I just started looking into how to make FSX movies. First I thought I would only use FS Recorder with FRAPS and then Sony Movie Studio to make a movie from a FS Recorder replay but now I thought it would be cool to also record live flights on VATSIM and what I wonder is how to record both the sound from FSX as well as the sound from ATC (both my own voice going into the mic of the headset as well as ATC and other pilots voices coming out from the headset headphones. I've seen these type of movies many times where you hear both the sound from FSX as well as the ATC sound but I can't really figure out how to set this up. The title says it all really. I've just moved to Windows 10 and although FSX-SE loads up really quickly compared with W7, this is possibly because I have no AI traffic. All my WoAI aircraft are in the correct folder and traffic level is set for 55% but nothing at all shows up at any airport. I did a search but could not find any reference to this problem but I did see some problems attributed to FSDT's GSX. Could that be the problem here? I'd appreciate any suggestions as to the likely cause. Thanks. Iain Smith

i'm interested in picking up a king air style plane for GA and wondering if anybody has the milviz and flight1 versions if you could comment on if one is particularly better or the other. just how far along is the milviz one anyway, from their page it says it is still early access but doesn't really specifically list what is missing or what the timeframe is for completion? is the navigraph integration solid? am i correct in understanding the flight1 version doesn't have updateable navdata? i'm also wondering about their glass cockpit as their mustang absolutely kills fps in the VC on my system, even though it worked well in 2d, wondering if that is a similar performance a…

Hello, I have a question regarding the jetways in fsx. I have tried to operate these before without any luck. Recently i got gsx (fantastic addon), and after landing in EKCH, gsx said something like "remember to operate the jetway", so i would like to ask if anyone knows how to do that? Cheers, Kim.

So I have manged to get a hold of bunch of airports within North American continent: On the east coast I got FlyTampa CYYZ, FSDreamTeam KJFK, FlyTampa KBOS, KMIA, FlightBeam's KIAD. On the west coast I got FSDreamTeam KLAX & CYVR, FlightBeam's KSFOHD, Aerosoft Anchorage and T2G KSEA. Here is my issue, I have essentially all of those airports for North America, and some of you might see a problem here, they are all either East Coast or West Coast, nothing in the middle. So I have decided that I will purchase an airport for continental US, somewhere in the central states. I keep getting an "Out of memory" error when I use the Navigraph AIRAC setup. My computer has almost 90 GB of free space and the AIRAC 1510 update for my Level-D 767-300 only requires at least 354.6 MB. That error should not happen. The Navigraph set up allways worked in the past, but it is giving me problems now. Here is a screenshot: Please help, I need to update my Level-D 767-300 and my other planes. Thanks you!

Hi all, i cannot get this game to run smooth. Ive literally tried every tweak on the web and its just not working so im not sure what im doing wrong. My computer specs are as follows AMD PHENOM 1090T 3.20 memory 8gb gtx 780ti graphics Im currently getting around 6-10 fps at gatwick 2000 and even less at egll making the game totally unplayable. Ive tried editing the fsx.cfg and that doesnt help. My nvidia inspector doesnt change anything in the game, im still getting shimmers and jagged edges on the planes so its like its not even recognising it, the only way i can get rid is to turn on aa in the game Can someone give me some idea of where to start, i know my s…

Pilots I installed qw757 but i do not see any sid or star in the fmc also a reinstall does not slove the problem i am using navdata but also this install does not help i just don't see any sid or star or runway.... can someone help me with this? thanx

FSX starts. No weather. Opus FSI is started at the departure airport. Opus wx report is correct. However, FSX displayed weather and Opus weather are very close but not the same. Often the problem is visibility. Opus says 3.6 miles/FSX says 5 miles and displays 5 miles. FSX seems like it does not like low visibility and likes to "default" to something higher. FSX wx engine is disabled. Only Opus wx engine is operational. There seems to be some minor problem with Opus injecting its wx report into FSX that will make FSX display the correct weather. Hello, just wondering if there is any way of getting rid of jagged lines in FSX ? Take this picture of a Dash 8, the edges of the wings for example, they are very jagged and uneven, how can I prevent this ? Thanks in advance.

I've got T2G's KMCO and fly Concorde in and out to various airports. The problem is the only heavy gates are well away from the main terminal buildings and I'm parked facing a very bland building. It might as well be the default scenery. I know Virgin Atlantic fly there in real life but do all heavy aircraft park so far away from the main terminals? And if they do is T2G version of KMCO accurate around those terminals? It doesn't appear so.

Perhaps I am still missing something, but I have always thought that the camera function within OPUS is extremely convoluted and unnecessarily difficult to set up. That being said, Ive read the manuals and have tried for 2 years to successfully set up external aircraft views. I am able to successfully set up multiple VC views and can effectively cycle through those views using a key command I setup in the shortcuts. I use Cntl + J to cycle up and cntrl + I to cycle down. Why dont these controls work when I am switched to opus external view? I have setup multiple external views successfully. However I am unable to cycle through them. I must be doing something wrong as the EagleSoft Development Group Website shows they are on FaceBook but I cannot find it in FB on my I-phone 6. Tried a variety of different searches to no avail. I've never had this problem on other versions of FSX but since I have recently changed over to Windows 10, from Windows 7, I tend to blame the OS for this and not the Steam version of Fsx. What happens is that occasionally and seemingly at random, although probably more with PMDG products (video intensive?) the mouse cursor totally vanishes and pressing or moving the mouse produces a long series of beeps. I close FSX using the keyboard but the problem remains until I reboot the computer. I should mention that I play FSX in Nvidia Surround on three monitors. I have had mouse problems outside of Fsx since Windows 10 even though I think I have the correct drivers. I hav…

Yep... Me again.... I love this aircraft especially since I travel on it often going to visit my sis in uruguay. Aerolineas Austral uses the Embraer 190 from SABE to SUMU and back.... Trying to create the same roundtrip. In the interest of saving time each time I reload to work out items that no manual clearly defines... After upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I had a relatively good experience, but when I fired up FSX and went to my plane's cockpit view, there was always a 30 second reset that was annoying. I was on the tarmac with my default plane and airport setting and the whole thing froze for 30 seconds and then all was fine. I did have some other issues that were annoying, but I found the solution. You HAVE TO rename the old CFG and let the sim re-build. It helped everything. I really believe in this and even though it's a little bit of a pain approving every addon and resetting most of the settings, it's well worth it IMHO. If you're having issues with little prob…

Bought both the embraer 170/190 e-jet series by Wilco and the feel there 175/195 On two separate flights.... had an interesting bug (I think) come up.. Couldnt find anything on this.... 1. MFD route and FMS Flight plan progress showed no update though the jet was flying the route. I seemed to be stuck just ahead of the first waypoints in the FP. Take of was fine, LNAV & RNAV seeme to be doing the job but the plane cursor on the mfd was static.... as was the legs in the fmc. Any ideas? Spent a couple of long flights but ended up lost because I didnt know my actual position.... Thanks.

First of all, I wish to thank Avsim for their huge contribution to the community, and their work is priceless, therefore I support their stand in protecting developers. I have received some emails regarding FSX-SE and if we permit the usage, I have responded to the customers and I have also created a thread regarding this issue. Hi all, I am not american, so I was not born with endemic "lawyeritis" :smile: The topic about LatinVFR SanDiego release has been recently locked. From what I understood it is because somebody asked how to install the scenery into FSX-SE and he was told that it is illegal to do so because the product was not developed for FSX-SE. I have successfully installed both Latin VFR San Diego and Utopia San Diego buildings into FSX-SE. Many FSX addons were not specifically developed for FSX Steam Edition and most of us have installed them in FSX-SE. Are we all outlaws for the U.S.A. legal system? Jean-Jacques

Hi, I'm a long time user of FSX. Recently, when I load any airport using day settings, it will load with the correct settings but after about a minute it stops and says "Loading Terrain" after which it starts again with night settings. I have ORBX and PMDG installed. Sounds a little like a scenery issue but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Yesterday, I remember thinking to myself "Hmm, I wonder if any of the small things I've created for the FlightSim series are still available anywhere..."
