The first payware add-on for FSW is available now: FS-Flightcontrol gives you control over every aspect of your flight and includes a moving map too, visit the homepage here: https://www.fs-flightcontrol.com/en/ FS-Flightcontrol also works with FSX, FSX:SE, X-Plane and that submarine simulator I mean P3D, so it's got to be great value... You can select which sim you want to use it with on launch, it then loads the scenery.cfg for that sim on first run: Then specify your start location and any other factors you require: There's a free 14-day trial, it's a 58mb download which took about 20 seconds on my PC, give it a try!

First, there was Flight School for $15 which was an excellent first jump into the flight sim world. We knew a more robust sim was coming after FS, but we did not know that by owning FS, we would get FSW for free. FSW gives us a 64bit structure, Orbx baked in, great rain effects (on both the front and side windows), heavily detailed modeled default planes, a mission builder and then a series of new features (C&D walk through, Truesky) to enhance the product...with more to come (like animated passengers). So, one can complain about what it doesn’t have…and what needs to improve. But when (in the flight sim world) has anyone been able to get so much for so…

So I see PMDG has just released a DC-6, fantastic I say....I think I'll get this one.....WHAT...$70 US....nearly $100 Canadian? I know they good. I know they are high end planes. They must know what they are doing, right? But there is no way in Hades that I could or would ever afford to spend that much on one plane. How about a dumbed down version for say $40. Sad...is this "fake news?" Bryan

The release of P3D V4 and others have highlighted, to me at least, a glaring problem in downloading files. It almost seems like pot luck that I'm going to get the latest version of my purchase when files do not show the version number. Sure, some developers do put a version number in the file name but that seems to be a rarity. Look at Carenados file names, what? I even wasted time and bandwidth, twice, with PMDG stuff because Aerosoft directed their USA downloads to an older version, avoidable if the version number was in the file name. And another gripe, I recently downloaded a 2.2GB file only to find when unzipped it contained a version for Windows, MAC, and Linux. How…

Got this to my personal email today - 31 July 2017. Moderators; I know there's a sticky above but I wasn't sure whether to post as a new topic so people see it's still going on, and then perhaps it could be moved. Apologies if wrong, etc Anyway, this time he's called himself Tony but the things still pirated Flight Gear and MSFS screenshots. I hope people don't fall for this. We're mostly all hardened simmers here so know its pants but I feel sorry for those less sim savvy that might be taken in. The heartless b******d is going after the naive and vulnerable. I'd also like to know where he got my personal email from - which store or forum he either bou…

Hi guys! Now that we have a 64 bits simulator and vas is not an issue anymore, can you maybe consider modelling some part of the virtual cabin in your future aircrafts?? In the DC-6 cargo plane for example in the middle of the flight i wish to be able to walk back there to check if those chickens are ok. Also in the 747F i wish to go to the crew rest area to make a coffee, or go downstairs to see if those ferraris are strapped . Maybe not the entire cabin, maybe only some part of it. In some 747's maybe the first class cabin, or the crew rest area etc?

United is flying the last ever domestic 747 trip tonight. UA 2704 departs ORD at 1830 and arrives SFO at 2051. Flight Aware doesn't show it, it did yesterday, but the UAL website does. I was on the PAA inaugural 747 flt ORD to SNN in window seat 2F and the Capt announced that those seated in rows 1 to 3 etc would arrive before the flight deck crew. On the return 747 trip the Capt announced a fully automated landing at O'hare. Had a meal in the upper deck on one of those trips, if I remember correctly. I've logged many hours on these great planes and am really sorry to see them go. http://www.businessinsider.com/boeing-747-united-retire-chicago-sanfrancisco-flig…

Hi, I use a Saitek-based hardware panel (driven by SAPD.neXt) which works perfect with FSW. At least during cruise, I would prefer a view of the scenery only. The minimum I can get now is the cone-only view. Others sims (FSX, Prepar3d and XP) allow a scenery-only view. Would it be possible it implement this? Thanks and kind regards, Michael

Hmmm ... Short flight from Port Lincoln YPLC to Tumby Bay YTBB after offloading my not quite FSW Orbx sceneries. Thought I would give the Luscombe a try out as it is a nice model. First the white screen thing where I had to tab to find the gauge not found message and hit cancel which continued into the load screen. It is a slow plane, ideal for sightseeing but no match for playing find the airport. Even with constant switching back to the flight planner I could not find YTBB so ended up landing where I thought it was and failing the flight. Ok, next attempted the flight in reverse and picked the PA18 so no error messages came up. Guess what? I could not find Pt Lincoln ai…
