Hi. I like to follow P3D's progress, for maybe buy it one day. When i tried to access Loocked Martin's P3D forum today, i only find GeoSketch and it's forum. Maybe i have missed something here, or what is this?

I just got word from Carenado that they're converting their fleet to P3D. Four installers are ready now. C90B King Air, PA46 Malibu JetProp, A36 Bonanza and C337 Skymaster.

Hello I just installed the ORBX YBCS Cairns scenery for FSX with the 1.1 patch. The thing is that I get buildings, trees, bushes and building covering the whole airport. Anyone else had this before and now a fix? I did a search on the Orbx and on the WWW but did not find anything. With the default scenery it is nothing there. I have the Australia SP4 and also YBBN Brisbane, YBAS Alice Springs, installed with no problems. Thanks in advanced.

This morning i took a flight from Liesure Land Airpark to Quiliquote and it almost brought tears to my eyes using the orbyx scenery. This is the way it is supposed to be. Soooo vivid and smooth. If we can ever port over GEX and Ultimate Terrain and Rex it will be heaven. The only thing I don't like is my desktop tool bar on the bottom when i am in full screen mode. Other than that I love it. Prepar3D is the future.

Hello The Cessna 162 Skycatcher from Flight1 is a very nice airplane. BUT: The Garmin do NOT work in Prepar3d Flight1 said to me that it is only licensed to FSX !? Does anybody knows what dependencies the Skycatcher/Garmin has ? Is it possible to copy some files from the original FSX-Installation in the Prepar3d folder(s) ? Greetings from Luxembourg Ralf

I just have installed a SSD drive in my system and I want to move my P3D installation from my HD to this SSD (from D:\P3d to E:\P3D). Does anyone have a suggestion how to move this without the need of a complete new installation of P3D and my add-ons?

Folks, I'm trying to get ezka and T.ir to work but no joy. What i have done is I installed ezka normally then I unzipped the beta file found on the other site.Now what happens is that ezka does not start automatically and even if I start it manually it works only partially.For example ML does not work. Track ir doe snot work as well. Any of you have fool proof instructions to have ezka and track ir work together ? If I can't get them to work I will have to go back to fsx for sure. Thanks

Hi, Is the cloud popping fixed with P3D and REX Essentials?. If this is a Simconnect issue, is it repairable via L/M?. I'm in Florida looking to buy a new home, not at my sim. Would love to see some screen shots. Thanks

Well, W16, Monroe, has been out a bit now. I love Orcas, and this is by the same team, but I've worried about FPS, being so close to S43, which runs slow on my machine, and Seattle. Anyone who has it care to offer a review, particularly about performance?

Hi, Does the 5minute timeout for AI Aircraft also apply in Prepar3D? If so is it possible to increase? There is a thread here - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/363969-a-fix-for-5-minute-ai-timeout-limit-for-fsx-sp2-finally/page__hl__timeout - on how to do so for FSX SP2 but I cannot find the relevant part of my AIPlayer file in Prepar3D to make the same change. Hi all, I lost my copy of FSX and decided to purchase Prepar3d Academic version instead. Is there anyway to install third part aircraft, such as PMDGs 747 and 737 without porting them FROM FSX? I'll buy FSX again if needed,but just wanted to check-in with the AVSIM community to see if there was a work-around. Thanks!

Just got the e-mail this morning! Downloaded and installed and it is spectacular! One of their best yet! Super smooth on frames and the eye candy is simply stunning!

Hello, I installed Prepar3D and FSCommander 9.2. FSC 9.2 is announced as compatible with Prepar3D. Nethertheless I have several problems. In the Database Manager, after selecting Prepar3D the flight simulator path, I have no choice regarding the scenery library path. And I am not sure, that during the update it is getting all information about installed airport. The update is very rapid, compared with the previous situation with FSX. Wheen I am making a flight plan, it isn't possible to specify the gate or parking position. Even if Prepar3D is running, FSC seems to have no information about installed airports. And if I save a flight plan, I can do it only …

For those that have installed it, how does it deal with those static aircraft? Can you disable them and when you do, are you left with an ADE file that opens up all spaces for AI? And what's with "static flow"? I can't find a description on their page anywhere. Hovering over any mention of it fails to produce a link to a description. Lastly, is this designed like a normal commercial airport or did ORBX put their 2 cents in somewhere making it useless with AI, GSX or other programs. I ask this because I was disappointed to find that PAKT didn't work with AI after I purchased it. To me, there should have been a massive disclaimer on the product page explaining the limit…

To keep Stephens useful pinned topic free from debate as requested I've started this new thread to discuss the forthcoming plans part of that post. Checking back on the ORBX forums on the future plans announcement I found a post by Bill Womack along the lines that "The boss wants us to concentrate on areas other than PNW" I'm a bit surprised to see that for the US 5 out of the 7 proposed (? - this is just a leak?) are for the PNW! No more for NRM and the PFJ ones so close to Tongass Fjords, which IMHO is a "no brainer" for anyone interested in the region, that it seems a rather random choice? Hi all, I'm trying to remove all but one cloud texture per coverage factor (e.g. for FEW/SCT/BKN/OVC). What would be the correct approach to fullfil this? Background is, that enabling clouds over distributed (but not directly interlinked, not using a master slave setup) P3D clients gives me sometimes correctly overlapping cloud textures, but sometimes they don't fit at all. I have noticed every time I enable or disable some 3rd party scenery my P3D crashes as soon as it tries to load the default flight (after building the Scenery DB progress Bar) (it mainly happens when I enable/disable UTX via the UTX setup tool) it's like it can't compile the Scenery DB as it remembers the last DB before I enabled/Disabled the scenery. the only way around it is to reboot my computer then everything is fine. note: that it only happens if I already ran P3d once without rebooting my machine, then after closing P3D I do the scenery change and try starting P3D again. if I reboot my machine, and never ran P3D after the reboot then I can change the scen…

So finally I have my store credit processed for the P3D SBSL I bought for my ORBX scenery! Seems churlish to complain about such a gesture, but I guess it would have been nice to have had these whilst the 44% sale was on...oh well! So now I have AUS$27.80 to spend @ Flightsimstore. What do you reckon the best thing to buy from the store totalling that amount is? ...or failing that, are there any imminent exciting releases I would be better putting that money towards?

I got a 6 Core Xeon (X5670 Westmere-EP) Processor. in FSX I used to set my AffinityMask=62 (leaving Core 0 free). since then P3D had many performance improvements. is there any point using the AffinityMask in P3D? is there any added value on leaving "Core 0" free in P3D?

Hi guys Does any have experience installing REX Essentials into P3D? I'm a bit curious because I have REX - Real Environment Xtreme v2.0 installed now via the FSX migrator tool, but I'm unsure how I should proceed with the new REX product.

Hi guys, I am trying to get the external limiter FPS_limiter_0.2 working with P3D. I have the academic license and been running for a bout 10 days now. I went through the tweaks using Bojotes setup. The updates woked great, the only exception being FPS limiter. I get to the point were you are supposed to create the bat. file and it stops there. Can any one that has used this program tell me what exe. file they used to get the new bat file . I get the Prepar3d exe showing in the gui part of the software but it shows in "light" grey and the program stops runing at this point. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. With the less than inspiring news about Flight, I think many people will be turning to Prepar3D for a glimpse into the Flight Simming future.Do we know anything concrete about the upcoming version 2 of P3D?I have seen many references to it but no hard feature / improvement list other than DX11 support being looked at.Are any of the P3D devs able to share any info on this version? (without getting in trouble of course!)Also, will the $10 per month subscription service continue with v2?
