After successfully installing and operating PMDG's NGX in P3D version 1.2, I deleted the file,installed Ver 1.3 and recopied the PMDG NGX files to the upgraded version. Now I am unable to load and execute the NGX files without error. Realair files still load and operate without problems. Has anyone successfully installed, loaded and operated the NGX in version 1.3?

Starting to get back into flying so I am going to re do my office and have purchased items for FSX. Hi,I join the Orbx forums and became a big fan, buying 30 of their products. Up to now I have clocked up 1,836 replies/posts and got to know many good/nice people over there. Many around the same age as myself (49).I was thinking of moving over to P3D but after reading JV statement that there SBSL (side by side license) for their products will be a set price per product, £4.50 per product. One I have only cost £10 to start with.There a business and need to make money, I have my own so a totally understand that, but there SBSL is doing very little more than just letting P3D read the files from FSX, the very same files I have already bought.£4.50 x 30 =£135.00 This is way o…

Been reading bits and snippits of P3D. Thought a thread of P3D with Orbx as a review or commentary would be nice. Some focus on it by users and the benefits it is endowed with. Any tweaking necessary, textures popping up, frame fates etc, issues we all have with FSX, does P3D fix that? FSX tweaking has me worn out. P3d the same? Any pros or cons, thus the community has greater insight and encouragement to switch. I have not switched yet, so I am looking for a reasonable excuse to do so. Hopefully this thread will provide information for fence sitters like myself.

What is your take on the Academic License? from what I read it seems to be a consumer product!!

Harvey (S43) seem to a smaller airport but sure as hell my machine take a nose dive whenever I got to Harvey. It seem this "little" airport really has some stuff that is bringing my machine to a grinding halt.. I have a a middle class machine. To be able to land without a slide show at Harvey, I really have to deselect ALL stuff from Harvey and still harvey is only in the low 10's. Anyone else notice that Harvey is quite heavy on FPS..!!

Can anybody please help,i ported my Malibu to P3D,and it loads ok until i click on the g500 ENT button,it crashes the sim any body any ideas have i missed something here. After a littlle rocky start,i read forums to cprrect certain things and now P3D is getting incredible so much smoother than that other one lol

I'm asking this here because so far this is happening with non-default airplanes and some other addons like orbx etc installed and respecting Lockheeds support system by not cluttering up their forum with something they can't technically help me out with since they only want issues w/ addon free installations. Has anyone been having issues with aircraft just shutting off after making a change in the menus at all? It's a coming and going issue with my install. I'm down to two entire addon planes because hardly any of Caredanos work right. It's happened with the Centurion, both Dukes and the C340.. Hello have been flying with Prepar 3d and finding it very good . every thing maxed and i set 4096 textures AA set in P3d , looks very good ,frames around average 40/50 ,.I have applied no tweaks using it as it came,I still seem to have the autogen loading as I fly (same as Fsx),but it is very smooth and the display faults I had with fsx are gone! ,If I start trying to tweak is there any thing to gain ,how much will using Nv inspector improve things ?,I am confused, I run a i2700k @4.6 ,asus 570 graphic card ,16 gb corsair ram. and it seems that poeple are stating at that spec no tweaking is required,yet others seem to tweak all the time regardless of system spec ,is t…

Hi All, OK - I've been to the LM site and read a few posts... I'm still a bit lost here... What is Prepar3d ??? Is it a new Flight Sim ??? Is it the wave of the future with a serious potential to de-throne MSFS ??? Is it stand alone - or - does it need FS9/FSX installed ??? What advantages does it offer over the traditional MSFS ??? Are the flight dynamics better modeled in a more realistic manner ??? I guess MSFS file need to be modified to run in Prepar3d ??? Is there a list of programs that will work with Prepar3d ??? I have all of the NA regions, and every NA airport that interests me. I've also got NZSI, but still haven't installed it despite having it for several months now. I admit it - I like to fly the places I know and love, and I've struggled with the idea of flying out of NA. But now with nothing more available in NA... I'm tempted to encourage myself to move south by taking advantage of the sale and picking up all of Australia, hoping that'd also get the juices flowing for NZ. But I'd also want to get a select few (3-4) airports to add interest and I'm completely clueless about the region and what airports would fit my flying preferences. I'm not a bush pilot, but no…

Hi Guys Just after an opinion please!! I am eyeing up KBVS Skagit Regional. I already have Concrete , Darrington and KORS and KBVS Skagit Regional looks like a good geographic location to buy a airport in. But my quesiton is how is the performance. Is it equal to or less than KORS, if so I would not buy it as I rarely go to KORS because peformance is less than Darrington and Concrete. Would be interested to hear you opinion on performance of KBVS Skagit Regional or if you can suggest any good performing airports in the vacinity of Darrington, Concrete etc, Thanks in advance

Here is a simple poll I would like to start, just to see how many are really supporting P3D.I just bought the 50$ license. Seriously, 38€ is something I give out for a good evening dinner in an restaurant... I might just as well support them. Gonna install beside FSX and just observe. And maybe here and there play with it... definitely install FSDT airports and GSX in it though!

Hi guys,I am using P3D with and without PNW demo... for some reaosn it wont let me adjust the visibility settings to say 20miles... always defaults back to unlimited! I can use the weather themes but for my slower pc laptop i need to redcue the vis to a more realistic setting...Anyone have any ideas how to fix?Thansk guysDoug

Wasn't going to buy anymore PNW airports but can't resist the temptation to buy one or two more. I have 3 airports (Israels' Farm, Concrete and Orcas).Darrington is a given but I was thinking about some others particularly Diamond Point. However since I have a low spec PC I dont want anything that would strain the resources more than Concrete (which runs okay to fine on my PC). Saw some comments about Jefferson being a rather nice airport. Harvey is another I might consider. Is the FPS for these three airports comparable to Concrete? I know hard to tell with different spec machines etc but just want some sort indication before buying. Are there must haves? ..or a…

hey guys, i just installed PAKT and when i spawn a plane there it goes instantly to a "crash" screen, Also when i try landing a plane about 20-30 feet above the runway it will say i crashed...any got any ideas? Thanks, Zack

I tried V 1.2 to check out the changes to simconnect and I remember that I didn't think p3d performed as well FPS wise compared to FSX. The project didn't go ahead at the time and my developer license lapsed. I have another project so I have installed p3d again with v1.3. I am getting similar results. For testing I am running at 1920x1080 with both sims set comparably. At the default p3d airport I get ~21fps sitting there. In fsx at that airport it's around 38-45. I normally limit it to 30 but as p3d isn't hitting that I removed the limit to see where each was going. I am using a 6970 , i5 @4.5 gigs, 8 gigs ram running off a SSD. Any advise? Obviou…
