Check out what PMDG's Robert has to say about PMDG and P3D (and P3D in general):http://forum.avsim.n...ew-other-items/(Search for 'PMDG Development for Prepar3d').Makes you want to think again before spending money on side-by-side-licenses from other developers (and P3D itself, obviously). Since a lot of people think about PMDG when they say 'fight sim', this might well mean the end for consumer interest in P3D...?

Hi All,Was inspired to come back to FSX after trying Flight, researched add on's and products since I was gone and was very enthused to find ORBX, purchased N. Rockies (where I live) but ran into install issues.1) The configuator on install and FTX Central after initial install run into errors that kill / hang the installation.2) have had some dialog with ORBX support but as of now, no solution.3) I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall of fsx followed by ORBX N. Rockies but get the same results, so have tried that step.4) Have deleted all .off files from the scenery library, which apparently has caused FTX central to error out for others, no luck with that.5) Here…

When switching from default to North America in FTX Central, it's not changing the NRM and CRM elevation adjustment bgl's from "OFF" to "BGL". Therefore all those airports have an elevation problem. Anyone else encounter this issue? I've tried installing the latest library, again. PNW and PFJ bgl's are fine. Thanks,Todd

Hi everyone,The system defaults to only showing the threads that have been recently updated. When you enter this forum, before you click on a post, you will see a number of options in the blue bar right above the threads. The setting called "custom" will fix that.Kind regards,

I had a number of ships and cruise ships in PNW, but after updating Jefferson County and then reinstalling the PNW patch and libraries, they have disappeared. The ferries, boat traffic etc are still there , but the big guys must have hit an island and sunk somewhere. I don't remember how I even got them there to begin with. Any ideas?Kind regards,

Sorry but I have to start this by saying this got me banned. It was made clear that the price for a SBSL would be £XXX per product.Today this"Available immediately from the Flightsimstore is the Side-by-Side License (SBSL) for FTX Australia SP4. This license will activate all four AU regions in Prepar3D (AU BLUE/GOLD/GREEN/RED) and will also activate YSCH Coffs Harbour and YMAV Avalon Airport if you have them installed in FSX.If you do not own all FTX AU regions the SBSL installer will only activate those regions which are installed. You may purchase individual AU regions for FSX if you desire, and then re-run the SBSL installer and those new regions will also be activate…

Is anyone having trouble getting support from ORBX? I just purchased/installed NA Blu and something isn't working correctly. So I tried to create an account and get some support from their forums, but couldn't successfully create an account. I find no email or phone number for them, so does anyone here know how to reach them to get some help? Thanks!Dewey

It's incredible that the release of A2A's Accu-Feel hasn't been mentioned on the Orbx forum. The mind boggles! Keep your heads down boys!

I purchased and installed NA Blu. It isn't working properly. So I created an account on the ORBX Forums to seek assistance. The system would not let me log onto my account, so I could not access the ORBX forums. However, it did register my email on the ORBX system. I can't delete my account and start over because I have to log onto my account in order to do that. I can't create a new account because the ORBX system says that my email is already taken. If anyone here has past experience with such things and can give me some advice on how to either get answers from ORBX on the account I just created, or can tell me how to delete it and set up a new one. Thanks to all …

Hey Mates,What do you think if we have a teamspeak for members who frequent this forum. We could just chat, or fly together or talk about anything at all. It seems to me that it might be a real suppliment for our community to bond friendships together and create opportunities for fun, walking members through computer repairs and rebuilds and generally just have fun. It could also serve as the basis of UOXFC, the Unofficial ORBX Flying Club. What say you boys and girls?Kind regards,

This has been an age old problem with my FTX install and I've never followed up on if a fix is out there for it. When flying in default areas when FTX NA is enabled, I get corrupted/misplaced rooftop textures. The textures on top of most flat roof commercial type buildings displays what looks like the side arches of residential dwellings. When I disable FTX, the problem goes away. I also have GEX, so it could have something to do with those two not playing nice together.I'll try and grab a screenshot later if no one is sure what I'm talking about.

My thoughts as Forum ModeratorThese are my own personal thoughts and have no official status. But since I am the moderator of this forum, and many do not know me, or of me, it is only fair that I let you know how I hope to do my job. First, I love the ORBX products, and own dozens of them. Because of that I think that it is an excellent idea that AVSIM provide this unofficial ORBX support forum that is independent of ORBX itself for purposes that include those outlined below. Again, these statements are my own, and have no official sanction, but are merely a statement of my beliefs and moderating intentions. Rightfully so, my duties and authority are held in trust and is …

Hello.I have bought PNW and Pacific Fjord from ORBX and like them both very much.I haven't found any test of the New Zealand south so far, so would like to know if you'll recommended it ?How would you compare it to PNW and PFJ ?Is it a good place for bush flying or at least GA plane (i.e. not too fast and quiet low) ?Thanks in advance,Bushido

When flying from Arlington Mun to Anacortes I do get the following 3 missing library fileson the attached GPS you can see whereabout I do get them.I only have ORBX stuff installed. In this area I have anacortes installed but not skagit. so I guess it is a missing file at anacortes. If I find the culprit I will let you guys know.PLEASE NOTE:remember that you might not get this message unless you have added the entry below to your FSX.cfgThe entry I am talking about is under the [scenery] sectionMissingLibraryAlert=1if you havent added that entry then you just would not know about missing library files and then you will think everything is OK, when in reality there is a prob…

Here is soomething John from Lockheed Martin wrote to someone asking about FDE."The specific third-party addons suggested work with Prepar3D. We also suggest the SDK to look at the Flight Model SDK and other environment variables to assist in determining the characteristics of the R-22 that you require. There is also a new feature included in SimConnect called "ExternalSim". This allows the internal flight model to be decoupled and an external flight model to be used to drive the simulator. This allows high fidelity flight models to be used instead of the ones that ship with Prepar3D. The neat thing is that rather than fight any real or perceived limitations with the ship…
