flightsimming title but out of curiosity when flying long-hauls and while being away from the PC I have tried minimizing P3D in the taskbar to check the differences. First of all, I never encountered any problems in add on aircraft software by flying this way in the en route section. What I want to emphasize here is that what I observed is what I suspected. When the P3D window is minimized the GPU temperatures, CPU load etc. lower significantly. Below are the numbers of both minimized and full view cases for comparison in a 30*C room. After years of successfully using F1 GTN, and months using it on P3D perfectly, suddenly yesterday I fired up my RealAir Turbine Duke and the GTN gauges just stayed black after power on. I tried other RealAir planes. Same thing. So I restarted P3D, then the GTNs immediately worked perfectly immediately and for a multi-hour flight. Today I just fired up P3D and the Duke Turbine again, and yet again the GTN's don't boot. I restarted the sim again several times. GTN refuses to start up. I'm on P3D 4.5+HF and GTN Complete 2.10. Anyone found a fix for this? It's rather a show-stopper. And yes, I have all my P3D folders and addon folders excluded from …

I've been noticing some nice sceneries in the Carribean. Tropicalsim and Richer Simulations have been creating/updating some sceneries. Notably Tropicalsim: Antigua Curacao Richer Simulations: Barbados St. Kitts Add these to the list of airports by FlyTampa, Dreamflight Studios, and LatinVFR TJSJ. Granted, there's a lot of ugly airports in the area but, here's hoping they too get much needed facelifts. Things are looking up and these are great destinations on the way to South America as well!

I've clicked on the add in the top right but before buying, I've spent two days trying to find the difference between the AS A318/A319 and A320/A321 for P3D and just can't find it. All I find is the difference between Fslabs or the Xtended versions. What I would like to know is the difference between the package. Because of the bundle offer, is the technology of both packages the same, or is the A320/A321 just a newer update of the A318/319 ? or is it just the length and passenger capacity and range of the aircraft. In P3D do both packages have the same performance, same engine ect... If you have the A320 why would you want the A318 for example ?

Very recently I have been having lots of game crashes and I have not had those before. I have no idea what is causing it and I don't want to reinstall everything that I have. I was wondering if there is a tool that lets me know what caused the crash. That way I could pinpoint the problems more accurately. When the game crashes it doesn't give any kind of message or code, It just says P3D has stopped working. Sometimes I can fly all day with no problem and sometimes I can fly for 20 minutes. Very annoying so I would appreciate any help, thanks.

Hello SimFriends, Since a few days i noticed a strange graphical issue at my home Airport EDDM. I will post some Screenshots that i made. I flew for the test with a random A/C Raptor F22 I Figured it out as rising highway barriers and airport fences when i change my view angle. dont know whether if it is something with afcad bgl. ORBX vector. or scenery Airport addon. Hello Folks; So I am finally thinking of taking the plunge to P3D V4, and had a few questions, and hoping that I can get some help before purchasing it. 1. Do you have to pay and or purchase upgrades i.e when (and I am assuming it will) new versions are released (v5)? How often do they normally come out with updates? 2. Will it run fine on Win 7 or do I have to upgrade to 10 to perform the way it should? I am currently running Win 7 and don’t intend to upgrade until I purchase a new rig a year from now. I few things to know is with FSX and all my add-ons I never never get OOM, since I carefully tweak my settings so I do get a smooth flight …

Hi everybody, I have Active Sky and OrbX products and usually I fly real time weather. I've just noticed that besides the default weather themes, there are also: ActiveSky weather theme Orbx Weather 1 Orbx Weather 2 ... Do they have something special? I am amazed that Active Sky and Orbx offer some offline weather themes?

Hey Guys. I am new to P3dV4. Noticed during a VATSIM flight that AI traffic is still present when I look out the cockpit or in the FSTramp navigation program. In FS9 AI tfc was automatically disabled. Is there a way to do this in P3D?

Hi, using dynamic lights in p3d. The Dynamic lights is selected in the p3d lights menu, with no problem in performance as long as at the apron. Taxiing to the runway and as long as the landing lights are off no problem FPS 30-35 with PMDG 737 NGX. Turning ON lights for take off FPS drops to 10-14 FPS Any advise please? Any help? Giorgos

The "October" update just crapped onto my machine late last week. P3Dv4.4 was running fine until then. Since then I've experienced the flickering screen reported by others on this forum. Setting vsync On and triple buffering in the P3D config helps slightly but does not eliminate it. I tried rolling back to P3Dv4.3 and the flickering was still present. At this point I'm seriously considering rolling back to Win10 1803 unless someone here has found a better solution. BTW, my gpu is Geforce 1080ti. [Also posted on ORBX Forum] Hi! I just moved to P3DV4.1, from FSX. I installed P3DV4 on my D drive(Not C: drive where my FSX is), and later I moved it to my own map D:/P3DV4 inside the D drive. But now if I download ORBX products I have to manually drag the from D: to D:/P3DV4 folder. When I run Vector Configurator, it can't find any airports in cfg, so when I start a flight I have ex. both ENGM payware scenery and FTX Norway scenery showing. The only thing I can do to fix it, is go to scenery library and move Aerosoft Oslo over FTX Norway(And that's so unnecessary, every time). Hi there, I noticed that on the FLAi website, it says that it is not completely compatible with P3d V4. That being said, I have been using it for a few months, and just after I installed FlyTampa Copenhagen, I have gotten CTD's with the traffic on. However, when traffic is off, the sim works fine. I am assuming that the AI has something to do with it. Does anyone recommend something other than FLAI? Thanks

Hi, I recently purchased FSUIPC to be able to bind me Joystick to different functions, but im struggling to find some of the actions such as: engine start switch, apu start, idle cutoff.

I ran into an issue landing at SCIP last night; wondering if anybody else has experienced this: On final approach (Captain Sim 757), all is fine and stable, until crossing the fence/runway threshold. Then, just as I'm preparing to flare and cut the throttles, the aircraft suddenly drops 50-100' onto the runway (well short of the TDZ) for a 600-700 fpm landing. Hi all. Firstly P3d is a great product, which I have been using for 3 years now. I have done a clean install of windows 10. Entered license info into p3d downloads and i get option to download version 3.4.22.19868 This was version I originally purchased a few years back. Before removing P3d and doing a clean install of WIN10 was running v4.5 with no issues. I am confused as to why we only get the version we originally purchased in our downloads? Why not the latest version? Does this mean I download v3 then update client etc to get to v4.5 again? I assumed I could download latest P3d version so it was also a nice clean install? Thanks

uHello, I do have problems with the autogen around the airports from justsim, especially LTAI, LGIR or EBBR. There are buildings but no trees. I thougt there were a Justsim Library installer in the past available but i can't find a download now. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!!
