Hi, Yesterday I tried repeatedly to fly around Liverpool, but I had CTDs every flight, no matter what scenery mods (aircraft, scenery, airports...) I had installed in the Community folder. So I uninstalled everything, except libraries that some airports need, because I thought they were irrellevant if there were no scenery or airports selected (I use MSFS Addon Linker). As the CTDs continue anyway, I decided to turn off every library. And voilà! No more CTDs! Most addons are identified. Is the addon being vague or is MSFS not picking up on the model?

This is going to be huge! I've been waiting for this for a very long time. No more dealing with those annoying USER/USR waypoints and now we will finally have flight plan management that is much more realistic!

I use xbox controller in showcase mode on my pc. But since sim SU5 when I put drone speed to 100 it crawls at about 20. Anyone have a fix?

I hate cliff hanger topic threads so sorry about that but if I actually wrote my question the thread title would be enormous. I don't even like starting threads unless I feel I am out of options. Two things 1. Is there any way on PC to revert Xbox Controllers BACK to the way they were mapped before the system update without completely manually remapping the entire stupid thing itself? I've searched and Googled. No luck. Being forced into this weird console-centric controller mapping has been beyond annoying. 2. MSFS used to load for me from an SSD in about 2.5 minutes. It is still loadingnow after update, and it is almost 8 minutes, and still hasn't loaded. Anyone else see this?

I remember when I first saw this video and was like amazed at how awesome flight sims looked. This was 9 years ago. And now we're here 9 years later with MSFS and I'm curious to see how this same exact approach would look like in MSFS compared to FSX with full blown add-ons back in the day.

Since the hotfix, the sim has been running better than ever for me. However, I've seen a number of posts where users mention that their CPU and GPU resources are grossly under-used and that is the same for me. I also receive the "Limited by Main Thread" notification - on average, the sim is now using about 16% of my CPU resources and about 29% of my GPU, wasting a ton of my resource capability (and I have an older system). Is this main thread bottleneck something that will be removed in the future?

Hello all, I think I am in the wrong place but I cannot get into the MSFS2020 forum at the moment for some reason. Mods please move if you deem it necessary. I have a full Saitek yoke with quadrant, 2 x other quadrants, Rudder Pedals and trim wheel. With the throttles, I have the yoke quadrant to speedbrakes, throttle 1 and throttle 2, I am trying to configure my yoke quadrant (throttle 1 bottom detent) to toggle Hold Reverse Thrust. When I configure it, it recognises it as "RX" but then the sim locks up. I cannot validate, cancel or clear the setting. The only way out is to end task. Sometimes when I finish a flight and try another from a diferent aiport, a CTD happens.- I think this is happening after the last update

This might seem silly, but I noticed I like the discovery flight music. Anyone use anything to play music in the background while flying? How about for VR? What’s the best setup for this? Probably would get repetitive but would love the option to incorporate that music into my flights IRL, I have a Sirius xm subscription w/ my gtn 750 and my audio panel allows me to continue playing music in the background while flying. It’s a very cathartic and soothing experience to play channel 53 chill while floating on top of clouds haha. Maybe just having a Bluetooth speaker nearby and playing it outside of the setup? I’m thinking someone has this figured out though.

Are your taxiway light posts all yellow or are they yellow with a blue light cap on top? Mine are the former but used to be the latter.

When I land the 747 I am unable to steer it when it comes to a stop. Tonight as soon as I landed it veered sharply to the right and would not allow me to correct at all?

I contacted an Xbox guru, who finally answered my question(s) regarding whether you could access and use internet 3rP and such sites as Flightto. NOPE...the only 3rP you can get is from the M.S. store...so only what you see on your P.C. is available to Xbox Console users. Fatal revelation. If that will change, then I will be interested...but not to have access to all the great 3 million GB's of Community Folder downloads...is a 'no joy'. I land on a runway with a gear down warning, fine. Taxi into the water, raise the gear and take off and still have the gear down for runway landing warning even through the gear is clearly retracted? Should get a gear retracted for water landing. Also can land in the water, come to a stop, lower the gear to pull up on the beach and not get the gear down for runway warning. Yes the gear indicator lights are working correctly. It only counts the runway landings in the logbook. Now I am really confused. Same on all aircraft as far as I can tell.

If during a flight I am cleared to another waypoint in the plan and enter the DIRTO, why after I reach the Dir To waypoint does it not continue the flight plan? The A320 turns going back to another waypoint?

Did 2 flights one at St. Barths to St. Kitts and one around Naples. Shore lines look perfect now and everything looks great. One CTD but then all was well. Naples seems to have new photogrammetry.

I just downloaded the latest update from Asobo, and want to put out a warning to everyone who hasn't done this yet: there may be a glitch that causes one of the packages to crash and restart it's download multiple times. I wasn't paying attention, and let the download - which was supposed to be 41 gB - proceed unattended while we were eating dinner. By the time I got back to my computer four hours later, the updater had consumed 650 gB, which is 1/2 of my monthly Comcast data cap! So my advice to everyone: NEVER leave MSFS unattended while it is downloading an update, and keep an eye on the process, to make sure you catch a glitch like this before it can consume a huge ch…

I did a reinstall of MSFS 2020 and since then I've been unable to locate where the MS Store put my installation and hence, the Community folder so I can put my stuff back in. I've tried right click -> More on the sim tile but I don't have the option to Open file location. Searching my drives for "Community" doesn't turn up a result either. I'd really like to find the sim's installation folder so I can tweak cfg files.

I'm not prompted to update while running the Sim, and the store says there's nothing either. How can I tell if I'm up to date, and also get the most recent?
