Many months of happy usage flying my A2A C172 with all the maintenance, check list etc immersion with FSX Legacy. 2 weeks ago, I decided to clean my PC with a brand new install of W7 and took advantage to give the Steam edition a try... Hello gentlemen, Back in 1994 a few friends and I flew to Las Vegas for a week so we could enjoy a vacation and spot some aircraft coming from Nellis, as well as perform some other activities :wink: . At that time, I was aware of Area 51, Groom Lake, Dreamland, whatever you wish to name it. Hi community, In recent times, I've noticed that with my FSX install (to it's own dedicated SSD) it reaches a point of around 60-70% full where my frame rates really start to suffer. At this time, I cannot afford to upgrade my system, so I've decided to effectively change the way I fly. Usually, I do fresh installs based around different world regions. Currently I have most of my scenery set up for the U.K and Western Europe, and I do relatively short flights in 737 and Avro RJ type aircraft. Today, I intend to modify my sim. Hi, I have just reset my fsx cfg file and wanted to apply the automatic tweaks on *******' Automated tweaking and tuning tool site, but for some reason it keeps coming up with the error "Your request could NOT be processed. Reason: This is an FSX only tool. The file you sent is NOT recognized as a valid fsx.cfg file." I have used this tool many times before and this is the first time I have come across this problem. i have just tried about 20 times, using both the "copy string" method and manually browsing for the file, and nothing is working. Hello All; Wanted to know if any of you use V Sync with FSX SE and Steves DX10 fixer? For some reason I cant really see any difference with it being OFF and 1/2 Refresh. The only thing is that if its turned ON, in Windowed mode the performance decreases by half. Many Thanks,

I was trying to download the CFG. guide, I know there are a few of them out there but the file seems to be mission and I believe it was version 2.0. I just built a new system with the I7-4790K and I want to know the best tweaking guides out there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Shayne

Imaginesim a couple months ago released updates to their ZSPD and WSSS scenery, for my FSX installation it removed all night lighting at WSSS, and there is no runway lighting at the new ZSPD runway. The support team emailed me back telling me they pulled the updates and were working on fixes. I tried emailing them last week and have still not heard back. Did a main developer leave their team or are they busy with other projects? It would be nice to be able to fly to these airports again.

I posted this over on the SimForums but to date I've had no replies, so I thought I'd try here. There is a tweak somewhere that I have tried, but after a reinstall of FSX I've forgotten what I need to do. When editing the camera positions and using the keyboard keys to move the camera, the moves are too big and I need to allow the camera to move in smaller amounts. Can anyone help? Cheers

ILS landing question: After tuning in the airport frequency into the nav1 radio based on the info from the ATIS report for an ILS approach into Gran Canaria, rather than line up with the runway the plane instead turned around and started flying out into the ocean. I left it to see what it did and it just kept flying out into nowhere. No matter what ILS frequency I tuned in it still did the same thing. Why is this? Also on approach to some airports the GPS wont pick up the airport code, even for large international airports, meaning I cant set the ILS frequency seemingly meaning I have no other choice but to manually land the plane. Hi. I have a problem with aircraft textures in FSX-SE not always displaying correctly. It a bit of a strange problem and I have not found any posts that relate to this despite searching for a few days. I'm not a total newb as I used to fly regularly a few years back but now I got the bug again. I have installed a few add ons such as Rex 4 and ORBX FTX Global base and FTX England scenery and a few aircraft. The problem I have is the aircraft textures disappear when changing views leaving just a white surface. This also happens to the cockpit and instrument panels although the dials are still as they should be. After anything between a few seconds to a few minutes they will…

I have the new Jahn DC-3 but it has the newer style panel. Someone was doing an older style VC and I'm wondering if anyone has any news or (!) a link to it. I'd even be happy getting the V1.0 VC working on the new model, or alternatively getting repaints for ver 1.2 (there seem to be a lot of them) working on ver 1. I have tried ver 1.2 repaints on the ver 1 model and everything seems ok except the props are all black. Any help appreciated.

Hey all. As I was late to the FSX:SE party, I'm only now trying to resolve problems and/or changed stuff. I've discovered that I seem to be having an issue in saving flights. When I save a flight, I can't find it again in the load flight screen. This occurs whether I save a flight at the free flight screen, or if I save it from the menu while in an aircraft. In addition, saving a flight and tagging it as 'Make this the default flight' is not working either. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I installed My Traffic 6 into a clean FSX install. After running the My Traffic Communicator to "localise" FSX and My Traffic and also add the CFG entry (all as per the instructions), I try to add My Traffic in the Scenery Library in FSX. Problem is that My Traffic folder does not exist in the Flight Simulator X directory, so I cannot add it. I cannot find it by going to the folder direct either (outside the simulator. I can see the My Traffic Folder outside the FSX directory in the location is should be in but it has not placed any reference to itself in the FSX root directory. I uninstalled and reinstalled and again, there is no My Traffic folder in the …

I've just started encountering a problem and I don't know what initiated it. When I fly FSX SP1&2 on my high end PC (4790K) with the Carenado Phenom 100 and registered FSUIPC4, everything is fine until I connect to the PilotEdge client, then when I go back to FSX the Saitek Pro yoke & throttle are disconnected. If I fly the Carenado Archer under the identical conditions and start the PE client and go back everything is fine. I tried setting the JoystickTimeout=5000 in FSUIPC4.ini thinking the Phenom model took longer and it was timing out but no joy. I'm not using the Saitek profiler or drivers, just the windows drivers and FSUIPC for some button assignments (…

FSX Gold Edition I have started getting a green 'Airport Cache Loaded' banner showing for a few seconds each time I start FSX and load a saved flight. Any ideas why this is happening anyone please.

Hi everyone, I have just purchased ssw f84 on sale. this aircraft though very nice to look at, eats up precious vas at an alarming rate and inevitably causes oom ctd. 1. i have tested using the ssw f84, m2m mirage 2000 and the JF tornado. 2. on loading the ssw f84, through fsuipc i can see that there is between 800 - 750 mb vas left with the f 84. on startup and arming this figure goes down to about 500 mb. on takeoff 450 - 375 mb. during circuits the dreaded ding starts and oom message on final. all this happens in a time frame of seven to nine minutes. effecctively, i cant fly the ssw f84 more than 10 min at a time. 3. no such problem with the m2m mirage. Flying the PMDG 737-800 NGX Pre-Pre flight, I'll go to flight aware and choose a real world route between two airports, usually peek at any sids / stars at airnav.
