Has anyone else seen this error/warning? Just popped up on approach and have 100MB connection!

Not sure if this is entirely possible…But is there a way to get the Honeycomb Alpha Light switches and their corresponding keybinds to properly function with “3 way” switches? For instance, in the TBM…The Taxi Lights, and Landing Lights are on a 3 way switch, with the OFF position being the third position. I want to be able to position the switch to the Taxi position when I use the Taxi Light switch on my alpha, and then to the off position when I turn the Taxi Light switch off with my Alpha. Same thing for the Landing Lights. I have not been successfully able to get this working with all of the different combinations of keybinds I’ve tried…so I’m taking a …

Not sure if it's just me but has anyone seen bad performance over cities? The popping is a lot worse than in rural areas, network connection drops which seems to be stemming from constantly loading scenery as I fly along, and stuttering/pauses with a uniform frequency meaning you can predict when the next stutter will happen like clock work (ever three seconds). Once away from cities the sim runs fine. Another thing I noticed is when taking off in the Ft. Lauderdale area I used to be able to look south at around 3,000ft and see the Miami sky line. Please respond only to which cohort you belong in, HDR users or SDR users. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most happy with image quality, 1 the least, choose a score which most approximates your opinion regarding image quality post SU5 1.18.15.1 hotfix. FOCUS ON coloration & lighting, versus LOD and sharpness if you will. This is probably an impossible subject to set up a poll for, but what the hey it might be interesting and stimulate more discussion, and Lord knows we seem to love discussion around here...! Thanks

Let's just assume MSFS will have missions, what would you like to see? Standard ones? Original ones? Keep in mind the new sim will be photorealistic worldwide so you can imagine missions in a particular location which would fit perfectly. Who knows, maybe yours will appear in the final product!

Guess you could say I'm a late bloomer with MSFS. Further, for this first time in forever, I'm enjoying vfr flying thoroughly. Just did a quick 10 minute flight this morning from OG20 (free orbx). I've been thinking about all the great freeware content on flightsim.to. Could it be an idea to let Microsoft host all of this on their servers and stream the content to the sim? Imagine all those airports one could land on! This would of course be an optional thing via a toogle in the sim.

Please delete this post if not relevant to this forum Below are 2 short videos showing water effects and behaviour in MSFS. Waves look totally amazing when the wind is very high. The Icon is a really fun plane to fly but its floating behaviour however is 'a tad' unrealistic. It should not appear to hover above the water at times, nor should it be able to take off in these conditions after being completely submerged. 😳 Also, 'landing' the Icon in the water with wheels down should result in some 'injuries', but apparently, no problem doing that. Lots of bugs and the procedure and phraseology errors are driving me nuts. This is coming from a pilot and air traffic controller IRL. Cant seem to make it go away. Just like those stupid pushback jockeys that live on the ramp of my MSFS rendition of my local county airport. Suggestions, Work Arounds, Etc are appreciated. Thanks -btacon

New GeForce 471.68 WHQL driver download

Control E autostart no longer works. Checked to see that it is still mapped in the keyboard settings. Started the TBM, but it will not go anywhere even with the brake released. It just kind of wiggles around. Rechecked all mappings and they seem to be OK. ATC settings for tail number and flight number disappear from the setup menu after a few seconds. Although I did find that it actually updated and shows on the aircraft and with ATC communications. Everything is removed from the community folder. Removed before the update. Hi, Yesterday I installed the new Nvidia driver (471.61). I did it because I was desperate. Tons of CTDs with no apparent reason (at the beginning I thought it was caused by object libraries or add-ons that collided with the SU5 update...), but, even without any add-on, MSFS insisted on crashing! So I decided to install the driver because I had nothing to loose! I did three different flights without CTD, but it was late in the afternoon and I quit. But this morning I tried again, and the result was the same: no CTDs. Well, this afternoon I flew and flew and... guess what, not a single problem so far!

Anyone else notice this it's around Riverside. Is it realistic or a bug?

Hi Guys, Has anyone got any idea why, when I turn on my pc, MSFS loads as far as the UI, then CTD. Install another griffics driver (older), MSFS runs fine. Restart pc and back to square one, every time. oh yeh, only add on is JF Pa28 Warrior II, and it makkes no difference whether on not it's installed. Rich

Greetings all, I've searched and searched for issues relating to my experience thus far, and nothing as really popped up that I can use. So, here's my issue(s). Pre-hotfix(es) the sim was running fine for me, didn't experience any CDTs. Now post Hotfix(es) I can load up a flight, cold and dark, at my local field (KPVU) and as soon as I try to pan around or go to external mode, a brief pause, and CDT. This has happened 3 times in a row, different airports, but they happen about the same time. Now, I haven't tried to load a flight already started on the runway, or already in the air. My community folder is EMPTY, no mods, no 3rd party stuff, nada! So, wher…

Hi, quite simple questions here. I see there are two versions of Tenerife Sur airport, one is by Aerosoft/Sim-wings and the other by Simbreeze. Which one is better? Also, does either one work better with the Island Creations Aerial Imagery and Taburet 5 M DEM terrain mesh? Thanks

There is an unnatural looking frosted appearance to trees now post SU5. If you've noticed this have you found a way to reduce or remove it? Thanks

With the new windows update and Game Mode working I flew GA from Gatwick to downtown London absolutely no stutters. That is the first time I've done this flight without obvious stutters.

Goody morning guys, I am experiencing a heavy stutter when flying through any kind of cloud while clouds are set to "ultra". I had this before SU5 so it's not a new issue. I am running on ultra preset with FPS capped to 30 and its completely smooth. But as soon as I enter a cloud it immediately starts to stutter and it doesn't make a difference whether it is a thick overcast layer or just a little high altitude stratus. I can fly near them, above and below, no issue. Only inside its a stutterfest. Setting clouds to "high" resolves the issue but I'd really like to enjoy the full ultra experience. I plan on installing this on my other machine with the posted specs, but was curious as to how well it would run at 1080p with an i7-3770k and an NVIDIA GTX 1080 (8GB) GPU. I have 32GB of RAM and running Windows 10 pro.

... is there a workaround? I was climbing to 30000 feet in my TBM and leveled at 28000 waiting for further clearence. ATC kept telling me to climb to 27000 and ended up canceling my flight plan for not complying. 🤬

First time trying this and can't get the gear to retract (so I can land on water). I have this toggled to my warthog throttle, I can "hear" the gear come down/retract but nothing actually happens. Similar behaviour if I just toggle with the actual gear in the VC via the mouse. No issues on other aircraft? Never had a single issue retracting gear at all. Anyone else? Edit: This is really odd the gear doesn't budge on the G1000 and steam gauge variant of the C172 floatplane, tested some other aircraft with gear and it retracts no probs. Am I missing something really obvious here??
