  3. I just tried this tip from: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/openxr-200-msfs-render-scale-50-incredible-clarity-and-smoothness-on-g2/460452/90 I was skeptical but indeed the combination works well. The only drawback I could see is that this 200x50 combination somehow whacked the AA for some reason. Many jagged lines but texture clarity is really sharp in G2, plus the fps definitely increased. I would like 100x100, but the fps is too low.

So in the feedback snapshot they say controller support will release in mid november with sim update 7. What do you guys expect? Do you think it will be like in x-plane or do you think they will have like fully modeled hands with finger tracking?

I have tried every combination of starting VR prior to MSFS, starting VR at the MSFS Menus, Starting MSFS from the VR desktop, running full screen, with no luck... When entering the cockpit (this is both in the 152 and the JF Arrow III so far) mouse disappears. The win-Y, win D, toggling Alt-Enter, pressing any of the mouse buttons has no effect. windows 10 up to date, latest Nvidia drivers... This started with SU5. I also noticed that once I leave VR back to 2D, MSFS will not allow me to renter VR. (this is microsoft store version, wmr is current and working with all other software). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wont fly without VR and currentl…

I had this in X Plane 11 in VR, a fine investment it was. Not so much in this sim yet I think. In the blurb it mentions Beta stage for VR, fair enough, but I have had a major PC crash and numerous sound breaks/stutters with Arrow, Seminole,C172 and Caproni jet. For me it's a Foxtrot Oscar stage. Anyone else suffering?

  8. Taxiing and taking off is fine. But after a flight of say an hour or so, upon descending I get annoyingly long pauses. The spinning 'hourglass' wait icon and a real immersion-killer when looking right or left while in VR.... I am running Oculus Rift with the OpenXR runtime, latest nVidia drivers and my specs are below. The problem feels like that same stutter-fest we all saw after SU5 when moving the camera around. Although its gotten a lot better since SU6, I still get this problem after flying for awhile. I'm not a newbie to this hobby and I am fairly adept at troubleshooting, but I cant help but think that something in my setup is not optimal. Just doesn't f…

Hello friends, I am new in this forum. I have the following problem: When starting MSFS 2020 with VR-Glasses I get the following message: VR-Kamera zurücksetzen (reset VR-Camera). Bitte weisen Sie dieser Aktion einen Befehl zu (Please assign a command to this action) and when I press the button "zuweisen" (assign) nothing happens. Thanks in advance for your help regards Helifan07

I've been researching this topic for weeks and can't find a solution. I'm also having trouble describing it so please bare with me. When I connect my Quest 2 and enter VR in MSFS 2020, everything is fine until I start my flight and am sitting in the cockpit. Looking in front of me I can see the panel & runway like normal, but when I move side to side to side or front to back, the cockpit moves with me! I can't put my face against the side window to look out, or lean forward to see the instruments more closely. It is ruining my experience and I have been over the controls and settings so many times. I just don't know what to do. Is anyone else having this proble…

Hi folks. I am tearing my hair out with Airlink and MSFS. Here's what I am seeing: If I just leave everything at default (Oculus app) and start up Airlink, everything is great and responsive. By that I mean the Airlink screens are clear, no display issues and the controllers are responsive. Then when I start MSFS, suddenly everythiung changes, super laggy and weird black windows, just a mess. And I am just talking about having MSFS up on a monitor. A few weeks ago this was not happening. I don't know what is happening. My PC is very powerful (i9-10900, ASUS RTX 3090, 64gb of memory, and all M.2 drives). Can anyone shed some light on what's going on and at least …

Looking at picking up a VR headset, but having seen random bits around the forums it sounds like you need a pretty high FPS rate to have a good experience. Trying to figure out if my hardware will handle VR in MSFS without having to dumb down the eye candy too much. I have no idea which headset I'd even be looking at so I guess I'm just looking for a general "yeah you'll be fine" or "well you'll be ok if you turn X/Y/Z down a bit" or, "don't bother until you get a new GPU". Right now I'm running a 5950X with a 2080 Super FTW3 and 32GB of RAM. Typically getting mid-upper 40's to locked at mid-50's in nearly all situations at 3440x1440 on High with a few Ultra throw…

I upgraded to Windows 11 and though it does load up a VR in MSFS, it is jerky and very poor I rolled back to win 10 and all is well in VR land Not ready yet IMHO

  17. Has anyone noticed a reduction in input latency with Helis that use the Airland physics, notably the 135 and r44? On my systems, even with reprojection on, it's much shorter. The 47g hasn't changed at all.

Hi everyone. I don't have any issue actually using Airlink but when I click the Home button on the Airlink menu bar I just get a spinning icon and Home never loads. I have looked all over the internet for a solution and tried a number of things that worked for other people but so far no luck. Should probably mention PC is now running Windows 11 but I don't think that's the issue. I made sure the Oculus app on my phone was connected as well. HELP? Thanks

  20. Despite my decision to never buy anything Carenado again, I decided to give them a new chance with the new simulation and bought the C170B, which is currently on sale for 10 bucks. Well, ten bucks well spent (not) for renewing an old vow to ignore their stuff. - The C170B is not really working in VR, at least not on my HP Reverb G1: It has the old VR bug with the mouse pointer only matching the position of the controls in the left eye display, so I have to close my right eye to make anything work in the cockpit. My suspicion is that the C170 is not the only plane suffering from this, hence the thread title. - All gages are strangely tiny l(ike 2" diameter mini…

  22. Hi I fear that this is one of those, "Didn't you know THAT, AJZip??? We thought everybody knew THAT!!" 😉 Background - After upgrading my CPU (to a 5800X) and GPU (to a 3080Ti) I've progressively updated most of my drivers/software and have spent quite a long time tweaking&testing&tweaking the myriad of settings to see just how good I can get MSFS to run on my Gen 1 Reverb and I've been pleased with the results. Much better LOD and reduced - but not eliminated - micro-stutter at significantly higher VR settings than I was achieving before And I've followed the sound advice to go by what you see and not chase down the FPS rabbit holes. That sa…

Hi everyone. I have decided to try running MSFS with Virtual Desktop. I would like guidance on what needs to be set up, what steps and in what order to execute to set up a run. I have Virtual Desktop installed in the Q2, I have the VD utility installed on the PC. I can successfully connect to the PC and see the desktop. What I am interested in is: 1. Steam VR setting to use? 2. Should I use the standard Steam OpenXR or a third party OpenXR? 2. VD settings to start out with for Q2 VR (high end gaming PC, i9-10900, ASUS 3090, 32GB RAM, M.2 drives)? 3. The order to do things (I have had issues figuring out exactly how to get MSFS up in VR usin…

With the Just Flight Arrow, I get annoying white flashing through the windscreen center frame which seems to be related to the prop. Any ideas how to correct this.
