I am trying to change a FS2004 aircraft MDL to FSX Steam native MDL. This means I don't have a FSX SDK that came with the old FSX before DG resold it, so is it possible to convert the MDL: and if so, how exactly? I am not very good with modelling on computers, and the Model Converter X does not work well either.

hello now in Berlin they are using 7R and 24L (and closing at night which is causing diversions to HAJ) is there a way to activate the runways but keep the SXF terminal in the North open. I know on the configuration program you can choose BER or SXF. I want to be able to use the SXF terminal and 7R/24L if I choose BER on the config program it uses the new terminal and 7R / 24L has anyone made a new afcad for it ?? Thanks

Hello, Guys! This topic looks a little weird but I need. I want when I land an aircraft in FSX, a tool automatically detect landing and should tell me like this: "It was hard landing" OR "It was soft landing" OR "It was bad landing" OR "It was great landing" etc... Fresh install of Win 10 Fresh install of FSX SE All Hardware running fine... Default Trike at Friday Harbour... NI applied 30 FPS locked 1/2 synch so it goes like this.... nice and smooth...then judder judder judder...smooth judder...well you get the idea! especially in the turns....Vsynch issue? ..not sure However frustration got the better of me and I turned on DX10 in the sim...well what !!!! no stutter or judder just smooth...what is going on? Reinstalled the Runtimes for DX9...must be that ...no just works in DX 10 ...strange...the odd thing is now NI will not work...FSX SE just ignores the settings... This Win 10...is really throwing up …

Little issue here. Not sure who flys for a VA and tried to use the Q400 for flights, but when Ive tried, even though the preflight it recognizes the aircraft, it will not see the engine start. Ive tried some different configurations, perhaps wrong in setup procedure, but nonetheless it will not see it. Perhaps something to do with the external model outside FSX or something?

I am guessing that I am not the only person out there who has used the mouse wheel to scroll through gauge changes (bug and freq/alt etc) rather than "left click or left click hold" ? I re-loaded some software and de-fragged and here's different things I have done to try and to get it back, yet failed: 1. Reset FSX.cfg file 2. Got rid of Aero in Win7 mouse settings 3. added/deleted every possible mouse combo inside FSUIPC4 "miscellaneous". Pete Dowson wrote me that that setting is not part of FSUIPC anyway. 4. Turned on/off mouse yoke inside FSX 5. reloaded a couple of 3rd party aircraft to see if that helped....nope. It was a really great convenience to scroll and spin…

Have logged about 40 hours in the Turbine Duke V2 and all has gone well. Well mostly! On my last three or four flights I have been getting a beep at several-second intervals with the master warning flashing. It is not a horn. This was not happening to me on a number of previous flights so it has me mystified. It typically begins when I pass through approx 12,000 ft and continues until I level off, usually somewhere between FL200 and FL250. It quits when I level off. I am in the green everywhere and usually climbing at approx 2200 to 2400 FPM at 160 to 170 KIAS. Torque at about 1050 and RPM at 2000. When it happened on the first flight I thought it was a stuck…

Does anyone know if FSWidgets free GMap products work with Windows10, as according to the documentation it says IE7 is necessary as it uses that browser interface, and since Windows10 uses a new Edge browser, I wonder whether they would still work? Thanks, Stuart

I can't get AA in windowed mode. Never could. I'm using latest drivers. RadeonPro crashes FSX... so I can't use that.

Hey guys. Im looking for some of the more unusual aircrafts as addons in either fsx or p3d. Im thinking along the lines of concorde, sr71 etc. I already have the concorde from fslabs. The addon doesnt have to be payware but it must be good quality. Any ideas?

When my default 737-800 is on approach it tilts up a TON, so much so that I cannot even see the runway below me. This tilting up eventually turns into an uncontrolled stall smashing me into the ground. This only happens when I am flying level. Not when I am descending or ascending. (It remains titled even when flying level) (Manual landing) -speed is set at 155 knots (autothrottle & speed hold on) -altitude is set to 2000-2500ish (the airport is at 1555 ft) -All autopilot items disengaged on minimums for flare. Any help solving this issue would be greatly appreciated! -GT

I am wondering how to brighten the cockpit panels in-game. I see how to outside by modifying the cfg file, but I just want to know if you can within the game itself. Like on glass cockpit planes, or a CRJ-200. I've forgotten how to over the years. Thanks

I fly in full screen mode but have to switch to windowed to launch and configure some other programs (PilotEdge client and X-Split Broadcaster for example). Usually when I switch back to full screen I get ta major texture drop. I have a new high end machine (specs below) and have tweaked fsx.cfg as close to the AVSIM Basic Guide as possible (see relevant parts of fsx.cfg below) and have set my GTX 970 MS Flight Simulator X profile through NVI again pretty much according to that guide. This scenery area is Latin VFR KSNA Airport with MegaScenery LAX SAN TAC and MegaScenery California South, so pretty intense. After getting set up it flies fine and I get ~ 45 – 55 FPS (unli…

I was wondering if anyone knows of any updates for FSX that will update most or all airports and airways. I know you can buy payware airports, but I'm not sure if they are all up to date. Specifically I would like to get Chicago O'Hare updated so that it has the new runways 28/10. If it is also possible I would like to update the airways (vor, star, etc) although it isn't necessary.

I installed Ray Smith's KMEM, now I have three towers. Is this the way Memphis is supposed to be? I've not installed any other scenery for this area. I have no duplicate bgl's in the add on scenery file. I found the default Memphis.bgl in the scenery, NAMC. Could this be causing the problem? I removed Ray's file and the three towers are still there. Anyone had issues with this?

Hi All, I posted this topic in the DX10 Fixer forum, but didn't get any help. So, I'm posting it here, with the hope that more of you will see it and have some good advice. Been using the awesome DX10 Fixer for a while now, with phenomenal results. The only exception being - WATER. For the life of me, I just can't seem to find a setup that will give me a realistic looking ocean water, Atlantic ocean, specifically. I haven't even bothered to check the tropical water because I almost always fly near the east coast, where I live. My favourite aircraft in FSX tend to be twin props. Lately I've been flying the Duke and the F27. Now I'm looking to enjoy the Q400 and I'm wondering what hardware people are using and their various experiences with it. I have a mix of Saitek (rudder, panels) and Goflight (yoke, throttle) which have generally worked quite well so far. I'm happy to throw more into the mix if it will add to the immersion. So, what are you using and what hardware do you feel has added most to your enjoyment of the Q400? Regards, Steve.

I see a new version of the CS 727 is out, is it possible to fit in an FMC that displays in the virtual cockpit instead of the INS?

I have always been a GA guy, but i want to get into the world of the big ones. What are your suggestions to a first payware airliner? My goal is to learn how to fly it, and start to get comfortable. I'd like something a bit cheaper and less complicated than the PMDG 737, but i have no complains if its the most suitable for me. Must be FSX-SE compatible! Thanks in advance.
