Are you experiencing any stutter while moving your head 90 degrees? Does it continue for about a second after you stop moving your head? The flights are perfectly smooth for me until I quickly move my head to look out side windows, or return to forward, even with graphics at minimum. Slower movements are fine. Cheers,

Hello all, I have, after 5 days of tweaking, re-configuring and general problem solving, can now get into MSFS for a flight. After reaching this momentous stage of SU5, I now find a message when I trigger my VR. I get a message saying that I need to configure VR- camera reset. Under Graphics in the General Options, in VR Mode I find a title "VR - Camera Reset, which has a question mark in a dotted square. There is no way I can click on this to change the binding. Clicking on VR mode simply directs me to a screen which says VR-Camera Reset is required to play in VR .. Please assign a command to this action. This screen presents in a locked situation which gives…

Using the Reverb G2 and FS2020 and because of the improved clarity of the G2 there has been a few occasions when I am sitting in the CJ4 flight deck and the aircraft banks left, for a split second I feel that I am in the air high above the ground and get startled. It is an amazing feeling, I cannot believe where we have come with regards to technology in a few years. I can only imagine where we will be in a few years time with the likes of human eye resolution. It will feel 99.99% like being there, now it feels 90% being there!

Default ASW Mode in Oculus Tray Tool: Before SU5 I had to put this setting to "off" to get a smooth experience, now on SU5 I get extreme stutter when looking to the sides with "off" and also with "45hz" or "Automatic" and also If I dont use the Oculus Tray Tool at all. But the 30hz settings makes the game unbelievable smooth. So If you still get stutter, I recommend to download the Oculus Tray Tool and put the ASW Mode to 30hz. That "setting" had the biggest influence on my VR experience so far. Im using the premade setup "High" for VR and manually put only the glasscockpit refresh rate setting to high + cockpit effects settings to ultra (I tested it, that …

After the last update, I am receiving an error message: "FlightSimulator.exe has stopped working." NONE of the suggestions that I've tried seemed to resolve this issue. I wonder if it's possible to back out an update?

SU 5 changed the way some push-buttons work so that you somethimes have to rightclick a button to be able to left click it. How does this interract with the VR Focus (right click) thingie?

After SU-5 the performance of MSFS is incredible for me with my Index. With Supersampling at 150% and everything maxed out at ultra accept render scale at 100% i get rock solid performance even skimming the roofs of Manhattan. I get around 30-35 fps according to fpsVR but it feels completely smooth in VR - not one stutter whatever I do. But I did have a problem when CTRL+TAB:ing to start VR where it crashed the game every time. Just CTD with no errors. After fiddeling around I realized it stopped if I disabled the power management so the hubs do not power down when I shut down Steam VR. So try that if you experience the same behaviour.

Folks, this is what we can look forward to in 5 years time. When these headsets will become affordable by then. The new headsets provide pilots and flight crews with an unmatched level of realism that replicates the exact feeling and conditions needed for rigorous training and simulation, Mäkinen said. https://venturebeat.com/2020/12/01/varjo-launches-new-generation-of-human-eye-resolution-vr-headsets/

...so my HMD died (Reverb G1) a little over two weeks ago, on and off with HP support and eventually a new headset getting sent through hopefully later this week, thankfully it's still under warranty! In the meantime I've tried to have a few flights and whilst it's manageable (I did fly a fair few hours before the VR update got released), it's just not the same and I know this, but I still feel that urge to fly and even pancake mode can itch that scratch...slightly! But it's just not the same. I've become so accustomed to VR in recent years I know I cannot fully live without it, it's become an absolute essential part of my cockpit based simming life.

Hi there, I was thinking about getting into VR and I search for a cheap and descent headset compatible with MSFS. I found a good deal on the HP Windows Mixed Reality, is it any good? In general, are they all compatible with MSFS? Thanks a lot a sorry if it has been already asked somewhere!

Does anyone else have this problem, Using a g2 with a 3060, usually about 30 minutes into a flight my screen will just freeze up with big black areas in the headset. It stays like this for about 30 seconds (while I pray to the crash gods to spare me) and returns like nothing is wrong. ‘it sometimes happens twice in a 2 hour flight just wondering if anyone else is seeing this thanks

I'm not alone in seeing massive FPS loss and Stuttering with certain nVidia Drivers in recent months, so I set about this evening to do some identical tests and....well the pictures speak for themselves really! (RTX2070Super, Reverb G1) Here you can see the FPS loss the Newer the driver gets: In this one you can see why, massive Frametime issues in the latest driver compared to the older one:

I am curious which renderer do you prefer and why? (i.e. OpenXR, SteamVR) Sim: MSFS2020 Headset: HP Reverb G2 Renderer: SteamVR Why: I get benefit from steamvr overlay functionality. (Like using Ivao Altitude in the cockpit)

I just sold my Reverb G2 and I don't plan any other VR purchase anytime soon. You may think "why would we care" and that's fine, I just want to give advice to potential buyers. I bought the thing on Amazon and I had 15 days to try it. I wish I had sent it back in March but I missed this opportunity and lost about 150 € selling it used. I was already uncertain at the time, after only 10 days, and that was a big red flag. Don't make the same mistake, try it a decent number of hours and if you have any doubt, send it back for a refund. For me, it was not the G2. It's the intrinsic nature of the thing. The G2 is one of the lightest (maybe the lightest…

We just had a 3 day lockdown which gave me an opportunity to experiment with a 2070 super, 3080 and 3090. I built 3 almost identical machines all with same type of ram, asus x570 boards with 3950x, 5900x and 5950x cpu's. I've been trying different combinations with the parts and drivers etc. I understand there's not meant to be much "gaming" performance difference between the 3080 and 3090, but I can barely get a 2% improvement over the 3080 and it's basically performing like it's the same card? Have any 3090 users found there's anything unique they had to set for the 3090 to max it's potential in MSFS or other games? I also found what most people have be…

Hi. My "cockpit focus" and "camera reset" have stopped working. In VR they used to work fine, I have checked assignments and all looks Ok. I mainly fly the JF Arrow, but this problem applies to all vr friendly aircraft. Any ideas where else to look. Windows 10 and Quest 2 used.

Yesterday I was flying a multiplayer event with chat via Discord when suddenly, for me for the first time, a Discord message window from another server I am subscribed to popped up in my cockpit. I managed to disable the pop windows from within Discord but it got me thinking: is there a addon which brings the Discord app in VR? I have something similar for LittleNavmap. I mean a FS2020 native addon, not the WMR follow-me method. With Discord in the cockpit I can easily check who is talking, maybe even watch a stream from a fellow pilot.
