Does anyone know if FS Water Configurator work in P3D? I have tried it but to no effect. I am assuming that the Shader HSML forler in P3D root is correct setup.

I want to reinstall P3D from the 3 zip files I have on my PC. Does this require the reactivation process?? I am guessing that since it is the same PC, etc. I may not have to be down for 24 hours.

hello, my SSD FSX drive does not have much space left. i usually install sceneries on another -mechanical- hard drive. i understand that you must install ORBX sceneries in the FSX folder (at least at first and then you can move it?). i think about buying FTX USA Canada pacific fjords and wonder if someone can tell me how much hdd space i need to install it? haven't found any good info on that even with google. thanks!

Hello folks, I loaded P3d today and it said couldn't find default flight for starters, then it came up with the statement that I needed to reinstall Microsoft Flight Simulator?? Go figure?? Can you do a repair install with Prepar3D without losing all of your add-ons? Thanks so much and have a blessed one. Tom

I had not used WOAI for many years due to the load on PC from Traffic. So I loaded several aircraft via their installer with an inproved PC. Then P3D told me I had a lot of duplicate names. Looking at the names they seemed to be duplicates only for some initial part of the names. Is this an issue with the current V1/3 P3D or should I look further at my system?

I just decided to clean up all the lingering flight plans I made and noticed something. I can't load any Flight Plans made in Prepar3D with Prepar3Ds own Flight Planner. ( always just made them and flew them on the spot. Never to even think about loading them again.. Until tonight) I can create, save, and fly the plan but if choose "load" a flight plan zero show up in the list.. The weird part is I copied over a Flight Plan made in FSX and it showed up in Prepar3D's Flight Planner just fine to load and fly. So, what is going on here? Considering buying an Orbx product but I can not find info on exactly how much area the Pacific Northwest addon covers? Which states, islands and provinces of Canada, exactly?

I really like P3D but... I find it very hard when we got no support on 1.3 regarding the customize weather.... It was announced that 1.3 would solve the weather issue but it 's clear that it was a wrong information... worst, I o not understant why the developpers keep quite on the subject.

I'm trying to run 5780 * 1980 (3 x 1920x1080 ) monitors in surround vision with GTX 690 . I have 3 ASUS VQ276 27" . It runs surround fine, but when i use wideviewaspect it's really annoying because it distorts the picture ! While watching the left and right monitor i see the "super" wide picture (image lengthened) but centre monitor is normal wide picture When i use normal screen without wideviewaspect, the cockpit is very big and have to "walk" through cockpit for see or use anything Any advice or suggestion is welcome tks

I'm undoubtedly stupid, but I can't for the life of me figure out what Prepar3d is and/or what it does. Is it a new flight simulator kinda like MSFS and XPlane? Is it an add-on for FSX? If the latter, what does it do? If the former, what is its connection with FSX? Do I need FSX to use Prepar3d? Sorry guys... my autistic brain is playing up, and I can't find sufficient data in the official www.prepar3d.com site to even remotely figure out what on earth it IS... The info is undoubtedly there, but apparently in a format that doesn't mesh with me. I'm a bit upset... this is the first time that I really can't understand what something is and/or does...

I presently have the Orbx Lancair v1.3. Now that Real Air has their aircraft out is there any material difference? This airplane requires some learning and I do not want to find out someday that the Real Air version was significantly superior in some way.

Hi, My Prepar3D launches ok, but freezes within seconds of the full screen airplane at startup. I cannot even launch the taskbar manager (Win7 64)...need cold restart the machine. No issues with FSX (works fine) Installation & activation went fine, with DirectX & .NET client installed ok during setup. Launched as Admin & Prepar3D froze after the full screen airplane appears. Same freeze everytime I launch Prepar3D. - To correct the problem, I did the following: I did a REPAIR option during using Prepar3D Setup from flat installer run as admin Installed Directx 9c from Microsoft site Removed .NET framework 4.0 extended & client Reistalled NET…

So I have installed Prepare and am liking it. I have REX Essentials licensed and working fine. I have also installed a few of my aircraft by using FSX Reg Utility to change the registry entry to trick installers into installing in the Prepare directory instead of in FSX, then I change it back with that same utility. Is this how I should install the PMDG 737-NGX as well?? I have read a few other suggestions, but they are usually not explicit or complete enough [for me a relative newbie I suppose, at least to Prepare]...they'll say "copy your 737-NGX from FSX into the related directories, then copy fonts, then check this and copy gauges etc...I seriously do not want to …

Hi all. Just got a little bored and started to add the airports that ORBX have, and are making, in the AU, NZ area on Google Earth. Thought if someone is interested, I might share it. ORBX Google Earth Airports with no marking are pay-ware airports. Airports marked with a * is free-ware airports. Airports with in brackets () are under development and are not yet released.

I've spent the last few days reinstalling W7 and consequently, FSX as well. I plodded on through the installation of about $750,000 worth of add-ons and finally I was ready to join my buddies online again. We met at Swanson and the scenery looked superb. So we set of to Strom (39P) and I thought the scenery looks...not right. Arriving at Strom, (not Storm B) ) imagine my horror to have to land in a TRENCH! Dagnabbit! P3D with reflection and clarity slider to the left. Ihave used bot h Rex2/OD and Rex Essentials. Also use ORBX. I get sky reflections that show waves even on the smallest ponds. Same intensity as the open ocean. I have turned off ORBX, Backed up to FSX original in REX2, turned off all non-essential scenery in the Manager and I can't stop reflections producing this effect. In this picture I am using the fixed weather option Fogged In which should have no sky reflection. Lockheed denies they cause this. REX says they do not do this. Hey everyone... Fixing to board the Prepar3d band wagon, but had a request first. I see in their preview shots Norfolk, VA, and it looks beautiful in their previews. Was wondering if someone could take screens of the area, particularly over by Norfolk Naval Station (airfield & helicopter pads by the tunnel) since they are not shown anywhere. I have been working on fixing this stuff in FSX, but if the rest of Norfolk looks like the small preview on the site then I think I am sold. Thanks in advance.

Colleagues: have any of you used this with P3D. If so, is it easy to install and run, or does it require some or a lot of programming? Your experience would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all Has anyone gotten the Milviz missions included with the new Baron 55 plane to work? First off I can't install the scenery files for the Portales airport and the missions don't show in the P3d mission list. Any suggestions?
