Hi all, I am moving from My Traffic X 5.4c to My Traffic 6. Part of the uninstall procedure calls for manual removal of the MyTraffic entry in the .cfg . They are not specific about this. Hi All: Thought some of you might be interested in a discovery I made today on loading times for FSX from a cold boot to the 'Free Flight' screen. I recently upgraded to an SSD for my OS (Windows 7) and FSX. I, however, have several hundred GB of scenery data that won't begin to fit on the SSD so I have it still installed on a hard drive. But with the rest of FSX and W7 on the SSD I expected to see a significant improvement in FSX startup times. I did not. Maybe 30 secs at the most (3 mins before, about 2.5 mins after). Why? The only data not on the SSD is the scenery data. That must be what is still slowing my startup times. I tried some things. As a firs…

Hi all, I'm having an issue with FPS on FSX-SE. Now, whilst I realize everyone's experience is different due to set ups, I would be really interested in hearing if people have had any similar issues. When I start my first flight of the day I am getting around 45 - 60 FPS (I have disable FPS limiters in NI so I can see the max, its normally set to 30). I am using the usual compliment of addons, ORBX, Carenado, REX with Soft Clouds ASN. If I then exit the flight and reload the exact same situation I only get around 10 - 13 FPS. Hi. I'm want REX because it seems to be the software everyone uses to get the best cloud textures, but I am a little confused because there are four different versions of the program on the store. Does REX include weather simulation? Because I already have active sky next for weather. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for a good Cirrus SR22 or SR22T and see there are two on the market as payware. Anybody have these and are they any good. I really want something that is as close as possible to the real thing in terms of the systems as well as how it flies. thanks!

Hi. Not been active in FS recently until now. I am contemplating buying the 77 base pack. Would my system handle it nicely with these specs? Dear: I'm fond of realistic airliner simulations like PMDG and Level d sim for my fsx acceleration. I am thinking to get a Captain sim product. But I will buy only one, either 707 or 727. Could any one suggest which one is better? Regards, Haseen Ahmad Bangladesh.

Started to get some errors when starting FSX with NEXT since I migrated to Windows 10. I'm moving on to FSreal WX PRO. Seems like a good weather program and it was seamless from an install point. I'll try it for a while, but so far I'm impressed. Still using REX4 for Cloud textures. Stan

Hello, I'm a new comer. In FSX if anything goes faster than 340 nt, the overspeed warning will alarm but in real life why the plane goes beyond 920 kmh equal to 500 knot?

Does anyone know if the VNAV in this FMC really works. I know the speed works, but do you know if the altitudes will automatically set in the FSX autopilot if they are set in the FMC? Thanks.

To apply reverse thrust to my PMDG 737NGX with my Saitek throttle quadrant, I have assigned switch 21 (which is the position below zero in the red zone of the left outside black lever). In the settings, repeat is maxed out to the right. I lever works fine for positive thrust, however, as soon as I engage the reverse thrust, buy dropping the lever into the red zone (trigger switch 21), I am no longer able to regain positive thrust with the lever. The lever moves freely, but there is no action on the PMDG's thrust levers. The only way I am able to have them move forward is to use F3. This is annoying. I'm guessing I don't have my throttle quadrant setup properly. I…

That's it... The little yellow MSG light constantly blinks. I click, get the "airspace ahead" or similar, click to close but it just keeps on blinking. Garmin in Carenado planes especially.

Hello (again) Firstly, let me just quickly explain that this isnt a 'how do I do flight sim' or 'what's the best ever thing for me without knowing anything about my system etc' type of question. There's a reason for it! I haven't turned on the PC in about 5 years I think, I fell out of FS just as it looked like Fs9 was dying, and I never really embraced FSX. I haven't posted here in that long and I simply can't believe the place. Fs9 isnt dead and FSX seems to have eventually made it! Hi, I am trying to use FSX SE on the second laptop which is a Lenovo Flex 2. The original FSX SE download was on my Toshiba Satellite. I just copied the whole steam folder to the Lenovo and than updated Local Cache through Steam and it installed the needed Redist files. Now after I log on to the steam account and start FSX SE the only thing it shows is the Splash screen and then straight to the desktop. I have deleted the fsx.cfg but still the CTD. I have used FSX SE on the Lenovo earlier with no issues. Lenovo Specs. i5 4th Gen 4 GB GT820m 2GB 1920x1080 Full HD Display 14 inch. Kindly help.

G'Day Guys, I'm new here, so I'm not sure whether I have put this topic where it is meant to be. Anyway, I have been a PMDG + FSX user for a while, and one day my friend convinced me to install Steam. So I did, fiddled around with a few liveries but then decided I didn't like it and uninstalled it. From that day on, my PMDG Operations Centre does not recognise any of my PMDG aircraft/liveries even when I uninstall the aircraft and re-install them. No matter what I do, it just doesn't seem to recognise that Steam is gone and that I have PMDG aircraft (legal copies) in my FSX. Hi, I recently has this problem only when i want to put a "ROUTE" on the space for Flight Plan details, I can import a FP from FSX and all the functions works, expect this issue. Any advice? Thank in advice.

I have been having some issues with FSX as of late. The terrain textures and land class have not been loading quickly and often blurry and deformed. I tried have tried everything from defragging, rebuilding the FSX.cfg, and finally just reinstalled the entire thing, which I'm still not 100% sure fixed my original issue. Now when I go to any airport the airport ground textures are missing and in their place I find city and neighborhood textures. Attached is a shot I took from JFK. I have also tried looking at KCLT and KRSW all default and the same texture issues occurs in those locations as well. I really need help with both of my issues.

The title pretty much says it all. Considering getting one of these planes and would like to solicit opinions. I tend to lean toward putting preferential treatment on systems and flight dynamics, so I unfortunately know what I may be getting with Carenado. (I've finally just tweaked their PC-12 to where I like it, having experience on the real plane.) Any comments would greatly help. Thanks!

Since trying and ultimately failing to run side-by-side installs of MS FSX and FSX-SE, I have tried to uninstall both as completely as I know how. After doing so, I downloaded FSX-SE, installed it, and attempted to install the add-ons I had previously installed. The first I tried was EZdok camera addon. The first time I attempted this, I was able to install it, update it, and run the configure tool with no issues, and it would start alongside fsx, but it would not appear in the add-ons menu, making it impossible to set up cameras. Hi All EZ Dok last night decided to stop working. ( I am using latest version) This may or may not be related to an install of the drivers for the Saitek proflight yoke and throttle quadrant. Anyway when trying to reinstall EZdoc, it is looking for the FSX SE folder in roaming/local but I only have an FSX named folder. I used to run FSX but uninstalled it and moved to FSX SE.. after a lot of work, all my addons work with SE including my original install of EZdoc... I actually renamed the file to FSX-SE and ezdok found it but my adons stopped working.. When I launched FSX SE after changing the file name, it created another folder named FSX. …
