I wanted to purchase FSX Acceleration for FSX but had a question before doing so. Can I run the main outside view with scenery and HUD only ? (F-18) No panel. I need a Hud only view for my cockpit. Craig

Hi Chris, I wonder if you've ever given any thought to shorter (in terms of height) lights. I know there's probably a standard height for light poles but, often trees obscure the lights in the real world...especially in neighborhoods. I wonder what the effect would be? Gregg

Hi all, When I load the plane (PMDG 737-800 NGX) and fill in the route in the FMC, there are no waypoint shown. The route is shown, but no names of waypoint, sids or stars. Also the engine display is empty, no figures at all at all gauges. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be? Cheers, Ryan

Hi All, Does anyone know of a site that maps the recommended seating layout based on the number of passengers? For example if I have 33 passengers; that could be modelled as 6 in OA, 10 in OB, 11 in OC, and 5 in OD. I know I've seen this on the interweb, but can't find again, and I can't recall how I stumbled on it in the first place. Cheers, Billy.

Hi. I usually try to solve this kind of problem myself (well, not by myself per se, but googling problems and solving using what other suggested in the past till it work), but I'm at a loss. So, I made a fresh install of FSX today, tried to install FSinn, first I didn't see it in the Addon menu, then tried some solutions while googling the problem and now I have no Addon menu at all. What I did so far - step by step: FSX, aircraft and sceneries installation: Installation of FSX (Gold, which includes the acceleration already, if it makes any difference...) Also, it is my second fresh install of FSX today, I thought something went wrong with the first install sinc…

I want to delete the shader cache file in FSX SE but not sure where it is and what files to delete once I find the folder.

FSX Gold Edition. The strobe and anti-collision lights have stopped working on all the default aircraft. Well I say stopped working, that’s not entirely true. The strobe light sometimes shows working until I pan round to the tail end of the aircraft when it then stops. The anti collision lights do show working but from under each engine as more of a glow and not from the beacons. I cannot say exactly when they stopped working but it is very recently. Weird. I have checked the ‘pilot controls the lights’ in settings, which is checked. I really am hoping for a fix for this from somewhere before I have to carry out the dreaded repair/reinstall. Great question and I am happy that this issue is being discussed. Here in Adelaide, South Australia as I imagine it would be with many other airports, we have a company Regional Express (REX) Airlines who have a specific parking area at the Adelaide airport YPAD (10A? to 10F) for example. When I land at YPAD and contact ground they always seem to send me to some old unused parking area at the back of the airport. I am using AusceneX Adelaide scenery and the aircraft of concern is the SAAB 340 series which are used by this particular company. If I fly other airline liveries eg. Hello all, Does anyone know of any way to feed FSX's location data to iOS's GPS/location services, perhaps via a jailbreak Cydia tweak? I noticed that with some Cydia apps (e.g. PMP) you can fake your location to anywhere in the world, and I'm just wondering if someone has tried this to fool the real world EFBs (like Air Navigation Pro/JeppFD/OzRunways etc.) into accepting FSX location data. AFAIK FSXFlight is only compatible with Foreflight and FSXMapperHD feed FSX data into its own custom mapping app.

I have seen many references to incorrect matching between the VIEW and the SOUND being heard. Pressing Q twice to turn the sound off then back on is sometimes suggested as a cure. In my experience the only repeatble way to ensure that the SOUND is correct when the VIEW is changed is to press Q twice BEFORE changing the view (don't ask me why!). Would someone cleverer than me be able to write a script which sends a sequence of commands equivalent to Q,Q,S from the keyboard, either from a hotkey on the keyboard or from a joystick button?

Hey guys, I have a WestJet 737 that I normally park at gate B22-Terminal 3 at CYYZ Pearson Airport as the real aircraft does, I would like to know what I need to do to make sure ATC Directs me to that specific Gate all the time I ask, as well as I also want to make that gate reserved for my aircraft (no AI aircraft will ever park there)*I am currently using Traffic2005 and also have Ultimate Traffic available is one or the other is easier to conigure

Hi all, I am currently flying the Aerosoft's Airbus serie IAE engined aircrafts and for a while now, I have decided to became a more sophisticated flight planner as well. The first thing I've done was to install PFPX and in time I learned quite a lot from it. It gives me pleasure to use it but I cannot use TOPCAT with PFPX, (I did not even buy it) since it doesn't support any Aerosoft aircraft. So I wonder if you have some advices of any alternatives to TOPCAT. Also there is a performance sheet printing feature in the aerosoft's Airbus as well and I cannot be sure if such an add-on is really necessary for realism. I am waiting for your advices. So, I've not been able to find a solution to this anywhere online that works. I upgraded to win 10 and have been trying to get FSX:Deluxe to install, but it keeps throwing installer errors either 1611 or 1628. I've tried literally everything found online and nothing seems to correct the issues. anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Any ideas why the EZdok Zoom ratio no longer shows on the upper RH screen. Just loaded all my FSX and associated files to a new computer, everything amazingly still works other than this. and I get one tool tip,"engines are not started" and the tool tips is unchecked in fsx settings!

I think I asked this in the past but things change as new developments occur. I have been away from fsx for awhile now and am wondering what the best atc software out there is. I fly mainly jetliners like the 737 ngx or pmdg 777. I have voxatch but have been looking at pro atc x. For awhile it seemed like they vanished but I am not sure that is the case anymore.
