Since we first introduced FFR (Fixed Foveated Rendering), the community feedback has been great, and you've been asking for gaze tracking ever since, and today we're pleased to share this with you! If you've treat yourself with a Varjo Aero, you'll soon* be able to experience for the first time Foveated Rendering with Eye Tracking! *This is not going to be available right away - we still need a little time to polish it - but we already have pretty good results with it!

In VR I notice that AI aircraft ae just light blobs in the sky until I get close and then they sort themselves out. Also I installed Kai Tak (had to - lived there for 5 years and landed there twice), the guidance lights on top top of the houses again are huge blobs, until I get down close and they then look fine, Tried Bloom on and off. Any way to improve these? As always thanks for any tips

I was able to get VR running in MSFS yesterday using Oculus as the default runtime? When it comes to Windows mixed reality OpenXR runtime and OpenXR toolkit I am lost apparently... 😯 In the menu MSFS it says no headset detected when I try to switch to VR mode. Is there a step by step guide?

When I exit the VR mode I end up in the cliff house of WMR and the sound stay in my reverb G2 headset. to get the sound back in PC mode I have to close the Window Mixed Reality. Before the SU8 I didn't have this behavior CTRL+Tab closed automatically the WMR at the same time it return the sound to PC mode. When I updated I didn't change any setup. I noticed when I install the SU8 there was a openxr update that I also install. Some time when I close WMR the sim stop responding. Anybody have this issue ? My system: Windows 10, I9-9900, 32 gib Asus RTX 3080ti Realtek sound driver Thank you

Just wondering if any account is required or if its just a plugin device on your system like it should be. and if the answer is 'No', then is facebook/oculus/meta the only devices that require an account? I feel a bit cheated by the oculus/facebook thing as I own a Rift S but I never in any way wanted anything to do with facebook. thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd ask what others are getting in VR using SU8. For me the visual quality is lower, performance is affected especially on takeoff, and jerkiness when looking around. The WT G3000 really affects performance now. I'm sticking to basic GA now and not the Longitude until the next update which will be the world update. Hopefully much of this is rectified in that release. Asobo always throws in little updates even in the world updates. In the beta some said performance was degraded I see they weren't kidding.😌 Curious to hear others thoughts.

There's a plane that I found very awkward and didn't really appreciate until I got my G2. Yes the flight model seems to still need work but the look of the aircraft is so spot on it's become a new favorite of mine. In 2D based on your seat height you can't see from side to side unless you constantly play with your seat height as you taxi to the active or back to the ramp. But in VR looking around and side to side is not an issue and the cockpit just feels like it should. TrackIR makes things better depending on your settings but it's not like in VR. I went to our local FBO to see this bird in real life. A friend of mine has this aircraft sitting in one of the hanger…

On the whole, my setup gives me a pretty good experience, except for tree shadows. They can sometimes be really tough to look at. Almost like watching a 3D movie when the image has been wrongly inverted. I’ve messed about with various shadow settings, but nothing seems to fix the problem. How do they look for you lot?

hello everyone, i have a big problem with wmr / g2 / 3080ti and flight simulator 2020. i bought a gpu 3080ti suprim x, when i switch from tv to vr but especially from vr to tv, the fps drop to 2/3 until I don't close wmr and everything returns to normal from there. the problem does not always occur but usually on the second or third switch, I also noticed in the task manager that the window manager has a very high use. i tried with oxr toolkit, oxr updated, wmr updated, my ps system is an i7 12700k / ddr5 32gb 5200 / m2 samsung 980 for C and sabrent rocket 1tb pcie 4 for game / mb aorus z690 pro. i installed w11 but the problem occurs with both operating systems, I use a …

From the SU8 release notes : KNOWN ISSUE If you are using a VR headset, please make sure that the V-sync option is not set lower than 60FPS to avoid negative performance impacts. This one confused me. What's the consensus for Vsync in VR with respect to in-game or Nvidia control panel? I'm pretty sure I have it off in both cases. I'm using a Reverb G2.

With the Glass of the cockpit, views are a little on the dim side. Stick my head out of the window and the view is so much more pleasing. Is there any way to make the view through the cockpit glass any brighter? May not be realistic, but nicer! 😎

I'm using Quest 2 and I don't want to fool around with my current settings using wifi settings in the Quest 2. It's stutters but bearable. I'm using i7-8700k, 32 GB Ram, GTX 1070 ti, and Win10. Will I get better results using a 10 feet USB 3.0 cable connection? Thank you.

I am currently using an Odyssey+ WMR headset with the store version of MSFS and have the OpenXR developer tools and toolkit installed. I also have a Quest 2 available and though I have not tried air-link yet, I can get around 500 MBits WiFi connection to my router (WiFi 6), which is hardwired to my PC. If I link up the Quest, do I need to use it via Steam, or can it work with the existing OpenXR installation? I currently have a GTX 1080, but have a 3070 Ti on order.

Hi all , after borrowing one of these for a week I had to get one, great value for money. However I am still getting quite bad jerkiness / stuttering when I look out the side windows. I can be going 150 - 500 IAS , out the front is fine, but low down looking out the side windows is very very jerky. I switched developer mode on and I am getting a steady 59 Frames per second. I have tried all sorts of settings recommended on Utube, even set the SIm at default. At Altitude its fine. Low down Fly around Bowerman Airport in the USA , not good out the side Quest 2 settings 120Htz (tried 80/90 ) 1.5x 4224 x 2128 Tray Tool ASW Mode off ( tried 1…

Introducing SteamVR 1.21 Desktop View quality-of-life improvements and OpenXR tracker support Update Highlights Today's update features a couple of quality-of-life improvements for Desktop View and OpenXR support for Vive Trackers. Desktop Views now have a button to minimize all windows on the desktop. This is especially useful when users have a single monitor and the scene app displays a full screen window. We also added more graceful handling of the situation where a window that SteamVR is unable to interact with gains input focus. We detect this scenario and trigger the Task View, which restores the user's ability to use the laser mouse. We…

I've been chasing a CTD that started around the time I got my new Reverb G2 headset. I only get CTD's in 2D, never in VR. So after 3 consecutive CTD's on my test flight of KSRQ - KCLW (plus one CTD when I left my computer unattended while I was in the menu), I tried unplugging my VR headset (both cables) and I was able to complete my test flight and do another short flight to Plant City. So I'll call the first test after unplugging the headset a success and will do some more tests. Has anyone else encountered such an issue? I'm wondering if the headset is timing out or something...not sure why it could be causing a CTD when I don't even have Openxr or Windows…

Just thought I'd post this here to say first it was FS2020 that revolutionized simming but after have a VR headset 2D just look like what I thought FSX, P3D, and XPlane look like now. Not trying to put any other sim down but let's face it we'll dealing with cartoon simulators versus something so much more stunning. Now my son got me and Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas that I could never quit get to work with our Wifi. It was enough though to show me a whole new simming reality. In adjusting my sim for VR I ended up refining my sim to a point in 2D it's liquid smooth with the sharpest graphics I've ever seen for any game/simulation I've ever used.😲 FS2020 looks like…

I don't have Room Boundary set up at all but was wondering If it's any use for MSFS. Perhaps to momentarily see keyboard for pressing "B" key for example. So basically do any of you use this feature
