I've noticed when flying a localizer or ILS approach in the default CRJ-700, the localizer deviation on the PFD as depicted by the HSI is different than as indicated by the pink localizer diamond display near the bottom of the attitude indicator. For example, when the pink diamond shows the a/c is off course (off the center of the localizer) by 1 dot, the HSI shows a course error of 2 dots. I would have expected both displays to agree "dot for dot". Does anyone happen to know what is the case in the RW CRJ-700, and how many degrees of deviation each diamond and HSI dot represents when in localizer mode? Hi. I know its early stages for Windows 10, but I was wondering if someone could help with a scenery problem? Thw windows 10 upgarde went ok, but FSX-SE would not run. I solved this by verifying my steam files. During this process steam down loaded 270 odd missing files. Also a scenery index rebuild took place. FSX-SE then started normally ( after I let windows 10 chose compayinilty mode) but told me that Dynamic object placement (found in C:/steam/steam apps/common/fsx/ objectflow.dll) was not compatible with windows 10.. Ok, I've about come to my wits end regarding this. Here is my situation; I will load up a flight, can be the NGX, or pretty much anything short of the default ultralight and everything will be fine on the ground; good steady (locked at 30 with) FPS, no problems... Once I take off, within a minute or two I will get a lag spike, no warning, no FPS drops, the sim will just freeze.. sound still working, and after about 1-1.5 seconds it will go back to working... any control inputs I make when frozen, will be applied during that time, so the plane will "warp" to where it should be if it hadn't been frozen for that brief moment. These lag spikes will then continue, at any altit…

I've searched,, and basically confused myself. If this is not in the right area, apologies, and please move it if you wil, I'd like to re-do my FSX (ms) setup. I have a really good system, and have win 7.1 on an ssd drive (580 gb) I have 1 other drives, 2 TB. If you were me, how would you do it? I already have fsx on d: and have tried to put most of the extra stuff on a 2nd partition on the 2nd drive (E:) Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Hi all, I have purchased the DC10 HD version and i opted to change the sound file for the TSS CF6 sound package the read me indicates to remove the original sound file from the aircraft you wan to change the file of thats what i did and replaced it with the sound file from TSS when i restarted fsx the sound is totally gone now for some reason any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the CS767 and replaced the sound file it worked fine but not with the DC10 which looks really good btw

Dear All, I'm having a problem with the EZDOK (1.17) mouse look since I upgraded from win 8 to 8.1: the mouse look would only work from time to time upon FSX start. I tried running EZDOK as admin as suggested by few post in the EZDOK forums but no joy. Anyone managed to solve that problem ? Thanks in advance. Kind Regards

For any other Blackbox A320 users out there, is there anyway to get the Airbus to descend at a faster speed, say, 300 KTS? I am curious if there is anyone else who has set a goal of as many airports as possible? About 6 months after I started using FSX-MS I decided on a few special GA aircraft and kind of set a goal of how many airports I could fly from/to. I have been using FSX for a little over 3 years and am reaching the 1000 airport mark. Anyone else with this type of goal? Any suggestions? I primarily use CS C-130J and the default King Air 350 (with Friendly Panels - waiting for the final MV 350i). Most of my flights are around 1 hour with day and night, as well as real weather. Flights are both VFR and IFR, and mostly low altitude when possible. Thanks.............

Making a flight with Track IR on, EZCA on and ASN on. I can be flying along and all of a sudden the cockpit will start pulsing closer and further away from my eyes till it gets out of control then bam, black screen but I can only see myself in spot plane view. This happens rarely but now it's happening all day today on the same flight from 42AK to PARY in A2A's Comanche with the GTN 750. It has been happening 45 minutes into the flight. Hey guys, I've had this issue for the past few days,it came outta no where and has crippled my flying. The sim in full screen mode runs extremely slow like 8-17 FPS but in windowed mode it runs fine and normal around 60-100fps. I've deleted FSX.CFG and let a new one be created and it solved it for awhile but now its back. I'm having no other issues with my computer and games like GTA V are running at 60FPS on very high settings. I upgraded my pc a month ago and have had many problems trying to install Windows updates successfully as I had a old 2009 windows 7 pro disk which doesn't include service pack 1, and for the past 5 reinstalls of windows 7 I have been trying to install all the updates back from 2009 to when service pack 1 was released which hadn't been working very successfully. So after speaking to a friend today he said you should always install the service pack straight away after installing windows 7 which I did tonight & then managed to get all the following 200 updates installed fine. Hey, I am curious to try out FSX-SE again now that Dovetail is doing some enchancements to it. I am wondering what are the exact or required tweaks required on this platform. I never really got to tweak FSX (original) and moved to p3d at an early stage. But now I have the hardware for it. Hardware: i7-5820K, 2 GTX 980 SLI, Windows 10 Pro, 4K monitor. I bought REX's Wx Architect a couple of days ago and I can't believe it's not possible to set different/opposite wind directions at Departure and Destination. Like for example: 270/5knots in EGLL and 060/10knots in EHAM. Unless I haven't learnt some trick in the program, "WX ARCHITECT" is a serious stretch of its real limited functionality. I'm sorry. About two months ago, i purchased REX Soft Clouds. I havent touched it since, and now I seek to intall it. In the programs selection screen, I pick Set 01 and choose to install it. Sorry in advance - this is probably an old chestnut but I'm having no luck with my forum searches. Here's my problem. My freeware Agusta 109a helicopter is unresponsive when I first select it in FSX. I have to slew, rise up and unslew to crash it. From then on it works perfectly, including subsequent landings and takeoffs. I've also had this same problem with some other freeware helicopters. Is there a simple fix, perhaps in aircraft.cfg, for this?

I installed an rxpGNS430 into the Carenado E50P Phenom 100 to use for the GPS source and to aid in loading flight plans etc. Works great. Now I am trying to substitute a toggle to active the pop up rxpGNS. The PFD on the E50P has a toggle hotspot (gauge03 in the Vcockpit01 window) at the Prodigy logo that toggles a window with the 2d PFD. I never us that so I want to have that hotspot toggle the rxpGNS (Window08) but I'm running out of altitude & airspeed in my attempts. Ok, I believe this has been addressed and there is a result here for this but I can't find it so I'll just write it ... again. Is there a way to assign the correct lights to the correct switch on the default 737 overhead panel. I'm using 3D lighting from A2A 3D lights redux and the VC upgrade from Alejandro but I've noticed the Logo light comes on with the Nav lights and the cockpit light turns on the wing lights too and there is no light for the wheel light or a beam for the taxi light. Anyone know how to fix this on the default 737-800?

Hey Guys, Having a bit of trouble trying to get the internal sounds of the aircraft to play through my speakers rather then my headset. Have set up within the fsx settings my speakers from the drop down box and all seems to be okay there with the engine sounds playing through the speakers however the internal sounds such as the first officer call outs and the fasten seatbelt chime seem to play through my headset. When I take out the USB for the headset all aircraft sounds play through my speakers however I would like to be able to keep the headset on for the microphone while flying on vatsim and have all the sounds coming from my speakers.
