  1. I can happily populate the CDU on the x320nx and get the option to request IFR from Clearance, but if I do the same in the Salty747, I don't get the option. Is anyone aware of a step in the Salty that I must complete before the Clearance option is activated? or is there no link between the FMC and ATC at the moment?

  2. I hope I used the correct terms. I'm talking about nice bright scenery seen through the windscreen and at the same time dark cockpit gauges on the dash. There are settings in options that refer to a camera lens, such as depth correction, lens flare, lens correction. The human eye is not a camera lens and enables a great image while flying of the gauges and the outside world concurrently. The cockpit view camera in MSFS does not show what human eyes will see in the same situation. There are very nice affects as you move through time, space and the clouds. Except for the fact that you can't read the gauges, whereas in real life you could. The Asobo sim probably d…

  4. I am really appreciating the hard work and incredible detail put into these SAS liveries (older one shown here but newer livery included) by Grinde81. This has to be one of the most detailed ultra hi-res liveries produced for any aircraft, and if you have not already downloaded it, you might like to do so! Images here show the aircraft approaching Gatwick EGKK and then parked at the gate after landing. The flight originated at Haugesund ENHD in Norway.

Preferences are set to Hybrid, yet I still get the full Yankee: glass displays still list inHg by default. I know the G1000 NXi allows me to customise this, but the G3000 doesn't. What magic do I need for Asobo to honour the Hybrid setting?

  7. In FSX we had a keyboard command ctrl+Q or Q that artificially raised or lowered the horizon line relative to the pilots view over the cockpit panel. Is there a setting in the cameras.cfg (or available directly from keyboard) that replicates this in MSF2020 ? I took the standard default 172 and tried just modifying the eyepoint setting, but that doesn't give the same visual that moving the horizon line in FSX did. On the keyboard keypad, pressing 2 or 8 raises or lowers the horizon line nicely for the drone view. That's the horizon control i'm looking for but in the cockpit view. Jim

I really haven't been using MSFS even though I was one of the original testers before the release. Mainly when it was released, I felt that it still needed a few years to mature to a point where I would feel like it was the sim that I was looking for. I would keep updating the sim as new Sim Updates and World Updates would roll out but after each update and a brief flight around in the new version I would feel like it was still not ready. However, after the past few Sim Updates, the release of the TDS GTNXi750 as well as the Just Flight Arrow III to support it, I gave the sim a more closer look as to where it was. I did a cross country flight in real weather with sh…

  11. hi all, So, now that the A390 is even better, I wanted to do a nice long haul. However, after a smootht ake off from the new EBBR, somewhere after Ireland a huge stutter fest started. I'm still in this, maybe it will go away again, but I don't get it. Landing will be impossible that is for sure. I had it a few weeks ago as well. What could cause this? MY GPU is at around 40% and CPU 0&1 at 100% usage. With the shorter flights with the FBW a320 I don't have this. Any tips? I use the addon linekr for allt he addons. Maybe I shouldn't for planes? cheers Vic

  13. Hi there, Here's an early preview of gear operation using only the yellow electric pump via the power transfer unit. Once again no animation here: everything is simulated in real-time. That poor yellow pump takes quite a beating! Available in experimental. https://docs.flybywiresim.com/exp/

  16. Now using the new SimMarket App (it's really no other way now to get new products and update old ones from SimMarket), and trying to update several products for MSFS, noticed they have what they call a new "siminstaller technology", which I suspect is the same thing other vendors do (ORBX Central, Contrail) and most importantly, I'm getting extremely slow download speeds, in the order of 80 to 300 KB/sec (average of 120 KB/sec or so). Have anyone get the same experience with those d/l speeds?. I just opened a ticket to let them know the issue. Let's see.

  18. Started by haskell,

Does anyone have a working template for the FBW for Honeycomb? I downloaded the one from GitHub but there are several things that don’t work correctly. Namely, you can’t decrease altitude, only increase. I would also like the landing lights to be ON/RETRACTED as opposed to ON/OFF. FBW has the variables but RPN scripting makes me feel dumb. Just wondered if anyone had perfected it and would share. Thanks!

Does anybody know what happened to this project by Simcoders and JRollon for MSFS? I thought it would of been out by now as it was under development as early as 2020.

Hey, I noticed for some time that it was impossible for me to launch a flight with the FBW. Loading is slow and nothings happens. I also tested the Twin Otter and PMDG DC6 the problem remains the same. Yet asobo's planes work very well but i have this problem with freeware and payware planes.
