Hi Guys. I have had Orbx NZSI installed since it came out and have NZNI a few weeks. All of a sudden I have noticed that Wanaka and my home town NZNP is having extra buildings put in around the airport and surrounding area. I tried doing a system restore, thinking I may have put something on that conflicked, but still the same. I did a flight from Wanaka to NP and as I was climbing out I was getting default autogen textures on hills that should not be there. Any help would be mush appriciated.

I am experiencing consistent crashes just north of Seattle in Orbx PNW. Is anyone else able to replicate this? Takeoff from WA96, climb to round 2-3000 feet and head directly to CAN NDB (274.0). No matter my settings and aeroplane of choice, P3D 1.4 always crashes with a simple "P3D has stopped working, should I attempt to restart?" message halfway between the airport and the NDB. Most settings are maxed out except for scenery complexity and autogen which is a few steps down. Any takers?

Hi folks, Been using P3D for several months and all has been very very well. Since I installed P3d v1.4, when I open program and get to default flight (or anytime P3D is open) in the upper left corner (windowed mode), it shows Microsoft Flight Simulator instead of Prepar 3D. Did not do this in v1.3. IF I "disable" FSX2P3D, P3D goes back to normal with the correct header. I've always ran P3D with the Virtual FSX enabled with no problems. Only time I turn it off is when I'm installing add-ons with a p3d installer. Any ideas as to what is causing this. Thanks so much and have a blessed one. Tom

Well, curiosity got the best of me. So last night I bought P3d (ooooh, that's a nice little download). Not gonna go cold turkey and just delete FSX but will slowly play with it over the next few weeks (or even months) to see what it holds in store. It's funny, I am excited and dreading this this at the same time. Excited to see what little improvements have taken place but also dreading as I might really like it thus causing the "MIGRATION" headache. Maybe that is only a perceived issue. Maybe it is really easy to move forward to P3D. If that is the case that should be the message to get out to other "holdouts". There should/could be a sub-forum on migrating fr…

Got P3D up and running, now wanting to tweak CFG. there is a lot of config files. IE: airline cfg, display cfg. scenery cfg. suneffects cfg. terrain cfg. etc etc. Cannot find the right one containing bufferpools etc. What is the name of the cfg for the bufferpool tweaks? Thank you in advance!

Hi All, I'm using VoxATC v6. After Atis, Clearnance,and Ground. when given taxi instructions all of a sudden I get audio that sounds like another prop aircraft. It's very loud and annoying but there are no other aircraft near me. This only occurs while using Vox. Doesn't matter what aircraft I use. I can even shut down my aircraft engine and I still hear a phantom aircraft. Any ideas? I've posted this in VoxATC forum as well. Craig

Hi All, I started a flight using VOXATC last night and when I started to taxi past a couple of AI props the their volume drowned out the controllers instructions/requests. Does anyone know how to lower the volume of AI aircraft? I've left this message in the My Traffic forum as well. Thanks

Hey guys I am in the process of doing a tweaked comparison of FSX and P3D. I haven't installed any serious add-ons for P3D, except for some airports and photo scenery, and have performance running as good as I can get it. I am not going to run a comparison via FSX (fresh install) with exactly the same add-ons. What I will be looking for is: 1. Smoothness 2. Stability 3. Visual Quality I will let you know my findings once I get everything installed and run.

Hey guys, recently I started down the long road to becoming a professional pilot. I've been looking for a decent piece of flight sim software to go with a sim-chair I'd like to purchase with a friend of mine. My question is to the heli pilots; does the r22 perform in P3D as it does in real life? So far I've been completely unable to find a sim that is even reasonably close to actual flying in a helicopter. Take On Helicopters, FSX, FlightGear, etc... all seem to be based on the idea that sensitivity = realism, and that's just not the case. Helicopters are twitchy, and they do require very subtle control inputs, but none of the aforementioned sims even come close to the fe…

Hi All, I've only had P3D for two weeks now so maybe this is old hat for most of you. I'm using the FSX to P3D Migration Tool. I don't have FSX on my machine and perhaps I didn't understand the FSX to P3D Migration Tool directions correctly. I thought that you changed it to enable virtual FSX and just left it there. After installing the Level D 767 I changed the tool to "disable virtual FSX" and no CTD's but now other programs such as VoxATC and Active Sky won't work. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi everyone Late yesterday afternoon all set up, NGX intsalled, EZCA all tweaked & AS2012 on networked laptop. Started a quick flight and everything was tickety boo :rolleyes: Went back last night only to find when I started P3D I was greetd with a black screen - ok I thought must be related to having the NGX as the default flight. Deleted the cfg so it would rebuild now getting a 'Can't init SimConnect Error' Plus the NGX will not load and eventvwr points to a PMDG_737NGX_2.dll error What on earth has happened!!! Any advice would be great as one minute all was good now no NGX and no AS2012... Help!

I am currently using remote cockpit, after stumbling on their site, and it seems to work perfectly with Prepar3d. I must say that the quality of the instruments is superb and that for people like me with bi-focals just looking at a prefect set of the basic six gauges beautifully displayed is not only a joy to see but really helps me to control an aircraft much easier. Also with the controls sitting in front of my main screen gives the 3d affect which adds to the immersion factor. I have installed my new computer with fsx default and all the orbx products only. so no gex or utx or any other. still I see wrong airports like khqm and kors with trees and gates in the air. any idea how to solve? i have nrm/pacific/crm/npw and all airports as well. also installed all patches and the latest libraries

So here I sit with my Sunday morning "cuppa joe" reading through all these amazing testimonials on the advantage of P3D. And the more I read the more I feel like I am missing out. I keep telling myself to wait for v2.0, that I really won't see any improvements with v1.4. To bide my time with FSX. Hi, Over the next few days I plan to spend some time reading all the posts in this forum and getting up to speed, in the mean time I have a couple of questions. First off here are my basic specs. I5 2600K at 4.6ghz 8 gig ram win7 64 bit & a 660Ti driving two screens FS9 runs like lightning and looks amazing maxed out. FSX runs very well and I am halfway through preparing it for the upcoming PMDG 777 & FSLabs A320. I have all the major scenery/airports etc for both sims, GEX, UTX, AS2012 and a bunch of freeware, plus trackir & loads of hardware for a homecockpit. So... 1. Do you all get way point names in the flight planner? I see the way points, but no names come up like they used to in FSX. If you click on the way point it will tell you its name. But in FSX you could look around at the different names and decide which one to pick. Lee

Hello, Do we need this tool for P3D?

Since Prepar3d is essentially FSX, does it still offer a shared cockpit feature? I have been searching the forum and google and can only come up with answers which aren't too clear and answers for both yes and no.

So I just started to use Prepar3d and I been looking at Orbx since I was using FSX. But I never bought anything from Orbx in the past. So basically I just want to know how do I buy the Prepar3d versions if there any? I do not have FSX installed anymore, and I just want the quickest way to buy the North Orbx package. Any ideas?

When I run the latest installer it doesn't find FSX.EXE nor ESP.EXE. I point it to the P3D folder, it ends installation, but then when I start P3D the FSUIPC menu says it is not registered and has no detailed menus ?

Hi Just taken the plunge and purchased, P3D and wow I have managed to port over NGX, and using AS2012 on network laptop plus TrackIr thanks to this forum! I have installed EZDOK and it all seems to work however, when I change cameras the views seem to default to above the glareshied. When I try and set up the camera to view a specific part of the VC (select numberpad button 2) I get the familiar beeps however, the view will not change. WIth FSX I used to do the same as above and simply by moving the mouse and scroll wheel I could customize the views with no issues? From what I have read many here have successfully intsall EZDOK with P3D so what am I missi…

Hi, I've never been able to use Bufferpools=0 while using FSX, but it seems to work well with P3D ver. 1.4, I also tried a few other tweaks (thanks Word Not Allowed) and I'm happy with the results. Warning, this image is 5760x1200, I run a triple monitor setup. I have the PMDG 737NGX sitting on the active runway at KMIA, frames are set to unlimited and I'm using the external FPS limiter, its locked at 30. I've got P3D working really well. I've used Word Not Allowed's tweaks and I have applied the Nvidia Inspector settings I had for FSX to P3D. The only thing that hasn't quite cleaned up is there is some texture flickering going on in places, mostly in my addon sceneries. This was not present in my FSX setup. Is there any light anyone could shed on that? Maybe some setting that might need to be slightly different in P3D than in FSX? Any advice will be very appreciated. Lee

I just bought the fsx2p3d migration tool but it is not doing its thing for contrails pro: it crashes P3D Am I doing something wrong. Does it install ? I can no longer use FSX it redid all my settings P3D lost some addons ! WHAT A MESSY piece of software !! Uninstalled it Had to redo a few tweaks, and P3D back to normal It permanently messed up my FSX cfg file by deleting it !!! They have no right to delete any files on my computer ! I had all kinds of backups in my app data subfolder and it deleted these.
