Hello folks, Thought I have install and transfer of SimObjects down pat with several aircraft installed and all working well. I installed the Lionheart Kodiak Quest - The installer let me point to the P3D folder for install. All went well. I also checked the .xml files in fsx to make sure I hadn't missed anything, as well as fonts, guages, sounds etc. All were well. Here's my problem...............when I go to choose the Kodiak, the Kodiak is there, however there are NO thumbnails, just the Prepar3D Logo...........I have looked back at FSX and all is in the same place in the Sim Objects as is in the P3D Sim Objects Folder... .The show up fine in FSX when choosin…

Hey guys I couldn't resist the opportunity to get P3d with the new license, my cousin is interested in learning to fly. After some initial setup and testing, adding a few tweaks, sceneries and planes I can honestly say I am absolutely in love with the sim. My frames are high and the sim is so smooth it's like butter. Flying the RV-9 from Baytower feels alot like X-plane (which is a complement). I decided to limit my addons and associated programs to keep the install lean, so alot of my addon airports won't be going in unless I want to make a specific flight. Hello folks, After a couple of weeks use, I am finding P3D very good - After years of FSX use, I always fly in Full Screen Mode - (for me) better frame rates and I don't like Windowed Mode that shows the top of screen? In any event, P3D installed and is working very well with the following exceptions: Full Screen Mode: 1. If I activate the ATC / or / it's activated auto., it comes up dead middle of screen. I then move it to upper left, however the ATC Window leaves image trails like shuffling cards. After a few seconds, they will leave. I can cancel/close the ATC window, but when activated, it's dead center of screen. 2. I have noticed that several functions,…

Hi all,One Airport that I am missing that fits in with the Orbx scenery is Vancouver. I would like to get one and I seem to have read somewhere that Holger had a hand in creating a terrific version. I thought that I would post the request for assistance in locating that airport here, just in case the non-comp clause rears it ugly head in the Orbx forum. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Was there not a freeware lighthouse package that came out to work in conjunction with PNW?

I mainly fly helicoptes in FSX. It is my understanding that P3D doesn't have helicopters as part of its program. Has anyone loaded some helis into P3D and flown? Has anyone flown on the Hovercontrol server with a heli using P3D? Thanks Danny

Hello folks, Been using P3D for about two weeks and really like the program. Other than having to sim in windowed mode, I only have one issue. My ATC window pops up "dead center" of my flying screen. I can move it to upper right, close it, but very next time it opens in the same awkward place. Also, is it normal to hear atc talking to you before atc opens? If not, mine does. I don't remembering FSX ATC operating this way. You could resize it, place it wherever you wanted and it would stay. It would open first, then ATC would give you instructions and at same time the text would show up in window. I have found when the P3D ATC is open, you must click off of it b…

Hey guys, I got a copy of P3d and have been very pleased with the results thus far. Most of my favorite aircraft and airports are working more or less. I want to add some better traffic, but I am making a lean install that's geographically limited and thought I would install some woai traffic instead of a total 5gb traffic program that has movements I'll never see. Does anyone know if the standard woai stuff works?

Hi all This is not an attempt to stir up trouble or anything, but I am new to P3D (haven't really tried FSX that much), hence the questions. How would you rate FSX/P3D's ability to accurately model aircraft systems compared to DCS:A-10? Now, I realise a military aircraft and a Cessna are hardly comparable, and yet: can FSX really model all the electrical systems etc in a Cessna or are the payware producers like Carenado 'cutting corners' and if yes, how many? :-) Next question is helicopters: how would you rate the aero dynamics of FSX in this regard? I've flown Blackshark extensively but only tried the Robinson in FSX.

I have seen references to a P3D.dll.xml file but cannot find it. Supposedly, it must be changed to use some addons in P3D.

Basically as the title says. Is there? Ideally I would keep the runway as it is because it doesn't go all blurry every time I go to the tower view or take a long time to load. If I had to do both then I would be fine with that as well. Thanks,

Has anyone managed to get Aivlasoft EFB working properly in Prepar3d yet? It all works apart from letting me enable the aircraft follow feature. I think it's that the Data Provider isn't getting information from Prepar3d. Any ideas?

It dawned on me I'm missing a good taildragger from my hanger. So can I get some opinions on what taildraggers you guys prefer and make some recommendations? This is in the Prepar3D forum because whatever you recommend, it has to work on this platform. :) I'd prefer a single engine, no warplanes, strictly GA, good clean hi-res textures. More important basic navigation aids. ie: No glass, no GPS..

The runway and grass are missing from 1WA6 Fall City from Orbx. Looks ok in FSX. The runway is present but slightly below ground level. Anybody had similar issues?

I must have a totally messed up file structure. Here are the Pacific Northwest I have. Am I missing 1 thru 4???This is from a fresh install? I have the latest Library. Does it go at a higher or lower priority than these files and then does a purchased airport go above all of this? Perhaps just a picture of a proper Orbx folder is what I need.. Is the only way to get an airport into FTX Central an install of that airport?

Folks, I recently got Vancouver +V3 upgrade, installed it and had not the time to fly about. Tonight I flew a flight plan from CAM3 to Vancouver and surrounding area, doing some sight seeing. A weird, strange performance behaviour has crept into my computer in the area of these two airports. My general performance with my sliders turned back to normal, over most Orbx area is 28-30 fps, as I approach Boundary Bay / Delta Airpark area, including Point Roberts my computer performance starts to drop off and eventually gets as low as 4-8 fps, a real slide show. If I turn my plane around and fly south to US or fly east up the Fraser River Valley the performance …

Hello, in FSX I have deleted all default aircraft I never used for flying. So it was possible to reduce the loading time of the aircraft selection menu. So, I have deleted all unwanted default P3D aircraft, but on next P3D start the automatic P3D installer repaired all aircraft to "factory defaults". If it is possible to deactivate P3D aircraft from aircraft selection menu, can anyone tell me what do I have to do? Thanks, Patric

Did they buy FSX? Did they bought the scorce code? Is FSX now owned by Lockheed Martin?

Is it possible to configure P3D to launch to the airport or plane select menus rather than wasting time loading a default flight that I am never going to use!?Cheers.
