Is there a way to inject in fsx the weather from a given metar? I mean: put in OMDB the weather described in a metar like this "13008KT 9999 SCT030 33/01 Q1005"

If you happen to fly in or out of SBUL you may get a surprise! The elevation is incorrect. I was flying in at night, first time to this airport, and the only thing I could see was a dark hole!! I did not land there. Using daylight I went back and sure enough it was about a 1,000 foot hole. I did fly out of the hole................ I have some pictures but the paste of links is not working. FSX is for some reason not finding a hard drive where I have a lot of photo real scenery. The link(s) likely got messed up after I rebooted into my Windows 10 system drive and started FSX without establishing the scenery drive as K:, which is what it is under my Windows 7 system. I believe the Windows 10 system saw the drive as G: FSX starts to load textures but hangs at 0%. If I pull that scenery drive from the system, reboot, and start FSX again I get "can't find scenery" errors when starting FSX, but once I run click through those and get FSX up and running it does fine. No issues, but of course all I get are the default scenery and my freeware addon scenery. So…

Hello everyone, Just recently I've built a new PC with the following specs: Asus Maximus Ranger VII Z97 motherboard 8 GB DDR3 RAM (Crucial Ballistix Sport) nVidia Geforce GTX 970 (Asus Strix GTX 970) i7 4790K 4.0 GHz (turbo boost to 4.4 GHz) All scenery add-ons like FlyTampa, FSDT etc work fine at 30 FPS locked with lots of AI traffic (custom like FAIB, AIA, TFS fsx-native models) and compiled with AI flight planner. My only question is it normal to have 16-23 FPS at UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme with AI traffic? Or can i expect more FPS at this airport? And in this range I also do not experience smoothness. Hello i have just purchased Just Flight Tornado when it comes to load up all is well untill you try to click buttons in VC they do not seem to work also the gauges do not work either have made sure lagacy sim connect files are installed. Was wondering if anyone else is having same problem?

Running FSX DX10. Via putting the appropriate lines into Panel.cfg, Window [xx], I like to retrofit a Bendix Radio Stack [for the AP], & a Garmin GPS 530 unit to most of the older aircraft I fly. [Aircraft.cfg has been tweaked Autopilot=1] 95% of them run okay with this, accessible via Shift 1, 2 etc. However, I have a couple of aircraft where the AP works, the GPS comes up & the track shows, but when I switch over to the AP & then activate GPS, the aircraft doesn't follow the GPS track . I am wondering if I am missing some code in Panel.cfg? Any thoughts? Thanks

Hello All, I finally have a nice game-machine, but it is still far from great. And I am looking to improve the Sky/Weather, without excessive impact to my frame-rate. Are there “choices of technologies” / categories of technologies that apply to this question? Should I spend more time fiddling with the built in ms-fsx? Is there a payware that makes this easy? Keeping my frame-rate high is more important than eye-candy, but I want to improve the eye-candy if I can. Thanks in advance. I'd like to be able to simulate realistic traffic at my new KMSP-AI version of Minneapolis St Paul International, but I just don't seem to be able to lose NWA. If I knew exactly which airlines can use which stands, I could simply leave them nowhere to park, but there should be no schedule for them, yet there they are. I am using World of AI to simulate the main airlines, but NWA isn't among them. I've tried moving trafficaircraft.bgl out of the relevant folder, but they doesn't kill it either. Any ideas folks? Using exactly the same setup in P3D and FSX-SE, I find that mouse use in P3D does not effect frame rates but in FSX-SE it drops about 20%. I wonder if Steam/Dovetail Games can fix this in FSX-SE?

I just went through a big format/reinstall a few weeks ago (added SSDs) and I just now got around to installing AFCADs for all the major airports. I just wanted to point out and commend the amount of time and work Ray Smith has put into providing good AFCADs for free here. I installed well over 150 of his files that cover a ton of the world's major airports. That is a heck of a lot of work!

Hope this is not regarded "off topic" I have the latest version of Free AVAST but now cannot find a facility to temporarily disable file and web features as a precaution when downloading and installing add ons. Anyone help please? Regards Anamiv

I have updated my system from windows 8.1 to windows 10 today (07/08/2015). and I have problem with anti aliasing in fsx in windows 8.1 I had no problem with AA in fsx on DX9 only on DX10 I had AA problem so I played fsx with DX9 enabled and now in Windows 10 I have no AA neither with DX9 enabled nor DX10 please help me I have AMD RADEON HD7950 and the latest amd catalyst of windows 10 64 bit the 15.7 version if I am not mistaken. help me please

Hi folks, I have the latest and registered version of FSUIPC4. Recently I saw an lua script that can set Vref for the Majestic Q400 automatically. The readme says put the lua file and the speed data file into the fsx/modules folder "Assign the lua to a key press in FSUIPC". I put the files in the folder but was unable to figure out how to assign the lua script to a key press. Can anyone help with this? Thank you, Zicheng Cai

Just wondering if most of you are still firing up FSX with a default aircraft ( Cessna 172, Baron, default 737, or the trike). Is it still REALLY necessary for proper performance of FSX, or is it a myth? Stan

Hello Guys As the title says, I can't see the starts when looking for example to the right when inside the cockpit. Then I look to the left and the stars appears again. It happens the same some times with the arrows of the taxi route when on the ground. I'm using SweetFSX. I thought it worth to mention. Did anyone encounter this little issue? Thanks!!

Hello folks.. I have a big problem.. When you load up the game, you see Microsoft Flight Simulator X on your screen, right? And after that you have the menu, and that's my problem.. My menu is stuck in the bottom right corner if my screen and I can't move it (okay, only when i go to setting and click in the title settings, then i can move it..) And the only thing I can see is about 1 quarter of the screen. :( And after I clicked on for example missions, it the side bar disappears.. Please help.. Once upon a time I used to put my cursor on a knob or a Direction Indicator and I could see information such as what the dial is or what heading I had, not sure what happened but now I have nothing when I hover my cursor over said knobs, dials and buttons etc. I seem to recollect this action before I installed DX10 Fixer so wonder if that's the problem? I checked the various options. Show Cockpit Tool Tips is checked so if there is there something I've missed? Thanks

I recently purchased LatinVFR Montego Bay for FSX. However, there is something adrift. The scenery is nice enough, but using Airbus or Boeing with the latest airacs, there is no ILS landing option for R7. I know there is one, as I can put the frequency in manually and then land on an ILS approach. But why does it not come up in the FMC as an option? Is it something to do with UTX TAC?? If so what to do about it.

So, after years of simming, and a year trying to enter "serious waters", means learn FMC , LNAV, VNAV and other "advanced" mambo jumbo, I'm asking you this now, prepare... can Aerosoft A318/319/320/321 be flown as a Project Airbus V3 or default Airbus A321? :ph34r: Means, I power up the plane, enter flightplan via default FSX planner, control the AP like in a default Airbus, no LNAV and VNAV stuff. To be honest I bought AXE and yesterday A318/319 just because of an awesome immersion this addons has - checklists, cabin crew, real coppilot, etc. I really don't have nerves to learn that…

Hi all, I wonder if someone have this GPS has managed to leave full functional for any aircraft in FSX (any developer) and hopefully in full screen. I have seen on forums there are people who have shaped the "emuteq" GPS with Reality XP GNS 530 through FSUIP assigning them to buttons, but not how to do it in this case of VRInisght GPS and I think it could be done in the same way. Someone will know otherwise maybe? Greetings.
