I know this topic has already been brought up but has anyone successfully installed Reality XP into P3D, or are there any other GPS systems compatible with P3D?

Messing around in Slew mode, on my system, My GPU usage is max at 99% over the Pacific Ocean far from land. If I place the aircraft over ORBX inland away from water the GPU usage drops to 50%. FPS are around 150 over water and 80 over land. Water reflection slider was at min. Sliding it to max no differences in either case. Also used fixed weather with no clouds, noon in the summer season. Are those pretty waves heating up the video card?

I'm having trouble when flying the 737 NGX which don't think had before. Whenever I start a flight everything is nice and smooth, but as the flight progress has an eye on me and my destination I get severe frame rate dips so that the simulation seems to freeze every few seconds. Any ideas? I'm running i7 k2600 at 4.3 GHz GTX560 GPU Aivlasoft EFB ActiveSky 2012 737 NGX + fs2crew GSX Squawkbox The new complexity is dense and auto game is normal, FFTF=0.18

Hi all, My question is if I install a FTX scenery package such as Australia SP4 or NA Pacific Northwest do I need to install a landclass or terrain mesh sofware? And is there any other software that is required for FTX? Thanks in advance, Donair

I'm impresed by FSDT KLAX and KJFK sceneries which detected that I have P3D installed and ran the sceneries for me. Well impressed.

I am running P3D on a fairly low spec machine alongside REX and RC4 On the whole, performance is ok, around 15-25 FPS, but drops dramatically with cloudy weather in REX to around 5 FPS, RC4 also misses a lot of calls when REX is running, the system can't quite cope... I bought FSPS P3D Extreme booster in the hope that this would improve performance, but REX cannot run inside it as it runs it as admin, and it asks me to buy my P3D REX license again, so I run REX seperately with P3D running inside the booster, and REX outisde and this is slower than ever as, I guess, it's running on extra program which burdens the processor. What is the booster actually doing? I not…

Hi Guys not sure I have posted in the right section or not I have recenetly purchased the Baron 58 and experienced the dreaded stall when attempting to climb at anything about 600fpm or there abouts, I have played with mixtures, prop rpm etc no difference, also when decending to save the stall this seems to be an issue as well engine seems to get into a stall and very hard to get it out of that stall. Hi, Any way of permanently changing the opening zoom in P3D?. It always loads to 0.40 even though I changed the cameras.cfg file to (InitialZoom=0.625). This is Camera Definition 002 (Virtual Cockpit). I even tried 0.6 and 0.62. Thanks ------------------- Moderators Note: See below for new Topic

Hello Guys, Just went for the P3D last weekend (1.4 academic licence) The manual install of NGX went well following this link: http://janvaane.org/prepar3d/?p=88 Only small issue I seem to have is that the FMC is slightly blured. Did anyone else have this issue before and solve it? I have 4096 as the setting in P3D I'll post s screenshot later. Regards, Jude

Just wondering if LM did any work on the weather engine in P3d. Would be nice to have true overcast conditions again.

so i bought and installed PNW today..along with the patch on the orbx website, and i fired it up for the first time. Flying out of KCLM (Port Angeles, WA) i eventually get up to Vancouver International and decide i want to do a touch and go there. I call up ATC and it directs me to runway 08C for a touch and go. I thought it was weird so i checked SkyVector.com and sure enough there is no center runway at CYVR. This is the first time i have had this happen to me, even with default FSX vancouver. I dont have any other scenery installed that would affect vancouver. Has anyone else had this happen and is there a fix for it.

why when approaching at KORS in P3D my computer always crashes after a fall of FPS to 2 or 3 In FSX, same sccenery, all is fine, full stop landing at 25 fps I tried deactivating all addons except ORBX and still it crashes on approach, right on top of Sucia Islands

Has anyone successfully transfered AES to P3D. I would like to use it, but it won't run in P3D. it tells me I have the wrong version of FSX running! This means I can't use the configuration tool. it is greyed out. If of course there is a P3D installer I would love a URL. Many thanks.

For those who may not have seen it the latest animation in the official forums for the nature flow is a heard of cows grazing. The concensus seems to be that as long as it doesn't hit frame rates "the more the merrier". I certainly go along with that. Us "Low n Slow" brigade fully appreciate the traffic and people animations and I think the "Less is More" animations so far are pretty good (compared with a recent Train Simulator where people march about frantically and then dissappear through solid walls or into thin air!). Of course this started a spurt of creative thinking on the forum until one wag suggested "Cows riding Bikes" :lol: ....he'll be over here soon .…

Hi Tried a quick search without success.... How can you disable the ground vehicle showing labels? I have 'Show Aircraft Labels' selected but was hoping this would only be for AIrcraft? Many thanks in advance :rolleyes:

I've been busy setting up P3D with this excellent tool. It even got UT2 running. But I' seem to have made a major mess-up! The FSX directory in User/Appdata/Roaming/Microsoft has gone! Thinking through it I may have re-booted the pc while Virtual FSX was loaded. Anyway, I cannot load FSX at all now. Whichever mode I use I get I hope this is reverable - any ideas? Chris

I assume UTX is causing the problem, but I have a highway running through the runway of the default airport in Norfolk. I've tried rearranging the scenery library to no avail. Can anyone help?
